URGENT: V440 Solaris 9 does not start up anymore

Good morning all,
I am working on a V440, having Solaris 9.
Yesterday I have added a network card, that I have pulled out of another machine.
Now when I try to start the machine, that does not work anymore:
{3} ok boot -r
FATAL: system is not bootable, boot command is disabled(I launch "boot -r" in order to reconfigure the machine, so that the network card is added in machine's configuration.
After some investigation on the internet, I have found that in case of the mentioned error message, I need to restart by powering off and on the machine, which gives following result:
SC Alert: Host system has shut down.
SC Alert: Host System has Reset
sc> console -f
Enter #. to return to ALOM.
{3} ok boot -r
FATAL: OpenBoot initialization sequence prematurely terminated.
FATAL: system is not bootable, boot command is disabledOn the internet, I have found another way of working:
{3} ok setenv auto-boot? false
auto-boot? =          false
{3} ok boot -r
FATAL: system is not bootable, boot command is disabled
{3} ok reset-all

Data Access ErrorMeanwhile I have also tried to boot using a startup CD-ROM, which gives the same bad result as before:

FATAL: OpenBoot initialization sequence prematurely terminated.Now I am desperate. Does anybody have an idea how I can reboot my machine?

Thanks a lot.
I had already done some "show-disk", "printenv", "test-all", all possible boot commands that I could find, but the simple solution was (as you mentioned):
- "init 0" and "poweroff" the machine
- Open up the machine, and get the network card out.
- "poweron" and "boot" and see that everything is working again.
- "init 0" and "poweroff" the machine again
- Open up the machine again, but this time insert the network card back in place.
- "poweron" and "boot -r", the "-r" in order to assure that the machine is reconfigured in order to find the network card.
=> everything is working fine, and in "/etc/path_to_inst" I have found four "qfe" entries, meaning that the machine not recognises the network card entries.
Or how a simple wrong manipulation can cause a huge panic ;-)
