URL address is not encrypted

Hi,
I am taking an online class. I need to asses this URL address and I dont know why I am not able to connect now, it is telling me there is an error. That the connection is not encrypted? Not sure what that means. However have been able to connect to this link since
Monday 7/11 till now! The only thing I did this morning was clear my history and cookies. I am not sure if this had anything to do with this. Please help me correct this problem, for I need to be able to access this link for my class. Thanks

Yes. It works for me as well. So it looks that they corrected the problem.
I see a very large image of 3,564.59 KB (3,650,138 bytes) that is scaled down 2,048px × 3,072px (scaled to 65px × 75px).
That is usually not a good idea as that requires to download that image.<br />
Firefox is also not very good at scaling down images, but with such a large reduction that probably wouldn't matter.

  • Why can't I copy a Url address anymore and paste it into an email or somewhere else ?

    I downloaded the newest version of Firefox and I can no longer highlite and copy any URL address so that I can paste them somewhere. This is not good as I often will want to copy and paste a Url address and now I can't. This is not progress to me at all . No where was this covered in any of your many topics that you have to scroll thru in Help pages , so please advise. Thank you

    I have downloaded the Theme Penguin 3.9.7 as that is the background I had used in the older version of firefox and now it doesn't look anything like what it used to be ...at all... or for that matter what is shows what it is in the choices of the themes.. If I disable it , then I can highlite and copy a Url address but not if I have it enabled. I also can't even type in a URL address into the address bar at all. So does this mean I can't use a theme and have to just stay with the regular firefox theme? It will let me copy a URL but only if I use that theme.

    1. Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data
    2. Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple Logo

  • Safari does not show url address line. google is taking up all the space...

    safari does not show url address line anynore. google is taking up most of the space on the safari page

    Hover the cursor over that line until it becomes a big plus sign with arrows on the left and right. Click and drag the cursor so that the rest of the address line is the way you want it.

  • Browser's helpful URL address bar is not actually ...

    In context to S60's default browser. When you start browser, it takes you to deafult Bookmarks page with URL address bar at the bottom of the screen. And there is pretyped URL http://www. to make life easier where we can starting typing main part of the web address.
    This is actually not helpful because -
    1) most of the web sites we visit from mobile starts with m. or mobile.
    2) many mail sites start with mail.
    3) and for all those websites which starts with www. can start without even mentioning www (as this has becom norm these days e.g., nokia.com, hotmail.com, ovi.com etc).
    Lets visit mobile.xyz.com. Since there is no direct way to go to URL address bar (except long way of going through Options), you type random character on the keyboard, this character gets typed in the bar and cursor is finally there, hit backspace 5 times and then you are ready to type the actual URL.
    What nokia should do is change pretyped URL to just http://
    Don't you think this is a common sense?

    I agree with you.
    It is very confused some time.
    Blackbery solved same problem easy. when u open browser default string http://www is already typed and if u pres backspace key (like delete or "C") it will delete www string only. hope nokia will find some solution for it in future

  • The url window will not take me to web address when I type it in. Has always worked before, I have not changed any settings.

    Suddenly today, the url window will not work. I checked Internet Explorer and it works fine on that. I type in www.ups.com and hit enter....nothing....what do I do to make this work again?

    This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
    *Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

  • Writing data into file from URL address

    Hi!
    I need to download file from certain url address and write it to file on my local disk. The file being downloaded is a image file and therefore
    I cannot make sure what encoding should I use. When I save file manually on disk and compare it with the file written programmatically, then
    the bytes in both files are not equal. Any smart advises are welcome.
    The code being used is:
    import java.net.*;
    import java.io.*;
    public class UrlParser {
         public static void main(String[] args) {
              String data;
              try{
                   // Construct a URL object
                   URL url = new URL("http://stockcharts.com/c-sc/sc?s=qqqq&p=D&b=3&g=0&i=t74934638175&r=4028");
                   // Open a connection to the URL object
                   String encoding = "UTF8";
                   BufferedReader html = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(url.openStream(),encoding));
                   Writer img_out = new OutputStreamWriter(new FileOutputStream("sc.gif"), encoding);
                   while((data = html.readLine()) != null) {
                        img_out.write( data );
                   img_out.close();
              } catch(MalformedURLException e) {
                   System.out.println(e);
              } catch(IOException e) {
                   System.out.println(e);
    }

    Use InputStream and OutputStream classes, not Readers/Writers. The latter are for "text" I/O, not "binary".

  • When I open a second Firefox browser window, the URL address window, instead of showing the URL, says "Go to a Web Site;" also, and more importantly, the "back" button is greyed out. This is a new problem, and the first Firefox window I open works fine.

    After I open the first Firefox browser window, any additional window I open does not open my homepage, but opens a blank page with "New Tab" showing on the tab. An orange "Firefox" tab with a drop down arrow shows at the upper left hand corner of the screen. All of the options (File, Edit, etc.) are greyed out, however they will work if you move your cursor over them.
    The URL address window says "Go to a Web Site". After I've gone to a website, the back button remains greyed out and I am not able to go back to a previous page. My RoboForm and Netcraft toolbars only show up in an abbreviate form. The add-on bar doesn't show up at all.
    Again, this is a recent problem, and only happens after I've opened one browser window (which works fine) and then open additional browser windows (as few as one additional).

    I had this same problem. Seems to be caused by the web developer tool bar FF extension (this started happening after a recent update to that extension). After disabling it, my FF is back to normal :)

    Try the Firefox SafeMode. <br />
    ''A troubleshooting mode, which disables most Add-ons.'' <br />
    ''(If you're not using it, switch to the Default Theme.)''
    # You can open the Firefox 4/5/6/7 SafeMode by holding the '''Shft''' key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
    # Or use the Help menu item, click on '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' while Firefox is running. <br />
    ''To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the Firefox shortcut (without the Shft key) to open it again.''
    If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. <br />

  • IPSEC packets are not encrypted

    Hello (and Happy Thanksgiving to those in the USA),
    We recently swapped our ASA and re-applied the saved config to the new device. There is a site-to-site VPN that works and a remote client VPN that does not. We use some Cisco VPN clients and some Shrew Soft VPN clients.I've compared the config of the new ASA to that of the old ASA and I cannot find any differences (but the remote client VPN was working on the old ASA). The remote clients do connect and a tunnel is established but they are unable to pass traffic. Systems on the network where the ASA is located are able to access the internet.

    Maybe my eyes are glazing over from looking at this for too long. Does anything look wrong? Maybe I missed a command that would not show up in the config?
    Thanks in advance to all who take a look.

    Marius,
    I connected via my VPN client at home and pinged a remote server, attempted to RDP by name and then attempted to RDP by IP address. All were unsuccessful. Here is the packet capture:
