!! URGENT !!! Westell 2200 and ALLVOI VOIP

Hello:
I recently signed up with ALLVOI after voicewing terminated services.  I have a westell 2200 modem which is directly connected to the ALLVOI adapter.  This adapter is connected to a linksys WRT54G.  I am fine as far as outgoing calls are concerned.  But incoming calls are not coming through.  On the 3rd or the 4th try the phone would ring!! On contacting ALLVOI, they had me change the Static NAT setting on the modem.  I added the IP address of the ALLVOI adapter as a Static NAT (so that the firewall will not block this IP).  This worked fine for a day and now I am back to square one.  Again on contacting ALLVOI they said that the modem is not holding on to the STATIC NAT value!!  If I see my router settings, I do see the adapter listed as a device on the LAN.
Not sure what the issue is.. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

I have an idea.
#1 Put the modem into bridge mode.

  • Switch from Westell 2200 to Westell 6100

I am beyond frustrated. I was using the westell 2200 until it stopped working and was sent a westell 6100.  I cannot connect with the 6100 to my dell desktop because it does not have a ethernet drive. I was using the usb connection without any problems. Called tech support and nothing is resolved.
Is there a way for the westell 6100 to connect using the usb connection?  I was told to plug the ethernet cord to the modem and the usb to the computer, still no connection.  I would like to have my internet again.
    Someone please help me. Thanks.

    Ok.
    Cancel that.
    Go to http://www.westell.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=191&arcsection=support
    And get the driver.
    Please install the driver.
If you do not know how to, also get the Documentation.

  • Westell 2200 Modem, should I upgrade?

To all who can see this, I am running a Westell 2200 Modem with a Linksys Wireless-G BEFW11S4 Router.  Lately, probably within the past 6 months, we've been experiencing a multitude of Lost Connections.  The way it happens makes it seem like it's bottlenecking....everything is going so well, then it starts to plummet and within a few seconds, Download and Uploads show a 0 transfer and I have to go reset the Modem and Router.  This can happen as frequently as 8 times in just one afternoon, or as rare as once a week.  I cannot figure out why though, it's not like I'm online maxing out my bandwidth, it just stops.
I was told that our Transfer Rate was upped from 1.5 Mbps to 3 Mbps, yet I cannot get downloads of higher than about 286 Kbps and Uploads of 127 Kbps.  The Router was a replacement for an identical one that died about a year ago, but the Modem I've had since I started the DSL Service within the last 4 or 5 years.
My question is, should I get a new Modem and if so, what are some recommendations?  I know the Router is fine because all my Pc's still read a Network connection, they just can't get online.  I would also like to know if there is a way to get Verizon to confirm what my actual Transfer Rate / Allowance is, because I can't get anyone on the phone to assist me with that question.
I attempted to Post this in the Stickied Thread up top but it won't let me for some reason, so I'm making a new Post.  Sorry.

tazhyngarth, I just replaced my westell 2200 with a GEU003AD3 from buy.com.  I paid for it, verizon would not send me a replacement modem (although I did not try that hard...).  This fixed my drop outs and slow transfer speeds.  Although, your problem seems a little different than mine.  The drop outs were sudden, and the reduced speeds were more consistent.  Let us know if you get a free one and what the policy is.  good luck..

  • Going Nutz with my Epson 2200 and Missing icc profie. Pls help

    Thanks for looking.
Had to reinstall my driver for my epson 2200 and now when I go to print and select the proper paper "luster" I cannot find the selection.
I've downloaded the profile again from epson, installed and still cannot select it for printing in Photoshop CS2. I can see the profile in my colorsync libs but not in my PS print dialog.
    Please help.
    Thanks!

I am also having a problem with all the premium papers no longer available as selections in the printer settings portion of the epson printer driver dialogue box. I have three of these printers in a lab and noticed that it happened after replacing some of the empty cartridges. I have also noticed that the packaging of the Epson cartriges has changed and and it seems to have happened after using the newly packaged ink cartridges (all the info on the packages is the same except the new boxes are narrower).
Anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it?

  • BT Infinity and to VOIP

i am new to infinity and whilst having a "chat" with zara on the bt website i was invited to chat and discuss my broadband needs. i had orange livebox, unlimited calls and unlimited voip calls via a bt phone in the livebox/router. zara explained i would still have the facility to make international calls (australia) with my new infinity hub. i cancelled my free internet service from orange and ported over...when the hub 3 was fitted the engineer told me there is no way you can make a call via hub??? who do i complain to because the muppets i speak to in delhi bangaloor and phuket are hopeless and promise to call at given times to resolve this matter but never do. i was clkearly mis sold this service (i printed the chat history which states calls can be made via hub)
q can i insist they resolve this and or provide the means to make calls via my new hub?
q2 could i piggy back my livebox router via the phone line if bt configure this....can that be done
i am fuming and would appreciate some feedback
    yours
    steve

The quick answer is no. The livebox is an ADSL router which will only work on that type of line.
This is an all to common problem, I would rarely trust call centres with this type of enquiry! And unless you have retained an orange broadband account, access to second line will cease anyway.

  • Westell 2200 support for two computers?

I have a Westell Dual Connect DSL Router (A90-220015-04). Does it support two computers, if one is connected via Ethernet and the other via USB? I've search this forum, Verizon's entire website and google, without finding any definitive answer on this.
Also, if it is supported, how do I go about this?
With one computer, I am able to connect via Ethernet, but not USB. For the latter, I first disconnect the Ethernet connection, power off the Westell router, connect the USB wire (from PC to Westell router) and power on the Westell router. The power and DSL lights turn steady green, but the USB light remains dark. Is a driver required for a USB connection?
    thanks,
    -bob

It should be one or the other. You can not use both Ethernet and USB. If you have one, try an Ethernet switch connected to the modem. If I recall it will issue more than one address. But your best bet would be to go get a wireless router so you would have wireless capability, and multiple ports.

  • In need Of help with a Westell 2200 Modem and a new Router

    Okay, here's the situation:
I am trying to hook up a Linksys wireless Router.
When I try to access the Modem to activate "bridge mode," I am unable to. Apparently back 3-4 years ago, my mother thought it would be a good, safe idea to change the username and password of the router. It's real safe considering she forgot what she changed it to.
    My question is:
Is there any way/chance I can get into the modem some other way?
Thanks to anyone who can help in any way!

#1 When you tried to log-in to the router:
    a) Did you get a log-in screen?
    b) Did you try physically by wire connecting your computer to the router?
#2 Did you try the reset method?
With most network equipment, the reset method is..
Press and hold the reset button/switch while turning off and back on the power to the router.

  • Westell 9100EM and Linksys SPA942 phone

I just switched to FiOS and my internet connection is fine, with the glaring exception of my VOIP phone. The hardware is as described in the subject line. This is a pretty serious problem for me and if it cannot be resolved, will be a show stopper. Using my own router is not an option since that evidently breaks the television's on-screen guide.
I've placed the phone in the DMZ and it had no apparent effect.

    Who is your VoIP provider
If you log into the Westell at http://192.168.1.1/ (Use the username of admin, password being your router's serial number found on a sticker beneath the router), locate the Firewall Logs under the Firewall Settings and see if it shows any mention of blocked data whenever your VoIP phone attempts to connect.

  • HP Laserjet 2200 and new JetDirect card and DHCP

We had to replace the JetDirect card in an HP laserjet 2200.  As soon as that was done, the DHCP service will not give it an IP address in our network.  It has an APIPA address 169,254.X.Y.  The printer is in a distant branch office and so before I travel to the office I was hoping for hints on why this might have happened (and if anything can be done remotely).  On the laserjet 2200, there is no LcD panel or display to alter settings, so we must use the web interface, which we cannot get to.  Thanks in advance for anyone's thoughts.

It appears this is for a commercial printer.  It would be best to post in the commercial LaserJet forums.

  • LaserJet 2200 and Windows 7 Professional 64-bit - a mutual disagreement society?

In upgrading my XP Professional system to Windows 7, I've got a real problem linking to my LaserJet 2200d printer. The store that did the upgrade mistakenly upgraded to 32-bit Windows 7, but the printer worked fine. In doing the proper upgrade to 64-bit 7 Pro, a problem arose - nothing prints and the data light on the Laserjet 2200 does not even flash. Observables:
    1. I've tried all the 64-bit drivers published from Microsoft via Windows Update and from HP. Nothing works, including the universal printer driver and regressing to the 32-bit driver.
    2. The printer shows as installed, but with a yellow, triangular warning sign, yet there are no details on the problem or suggested fixes.
    3. Windows Troubleshooter doesn't fix the problem.
    4. I thought to uninstall all the drivers and start fresh, but links to HP's driver uninstaller yield a "page no longer available" error message.
I use this printer as my workhorse - sure would appreciate some help. I'm a nontechie, so step-by-step instructions would be very helpful. Thanks!

I am sorry, but to get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial printer. You can do this at HP Enterprise Business Community.
    I hope this helps.

Today I will buy an iMac with Mountain Lion.  Will I still be able to use my Epson 2400 scanner and 2200 printer?

Please carefuly look at Printing Overview OS X Lion to see if your devices are supported, they're quite old now so it's possible support for them has been dropped however you may still be in luck.
