URL_DATASTORE .pdf's created with Adobe Distilller 4.0

I am running Oracle 9i (9.2.0.1.0) on Solaris 8. I am using an Oracle text URL_DATASTORE to index pdf's, word docs, and html files. I am able to successfully index and query for all documents except for pdf's with interactive fields created by Adobe Distiller 4.0. All other PDF's work fine (including those created with distiller 5.0). Is their a known problem with this combination (Distiller 4 and Oracle Text 9.2 ?). When reindexing a Distiller 4.0 pdf I get the following error in ctxsys.DR$INDEX_ERROR:
DRG-11207: "user filter command exited with status 1"
I created index w/this statement:
create index f_and_d_intermedia_index on forms_and_directives(intermedia_index)
indextype is ctxsys.context
parameters ('DATASTORE CTXSYS.URL_DATASTORE filter ctxsys.INSO_filter');
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I know of no problems, but support might. I'd recommend logging a tar since they have the 'master' view of the bug database and their internal knowledge base.

That is hardly a solution, the whole purpose of upgrading to Adobe Reader X is to avoid potential threats. There is obviously a problem with Adobe Reader X and veiwing certain documents that needs to be addressed and the way to address it should not reside with "Use Adobe 9 and Adobe 10 and pick whatever version works for your document"

Cannot opening PDF created with Adobe Acrobat 5 on Samsung Android device

Hi I have an number of links to PDFs on my WordPress.com blog home page (www.creationtonewcreation.com). These were created in Adobe Acrobat 5, with security applied that allows viewing and printing. They open fine on my laptop (e.g. with Google Chrome), but when trying to open on my Android mobile (Samsung Note 3 - a standard design) with Acrobat Reader installed, an error message appears 'The document cannot be opened because it is not a valid PDF document'. It is a valid PDF as it was created with Adobe 5 itself. Do you know what the problem might be? I have uploaded another PDF (not sure what this was created with) on my other WordPress.com site, and it downloads fine, so WordPress.com is not the problem per se. I am so sorry for the inconvenience caused & will try my best to get this issue resolved.
I will recommend you to upgrade your Adobe reader to Adobe Acrobat Reader DC on your Samsung Note 3 mobile phone and then try to view the pdf files. You can download it for free from the Google app. store or you can refer to this link Acrobat Reader DC Learn & Support.

Can't open pdf created with Adobe Acrobat Pro

I can't open a pdf (that was created with Adobe Acrobat Pro) using Reader 11. However, the file will open with an older version of Reader (10.1.4) on another workstation. Is there any way to resolve the problem?

Reader 11 is not available for general release. If you participated in the beta program, there is a place for this discussion which you have been provided. If you did not participate in the beta program, then you should not yet have access to Reader 11. I have just checked the Adobe website and it is not available to download from there.

I tried both ways and neither works. It gives me a prompt box that I have to click "next" for every page but after going thru all pages, nothing is sent to the printer.
Also, all directions I've read indicate it will print to the default printer. If my default printer is on a network, will that cause problems....
and...
should I be getting a prompt box on every page? I thought all this would happen behind the scenes and not force me to interact with every page.

I try and open them in Reader (double left click on the file) and all I get is a single screen with two overlapping frames neither of which have anything to do with the subject although the presentation title is at the top. One of the frames had "Adobemail.com" on it. Our work computers were recently up-graded to Adobe XI and this was the first time I tried to open a presentation that has worked fine in the past. I would have thought that Adobe XI would have been backward compatible, but it doesn't seem so. Adobe software reads form fields. The rules for how to do form fields are a part of the PDF standard (a book available to anyone) but some companies ignore it and others do half a job. To be safe, use only Adobe Reader. And beware of browsers that ignore Adobe Reader even if you have it.

Off the top of my head, you should be able to create mail templates in muse BUT it will require very basic html/css knowledge on your part. I am assuming you want to do just the signature?
Create the design you would like on one page, dont do any kind of styling in a master page. Then export the site into a folder. Open the html file with notepad/ textedit and then copy just the code for JUST the template. Throw it in you mail app of choice and it should work.
This seems like something that would be done alot quicker in dreamweaver in design view.
PLEASE NOTE: ^i could be completely wrong - but in theory this may work.

Could you please attempt to shed some light on why FLVs created with ADOBE MEDIA ENCODER CS6 do not display thumbnails in ADOBE BRIDGE CS6, yet apple finder is able to display thumbnails for these same FLVs without issue?
I'm running CS6 Production Premium with ALL updates installed on 10.6.8

A) knows the answer because they actually work for adobe
B) actually tried this themselves before attempting to provide a solution
If the conclusion is that it is a codec issue or a header issue with the FLVs You'd have to present a very strong case to back that claim up as it makes no sense whatsoever that CS6 is unable to generate thumbnails for media encoded using CS6, yet Apple finder can without issue. NOT to mention the FLVs in question are CREATED on the same machine with the same codecs installed that is trying to generate previews in Bridge.
Apologies if my frustration is showing, I've gotten and seen several... incompetent replies on this forum regarding this issue and it has never been actually addressed properly as far as I can tell by Adobe support.

We are all just incompetent users here. As pointed out before this is just a user to user forum, Adobe rarely checks in.

If the form was created using LCD then it can only be edited there. This
application used to be bundled with Acrobat Pro, but that's no longer the
case. So if you want to edit this file then you need to purchase it, yes.

PrE 12. How to deal with black screen "Created with Adobe Premiere Elements trial version"?

I'm really considering purchasing PrE 12 and would like to try it out. (I have another video editing software and would like to try this one.)
When I add video, I get a black screen "Created with Adobe Premiere Elements trial version". When I hit play, I can hear audio, but I don't get any video (just the black screen). Is there a work around, a setting that I can change, or is the trial version supposed to show the black screen?
