URL Display Widget

Is there a Widget that allows you to create a hyperlink to the URL for another page so that page displays where you have placed the widget container.

Please elaborate more as what exactly you are referring to, which iframe widget ? also by url do you mean page url where you are using iframe ?

Muse COMPOSITION Light Box Display Widget and other Widgets

How is one supposed to import images into the COMPOSITION Lightbox Display Widget. I followed an Adobe tutorial that said, "place an image to the page, then cut the image so it's on the clipboard, then paste it to the thumbnail".
This seems ridiculously tedious and time consuming.
Why is there no right click menu on the thumbnail itself for placing images?
After following these instructions I was confronted with the fact that the image did not resize automatically to fit the thumbail. To get the "Trigger", "Image Frame" and "Image" to be equal in size using the arrow tool is no quick task. (Muse badly needs "fit frame to content" buttons.)
I managed to link several images to several "Triggers" but can't figure out how to link more than one image to the "Target" div.
The "Target" Image frames are stacked one on top of the other so once I linked an image to one of the large target hero slides in the gallery it was impossible to link any other images. It is possible to drag out the "Target" frames so that they are visible so long as the gallery doesn't exceed five images and one has the available screen space. But this brings me to my next issue with Muse.
Why don't the alignment tools work in any of the widgets? It's so extreemly time consuming and tedious to have to size and center all images by hand. What makes it more tedious is that there doesn't seem to be an isolation mode where one can just work with the image portion of a gallery widget without accidently selecting other parts of the widget instead.
Why doesn't "group" functionality work inside the Muse widgets? The ability to group objects would make scaling and resizing tolerable.
In addition to trying to use the COMPOSITION Lightbox Display Widget I also tried the SLIDESHOW Lightbox Widget and had many of the same issues as described above, save importing images. What is the intended distinction between the Composition Lightbox and the Slideshow Lightbox?
I wanted to build a website in Muse because I thought it would be quick and easy without the tediousness of hand coding. However I'm finding it's taking longer to do things in Muse since the widgets have such limited functionallity and the customization tools are so clunky.
What workflows did the Muse team have in mind for customizing image galleries, specifically with regards to linking images for thumbnails and large slides; scaling lagre slide images for uniformity of size and centering slide images? Or is Muse just a victim of it's own simplicity?
I would love to know that there are indeed workflows for these issues otherwise I see more disadvantages than advantages in using Muse over other tools.

I would also like to know this. I am having trouble editing a composition gallery from a purchased template. I basically want a lightbox gallery with triggers on top for different categories. :/

How can I prevent the url display from sometimes being overwritten by button icons?

The address in the url bar is sometimes overwritten by a line of button icons, which can overlap onto buttons beside the url display.

Sure hope that there is an easy solution. I reverted to the Classic Display to work around it, only to find that it didn't solve the problem.

That is not normal behaviour and is caused by one of your add-ons. Just to be sure, '''try Firefox Safe Mode''' to see if the problem goes away. Easiset way is to redirect societ...com to the forms url which can be done in the proxy/firewall or in the webcache of IAS

Services Object_Create external doc. (URL) & display the attachment list

we are developping an interface in Web Dynpro Abap in order to manage an existing flow in SAP R/3 (4.6c).
In this context, the following functionality need to be developped:
- Create external doc. (URL) for objects like service notification, sales order and documents;
- Display these documents.
These functionnality are provided by the Objects Services.
Is there functions module we can use in SAP R/3 to manage that ?
Iam not in charge of the WDA dev. I just need to specify the SAP R/3 stuff.

Wrong URL displayed

Hi,
I have a web application in which there are tabs inside a page.
what is happening is,
Lets say I navigate from tab A to tab B.
The URL should change from ../A.do to ../B.do
But it keeps showing ./A.do
But the data displayed is ok.
Can anyone please tell me how to fix this and what are the consequences of not fixing this issue.

I don't know how you implemented the tab solution, but if you're forwarding the request using RequestDispatcher#forward(), then you should use a redirect with HttpServletResponse#sendRedirect() instead to get the desired result. This will create a new request object on the given URL. The consequence is that you will lost the initial request object and its parameters and attributes.
In the future, please post Servlet related questions at the Servlet forum.

How can I make "Goto url" display back in box

I'm using 4.0 pre version.
You know, in the pages, when mouse hovers on a link, the url of it appears on the bottom. But in some older version of nightly build, it displays in the address box instead. I quite like this feature, and how can I find this back?

URL Display Pattern

I have a field that's populated by a partial URL that I'd like displayed as a full URL. I had assumed the pattern would be:
'http://www.mysite.com/'AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
...but this doesn't work. It simply shows the stored values. Any suggestions?

I enter numbers for the phone number as directed, eg, 1234567899, but I always get an error message saying to input the info using numericals but also to input it as 1234567899 (which I did); but once I click ok, it inputs it the way it is supposed to. Any fix on how not to get that error message, as I was putting the info in correctly? Please help!

We have a requirement where
we will get the URL's(number of URL's changes according to the ouput) as query output
These URL's need to be Displayed on the screen
Here in our code we are getting URL's in this way

When i bind it to the context as mentioned above and get the node size using

it si returning nodesize as "1"
actually it should return two URL's
but now the context node element is returning only one URL?
Could anyone please let me know...i am missing something
is it something like we have set the nodesize before?

Issue with Media URL display in 4305G

I can run a mpeg URL if it is posted in Media URL within DMP by clicking Start but if I try sending the same URL either through Startup URL or as a Job I get an error "Write enable the disc or try different folder."

What is the format of the Video Content? MPEG.
What is the sample URL that you are using? http://10.1.10.10/test.mpeg
What DMS-DMP version are you running on the 4305G? 5.2
In 5.2, There is a Startup "Media" & "Browser" URL. For "video" content you need to use the MEDIA URL. I have tested and it works fine.
Yes when I paste this url in Dispaly Actions --> Media URL and press Start works fine. But the same URL I try to submit using Go To URL it gives error "Write Protected". If I give the same as Startup URL in Media - no display.

Why can I not see the URL display when I mouse over a link?

When I mouse over a link the URL does not display at the bottom anymore and I cannot figure out how to make it display so that I know where I'm going before clicking. I only just recently noticed this happening and am not sure what changed.

FEATURE REQUEST: urls display without extensions (mod_rewrite in .htaccess)

Just had a client ask about the file extensions appearing in the web address bar... home.html, about.html, etc etc. His previous site came from a wordpress environment where everything was pretty, but his bigger concern was how he has posted urls all over the place without the extensions for the last five years. (And without the extensions, none of his external page links that point to the new Muse site work properly.) So, not being a programmer, but being resourceful, I did some research and learned all about adding mod_rewrite to the .htaccess file on Apache servers. Thankfully it was a relatively easy fix. The links my client has all over the interweb (without the extension) now point correctly to his pages, but once inside the site, all menu links still display with extensions. And so today I'm going back through the entire Muse site file and change all the automatic internal links (that use the .html or .php extension) to external links (without the extensions) to satisfy the client's request. I thought it might be something designers would appreciate as a feature in Muse, if there was the option to truncate the extensions within Muse by adding the code to the .htaccess file. Somtime in the dim past I enabled "Display url on mouse-over." Now I want to turn this feature off but I can't find where I turned it on. Anybody know where this feature is?

Getting Compositions' Lightbox Display Widget (Horizontal accordion) to close

I created this effect using the “Basic” tool in the “Slideshow widgets library”
I used two slideshow images.
IMAGE ONE
The first slideshow image on the screen is setup without any background/outline fill.
Since this shows automatically when you first display the page.
The trigger is also set to no outline/fill (its active state).
The text I added is also set with no fill. (its active state)
The second slideshow image has the trigger menu with a grey background,
IMAGE TWO
When you activate the menu button (or trigger), the second slideshow image appears with the Menu item widget placed inside. The first slideshow button highlighted in grey now appears with the text “close” showing. (both set as its normal states). When you mark close button the menu will slide off the screen and the “close text and highlight box will disappear.
Note: this setup will have to be placed on every slide, since placing it on the master page will default to the back.

Navigation and URL display

i have a problem with Navigation Rules and URL-Header in Browser.
let me say i have the follow project with this structure:
index.jsp forward me to home.jsp.
in home.jsp i want to go to XXX.jsp, if i click the link i go there, to XXX.jsp, if i look to the URL, i still see home.jsp, and if i click a link YYY.jsp from XXX.jsp , i'll go to YYY.jsp , but in the URL still XXX.jsp ...etc, also i see allways the last Page and not the current. also it shows me allways from where i come and not where i am.
and this is a Problem, if i send a form in xxx.jsp and then navigate to yyy.jsp, and in yyy.jsp i do a browser refresh , my form would be sent again and again for every site refresh.
any idea what did i wrong or what should i do!

That's the default behaviour of RequestDispatcher#forward() (forwarding the request object to another page). If you're using navigation cases, then add <redirect /> to the case so that it invokes HttpServletResponse#sendRedirect() instead (redirecting to a new request, and hence the change in the URL).
