URL Cloaking doesn't work with Safari - IE & Firefox work fine

Hi There,
just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.
If I choose "URL Cloaking" from the domain options on my ISP's site, Safari cannot find my site, or links on the site quite often will not work.
IE on a PC and Firefox on both platforms work fine.
Does anyone have any suggestions? My Site URL is: www.svelte.net.nz
Any help would be much appreciated as cloaking hides the .Mac address which is kind of useful.

I turned URL cloaking off so hadn't come back to the forum to see your reply - sorry for this. But now I need to have cloaking back on.
I'm not an HTML coder so don't know what I'm looking for. I might send this in to Apple and see If I get a response. Anyway, here is the code in case you or someone else knows if the ISP has got something wrong.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Safari copy url button doesn't work

I just upgraded from an ipad2 to an iPad air 2. Before, if I wanted to copy and paste a url I'd use the copy button. Now,on the new iPad air 2, the copy button just wipes out whatever I've previously copied, and doesn't copy the url.

You tap and hold down in the URL field until you get the option to select all. Then you choose the option to select all. An option to Copy appears and you select that and then you should be able to paste that URL into a text field.

I Realize that you must know the steps but I am just double checking. If that is not working for you, and you are not having copy and paste issues elsewhere in other apps, I would try clearing Safari, force close it and then reset your iPad.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History and Website Data
Now force close Safari. In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Next, reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

URL blocking doesn't work on E4200

I have the 1.0.03 firmware installed and URL blocking doesn't work. I assigned the policy to the entire address range and could still access the web site I wanted to block.

On a laptop G4, 10.5.8 and Safari 5.02 I experience the following:
On the account of my oldest daughter everything works fine, i.e. wireless internet works and no problems with mail or safari.
On the same laptop, on the account of my other daughter, the wireless is OK, she can mail etc. But safari nor firefox works. It says: can’t find server (whatever site) and in the activity window it looks if safari tries to open files (in the safari preferences-folder) in stead of http. Same applies to Firefox, so maybe it has more to do with HTTP in general?
What goes wrong? What to do? I tried the following on the host terminal (tips from Apple)
defaults write com.apple.safari WebKitDNSPrefetchingEnabled -boolean false
and
defaults delete com.apple.safari WebKitDNSPrefetchingEnabled
but that did not help,

I'm still wondering why it happens now at this moment in time...
PC does seem to be a bit odd & inconsistent, the few times I've tested with it, at least so far as we content filtering goes; and if I remember rightly, you're not the first to report previously ok settings suddenly preventing some or all internet until pc is switched off altogether.

Go buy yourself a iPhone 5. Sync your iPhone 3GS to iTunes on you computer so you have a back up ready to put on the iPhone 5. If you want you can update your iPhone 3GS with iTunes on your computer, but this is not necessary.

thanks so much for your posts back. I really appreciate it and yes that does help to know that you could not get it working.
I did have some success, in removing the SSL Authentication checkbox in the smtp server settings - I found that this allowed my friend to be able to send mail from the mail app via his sbcglobal (yahoo) account.
So that did help but of course the messages do not have ssl encryption and I'm not sure how big a deal that is for an individual. He is able to receive mail but unless the SSL authentication box is unchecked, he cannot send.
i hope that helps anyone out there also!

From my tests, everything is normal and it seems there is no setting in browser to configure this number.

Recentl I have downloaded battery monitor 3 app from store.
That doesn't work fine as I have to manually touch on it to show the updated remaining average use!

It's working fine for me.
I have noticed that it is possible to deselect all the estimates in the main app screen so wonder if that could be your problem. Make sure that at least one icon has a grey background as in the attached grab - 04 selected, 05 deselected.
I don't remember being able to deselect "Average Use" in earlier versions.

Filter Web Template with URL Cmd: doesn't work with compound infoobject ?

I've to filter the query contained on a web template with URL command, but it doesn't work.
The web template contains only one query, and on the free chars I have 0PLANT.
I call the web template adding to the normal url the following command:
&FILTER_IOBJNM=0PLANT&FILTER_VALUE=33
where 33 is the code of the plant I want to filter.
The command is executed, I think, because the result is "NO APPLICABLE DATA FOUND". The fact is that when I execute this query on the Bex filtering 0PLANT by value 33 the data exists.
May be because 0PLANT on our system is in compound with 0SOURSYSTEM ? In this case, what's the value I can use as filter ?

Firefox can't deal with links from Wash. Post. Get invalid URL errror message. Works fine on Safari, though.

The home page of the Washington Post works fine. But If I try to open a link on that page, I get the message:
Invalid URL
The requested URL "/wp-dyn/content/article/2011/03/05/AR2011030500289.html?nav=hcmodule", is invalid.

Cannot browse with Safari, but Firefox is working

Hi. We've got an iMac G4 (2003) running OS 10.5. I can open Safari, and can get to my Google home page, but anything after that gets "stuck". Any other website we try to navigate to doesn't load. The beach ball starts spinning. Email app is working fine. Firefox is working fine - and very speedy. Is there any way to re-set Safari? Any files I can dump to get this working again?

I am having a similar problem. Web pages (particularly image-intensive ones) don't fully load and stop with error messages and graphics missing; however, when I use Firefox they load perfectly.
I have had Bellsouth DSL service to my house 4 times prior to realizing that Firefox worked while Safari didn't. This happens the same on all 4 macs in the house. When I boot up in Windows using Bootcamp, IE Explorer works perfectly as well.
it is beyond frustrating. Anyone have any ideas???

Url variable doesn't work in IE

Hey guys, my page, www.powerhouse.com/Products/Inventory.php I have a bunch of links that reload the page with a url variable. If FF 3, this works fine, yet in IE 8 the page does not load. My error log has the following error:
script '/var/www/powerhouse/public_html/Products/inventory.php' not found or unable to stat
what stupid IE Hack do I need to get this to work?

You don't need any IE hack. I have just tested the page in both FF and IE8. It works just fine in both.
However, it's very noticeable from your error log that it refers to inventory.php (all lowercase), whereas the actual page is Inventory.php (initial cap). The other thing that's noticeable is the path, which indicates your server is running on Linux, which is case-sensitive.
From this, I conclude that you originally coded the page using inventory.php, and later updated it. This suggests that IE8 is probably still using a cached version. Clear your cache, and the problem will probably go away.

Isight not working with safari or firefox.

Hi I own a macbook pro thats no more than 4 months old. The issue started yesterday when I wasnt able to use my isight with any website on the internet. My isight works fine with photobooth, skype, ichat, etc... it only doesnt work when I try to use it on the internet.
Now ive looked at some threads on here because im not alone on this issue but ive tried everything ive seen on here and nothing has worked. Ive ran my disc utility mulitple times (before and after reinstalling flash player 10) repaired and verified permissions also. My software is totally updated, and ive shut down and restarted multiple times as well. This is not just a safari problem, as im having the same issue on firefox. All my plugins are updated and enabled on safari and firefox. Im not sure what to do from here. Ive I can get some help that would be awesome

Depending on system configuration and installed third-party items, various users have reported different methods of restoring Flash video website functionality:
(1) For those who have installed Google plugins, user OysterOyster reports that uninstalling them restores proper iSight function with Flash and Mac OS X 10.6.5.
If Google is your problem, the GoogleVoiceAndVideoUninstaller.app should be in your hard drive's Library/Application Support/Google/ folder. (not your *Home > Library* folder)
Other users confirm that using the Google uninstaller works, including your post here:

URL button doesn't work after export into ppt/word/pdf

Hi,
I am working in Xcelsius.
Lets say I have placed a URL button in the Canvas and mapped that to a path of the file(which is not actualy an URL),but any path of the file which is present in the local system
After exporting this dashboard into ppt(or word/pdf),when i click the button,its not redirecting me to a target.
But during Preview of dashboard,it works fine.But after exporting,the URL button not redirects me to the path specified.

H323 static Nat doesn't work fine on 3900 series router with IOS 15.2(3) T

I have a problem with static nat setting on my 3925 router with IOS15.2(3). The scenario is like this:
I set a static nat between 172.16.1.2 and x.x.x.x(public IP address) using following command:
ip nat inside source static 172.16.1.2 x.x.x.x
The intranet IP address is set on a video conference system from Huawei, after setting all these things, ping works fine to this public IP address, but video conference cannot be built. I tried same setting using another 2811 router with IOS12.4 and it worked fine. Which means the problem should be isolated to this 3925 router. Full config is also attached, sorry that I elimated the public IP address and use other characters instead.
Additionally, I debugged ip natting and I see following information when making video calls:

i have the same requirement for a customer, not for video but for audio calls, i have a remote office with h.323 phones and they need to get registered to a gk in central office to send and recieve voice calls, did you make it work? can you share the config please?
