URL Boundary Rules and the minus sign "-"

Hi!
I need to set a Boundary Rule which contains one or more minus signs "-" in the hostname/domain, but Ultra Search doesn't accept such a rule and displays "Hostname can not contain multibyte characters.
I've searched the net for hours now, but haven't found a single explanation, hint or fix for this problem.

I'm having the similar problem - trying to limit the crawler to a specific website. I did set the crawler's source to www.x.com and set the URL Boundary Rule to Include host x.com. The crawler is only caching the first page and nothing else. If I dont include any rule it goes out the x.com website. I cant use depth cos' the leaf pages are at variable depth. Any suggestions??

Here are two messages as it pertains to the VZW URL coming up on the VZT Sign-In Page and the Email “Keep Me Signed In” issue:
I’m a VZT customer and want to sign-in to my VZT account. Why am I being sent to a My Verizon sign-in page with a VerizonWireless URL (website address)?

At least during the early stages of this important process you may notice a verizonwireless.com URL at the top of your browser screen – this is normal.

Try a reset: Press the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for ten seconds until the Apple logo appears. Note: No data will be lost

URL Boundary Rules/Include Domain

Hi,
I would like to restrict Ultra Search to get result only within the URL http://www.myWeb.com. So I set the starting address to http://www.myWeb.com, and I added a Domain rule to Include myWeb.com. This should limits the Ultra Search crawler to hosts belonging to myWeb.com.
But the results page lists a lot of other links such as crri.rutgers.edu/post/03/photos1.htm...
In the log file, these links seem to be rejected "WKG-30027: Not allowed URL: ...", but nevertheless processed !!
What am I doing wrong ?

URL Boundary Rules

Hi,
I'm trying to do the following. I would like to index the site "www.mysite.com/topic". But I don't want to index the root site "www.mysite.com" itself, links which point to this site from my /topic pages should not be indexed.
I did the following configuration Ultrasearch 9i:
- create a source on "http://www.mysite.com/topic"
- create a domain rule : include www.mysite.com
- create a path rule : include /topic
This configuration does index the link which point to www.mysite.com.
How should I configure the URL Boundary to achieve my goal?
Do you have here some input ?

HT5137 Words with Friends has frozen. After double clicking the home button, swiping or pressing the icon does not bring up the minus sign.

On my IPad Words With Friends has frozen. I have double clicked on the home button and identified the WWF icon. When I press and hold or swipe vertically the icon darkens but does not shake or bring up the minus sign. Any suggestions?

Force close apps
1. Double tap the home button to bring up the multi-tasking view
2. Swipe the app's windows upwards to close
3. The app will fly off the screen

When to export a numbers file to csv the minus signs don't work with R

Friends,
I have trouble getting the statistic program R to read my exported CSV-files from Numbers.
The minus sign doesn't work, R reads it as a factoric input rather than numeric.
Does anyone have a tip how to reformat this?

Wayne, actually, I'm not sure but I think that factoric - or factorial is the denomination that R uses to say that somthing is rather a text than a numeric number - I'm pretty new to R.
But, anyway, we solved the problem but in a lillte bit of an awkward way.
The problem is that the minus sugns in numbers is percieved as dashes in R
(http://www.R-project.org, a free-ware statistical analysis program)
So where there is a numeric input with a minus sign R thinks it is a letter rather than a number.
We solved it by exporting the numbers file to CSV, opened it in text editor, copied the suspisios minus sign and pasted it into the search field to find all dashes/minus sign that didn't work and replaced them with a minus sign. After this operation, nothing different could be seen in the text but R saw the difference.
So this makes it difficult to explain by posting a screenshot - it looks the same but it isn't.
The funny thing is that the dashes that numbers use when to express a date are percieved as minus signs by R.
Can anyone understand what I tried to explain? And if so, is there a simpler way to do this? We have a lot of minus signs to export to R.....

Accessing the minus sign... Euclid Symbol Bold from InDesign

I am working on a project for a client. I am using InDesign CC. Text is coming from Word on Windows.
They are using MathType for equations and expressions. I want to be able to use the same minus sign in other places, but am getting an en dash.
The Euclid Symbol minus sign has rounded ends, like the +, =, <, >, etc. The en dash has squared ends.
I have no issues with the other operator symbols... just the minus sign.
How do I get access to the minus sign?
Currently using the TTF version of Euclid Symbol.

Select Glyphs from the Type menu and see if there is a glyph you want in that font. If not, you may need a different font (possibly an OT Pro version).

I’m not sure what’s wrong with my Mac book Pro just yesterday it was working fine and then I tried to shut it down it wasn’t working it just freezed so I pushed the restart button and since then it’s not working all I get is the Apple and the loading sign and it’s been like that for a while, I have tried shutting it down from the button again and it still giving me the apple and the loading sign can anyone help me please

Disconnect all devices from your MBP. Boot up from your Tiger, Leopard or Snow Leopard Install DVD *(you don't indicate which OS you are using)* while holding down the "c" key.
Select the language you wish to use, and then choose "Disk Utility" from the menu bar.
Your HD should appear in a panel on the left hand side of the window which opens. Select it and then click on the "repair disk" button in the right hand section of the window.
Once this process has been completed restart your computer and repair permissions directly from Disk Utility.
If Disk Utility is unable to complete the repair, you will need to use a stronger 3rd party utility like DiskWarrior, Techtool PRO (not Deluxe) or Drive Genius.

So I'm on a 2011 MPB using 10.9.5.
I've closed it after using two nights ago, and when I came back home the day after and tried opening it, all that appeared was an alternation between the apple logo and the forbidden sign (here it is : http://stickeramoi.com/3447-3369-large/autocollant-panneau-interdit-interdiction .jpg)
I've tried repairing the disk but that failed.
Tried also re-installing OS X on it but that took about 17 hours (which is ridiculous) so I've cancelled that and instead, tried restoring a Time Machine save.
After it finished restoring the latest backup, I'm still faced with the same problem. It just won't boot.

From console commands to installing Lion through Internet recovery...That's it, I give up
