URL autocomplete on my iPad - how to stop and clear prior URLs?

I visited a website yesterday using Safari on my iPad - Safari was in "private browsing" mode, so the URL should not have been saved. However, even though I have (1) cleared the history and cookies and data several times and (2) had Autofill turned off and (3) closed Safari and (4) powered down the iPad and turned it back on several times, when I type in two letters in the address bar, it is still autofilling the URL of the website I visited. I did not and have never bookmarked this URL, but now my iPad will not delete it and continues to Autofill it whenever I type in the first two letters of the URL. This has not happened before. I'm not sure what operating system, but it's an iPad 2 and I think it's the most recent iOS operating system. Help!

Its not backing up. They are called iCloud Tabs.
If in Settigns->iCloud->Safari is turned on. Tabs from your devides will appear on your other devices, and as such those tabs will be in your history.
If you don't want this you can turn it off in Settings->iCloud->Safari. On the Device yopu don't want to see the cloud tabs.

ok easiest way it to restore to factory setting and start from there. When you go to do your first sync you don’t “sync contacts or calendar”. When you add mobile me onto your Ipad select all the services that you want to enable and then mobile me will keep everything in sync.

Hi, i have a problem with write access for saposcol program. I see that the file saposcol is read the file but its unable to wirte the same.

When i try to stop the saposcol i get the following error:

Am doing this command through SID<ADM> from change directory /run.
Please help me how to check the permission of the SIDADM to stop the services.
I also try the same from root user but now use..
Please guide me how to stop and start the SAPOSCOL in AIX 5.3.

If you need to close ASM than you need to also close database
You need to close db:
srvctl stop database -d instance_name
or
set ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID
sqlplus "/as sysdba"
shutdown immediate;
srvctl stop LISTENER
srvctl stop ASM -f

Oracle Apex is an API, if that helps you understand / visualize. You do not start Apex process nor stop it.
When an Apex session starts it starts calling the API.
You can however start / stop the listener. It may be OHS, ApexListener and the J2EE container running it, OC4J or any other "server" that you are using.
The built-in EPG is something like an API again, you cannot start / stop it but you can disable/enable it with DBMS_XDB.SETHTTPPORT API.

On base 6.40 there were stopigs/startigs scripts, yes. When we upgraded our systems to 7.0 I encountered the same problem, the igs could be stopped, but not started anymore (externally). Can you check, if the startigs/stopigs-scripts are 7.0 or 6.40.
I then opened an oss and got as answer:
"To start and to stop the igs there's only the offical way by stopping and starting the sap system".
However I found a solution to start and stop:
start:
nohup /sapmnt/<SID>/exe/igswd_mt -mode=profile pf=/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/profile/<Instaneprofile> &
e.g.:
nohup /sapmnt/P72/exe/igswd_mt -mode=profile pf=/usr/sap/P72/SYS/profile/P72_DVEBMGS01_migzmc10 &
stop:
--> stopigs, therefore the 6.40-stopigs script has to remain in the exe directory.

What sort of "job" are you referring to? A print job? If so, open the queue for the printer - it should be in your Dock, or you can access it through the Printers & Scanners system preference - and click the green Pause button to stop the entire queue, or the Pause button next to a specific print job to pause just that job. To clear a job, click the "X" button to the right of the job.
If that's not the "job" you mean, please post back and clarify.

Hi,
I have installed BAM and now I do not know how to start and stop the application. Also I am not able to access to the home page.
I installed BAM by double clicking the setup.exe file. After following all the installation steps, a new folder has been created in my C drive (C:\OracleBAM). Inside that folder, there is another one called ClientForBAM. Should I have other folder besides the client? Inside the ClientForBAM there are lots of folders.
In the Windows Start menu I have a new group called Oracle_ClientForBAM32100. From there, I can access to:
- Configuration and Migration Tools
- Desarrollo de Aplicaciones (sql plus)
- Herramientas de Configuracion y de Migracion (Net manager)
- Herramientas de Gestion Integradas (Wallet Manager)
- Oracle Instalation Products
So, there is no menu option to start, stop or access to BAM. I've read documentation about this and saw that the home url was: http://simge-eai-dev:8081/oraclebam (my host is simge-eai-dev, and my port 8081) But when I type that url in my browser I get the following error:

Finally I found out what was happening.
Only the client was installed because in order to install the whole thing, it is necessary to execute the setup file twice.
The first time, the client is installed and the second time, the server.

In Flex 3 how to Stop and Replay .swf animation created in Flash

I have an animation file that is created in Flash (I think
CS3). In Flex if I import it inside a SWFLoader or if I import it
as an Image. It plays once and stops. Then I can not replay it. I
also can not pause it when its playing.
I have tried few things based on help and code available in
the Web to of no help. I have tried to convert the swfLoader
instance to a movie clip like so to stop

It does not work.
I have not created the .swf animation, I am not sure how it
is done. I belive it may not be using any ActionScript as I know
the artist who created it does not know ActionScript. Does
something need to be done inside the Flash to support the stop and
play? Or is there a way to restart/replay stop a .swf animation in
Flex 3 no matter how (and whether or not its developed using
ActionScript) its developed in Flash?

One way is she has to add some AS code to the animation, or
you can do it yourself.
In swf there must be something like this:

function myFunction(parameter:SomeClass):void {...}
And in Flex:
var connSender:LocalConnection = new LocalConnection();

The other way: in case with just play/stop there is a way to
resolve this by using that Flex Component Kit (or maybe "Flex Skin
Design Extension", i do not remember), it is something like she
just adding labels to animation frames then she exports it with
Flex Kit and then you can work with it like with an object with
"states".
