URL for query
Is is true that when queries are saved in roles, URL for display of the query in the WEB is created?
If yes , where I can see this URL.
Thanks
Hi,
If you have a Browser, you can see the query URL through that. Or the simplest way is to hit the publish query button in Query designer and in the address bar of the Web browser window you get the URL.

OpenDocument URL for SAP BW query
Hi,
We have built universe on top of SAP BI query and created the variable for Fiscal Year. When I run any WebI report created from the same Universe it automaticaly pops up the window to pass the parameter for Fiscal Year.
I have created two reports one Parent and other one is child. For the child report I am passing the Fiscal Period value as Period 05 2010. When I click on Parent report link to show child report it shows me the MDX error instead of report. (The report works fine without link)
Prompt Name: Fiscal Year
Values: Example Period 04 2010,Period 05 2010, Period 06 2010 etc
URL is:
="<a href='../../opendoc/openDocument.jsp?sPath=[PublicFolder],[MSS],[MSSScorecards]&sDocName=Scorecard&sType=wid&sWindow=Same&sRefresh=Y&lsSFiscal+Year=Period 05 2010'>Click</a>"
Please suggest me if I am missing anything in the URL and let me know how to format the URL for SAP Query based universe.
Environment:
BOE XI3.1 (Web Intelligence)
SAP Integration Kit 3.1
SAP BI 7.1
Thanks,
MoogiHi,
the product group is working on extending the functionality of the int.Kit and improving the integration between BOBJ and SAP in general. Stay tuned for future releases.

"Rows" is the expected number of rows that will be returned by that step of the plan
"Bytes" is the expected size of the result set returned by that step of the plan
"Time" is the expected execution time --- this can be grossly off because Oracle uses some assumptions about singe block read time, multiblock read time and CPU speed.

Show search term in URL (for google analytics)
Hi there,
I was hoping someone might have advice for a newbie question.
When someone searches on our website we'd love to know WHAT they are searching on
(this would allow us to create more products based on searches - e.g if lots of people are searching for Red then we'll create more Red products..)
Our website is: http://www.angelaromatics.com.au
The search url is currently coming up as: http://www.angelaromatics.com.au/Default.aspx?A=ProductSearch&ID=/search-results&SE=True
Our search section is set up as:
[code]
<form name="catsearchform5878" action="/Default.aspx?A=ProductSearch&ID=/search-results&SE=True" method="post" class="search">
<input type="text" name="CAT_ProductSearch" class="entry_form" placeholder="Search our products here..." />
<button type="submit">Submit</button>
</form>
[/code]
Is there anyway to get into the URL the query / search term (so google analytics will list it in results)?
I'd love any adviceconsider the query result (short description) as a string (say String S1). Use string tokenizer and get each word as a token. consider your search query(eg: cold) as another string (say string S2). check for each token if it is equal to your string S2, show it as bold(using <b>) else print it as it is.
I hope this helps. -
Hi all,
I am trying to create a URL as a receiver for a BI Query. It appears to be truncating my URL. Is there a maximum length for a URL in RRI?
The URL I'm trying to use is http://##.##.##.###/xxxxRegistryDemo/Report.jsp?r=aGFsdG9ufmhhbHRvbn5FbnRpdHkgRGV0YWls&o=
I added the # and the x's to the URL for display purposes.
Thanks,
MoragThere should not be any restrictions, the RSBBSQUERY table URL field is defined as STRING type.

Default URLs for discoverer 4i
Hi All,
Could anybody please tell me the default URLs for discoverer 4i adminitrator/viewer/plus and how to create a discoverer 4i user account so that user can log in and use the discoverer viewer/plus?
Thanks a lot!The administrator is a client-tool, installed from the bi-tools cd. The default url for viewer/plus looks like http://<server>:<port, default 7778>/discoverer/plus or /viewer. When you don't run in applications mode (for Oracle eBS) then you can use db-accounts to logon to Discoverer, in the Administrator logon with the EUL-owner, go to manage->privileges and give certain db-accounts the privilige to query/create workbooks and manage access to one or more business areas.

Page not cached because "URL contains query string"
I have used JDeveloper to produce a search/display page using ADF where the user enters search criteria and then presses a Search command button. The parameters are POSTed to the webserver, and I need to devise a cache rule to cache pages using the entered search criteria so that another seach for the same values can be served from the cache.
I have created a rule that will cache GET, GET with Query String and POST.
I have put .* in the POST body. When I do this, the first query page is retrieved from the origin server and cached and resulting queries with different search criteria are returned the data for that first search (ie. it's not taking into account the search parameters).
If I switch off that rule and look at what's being received, I see the following:
/158.234.27.10:8889/BM/faces/physical.jsp POST;;;event=&form1:selectOneChoice1=0&form1:selectOneChoice2=&form1:selectedDate=2004-08-10&form1:table1:rangeStart=0&form1:table2:rangeStart=0&form1:table3:rangeStart=0&form1:table4:rangeStart=0&form1:table5:rangeStart=0&form1:table6:rangeStart=0&oracle.adf.faces.FORM=form1&oracle.adf.faces.STATE_TOKEN=3&source=form1:commandButton1;;
Now, there are 3 search parameter fields that need to be considered - the others should be ignored:
form1:selectOneChoice1
form1:selectOneChoice
form1:selectedDate
It's not clear to me where (and how - in what format) I specify parameters to ignore and parameters to consider. I have tried listing these 3 parameters in the URL parameters table for the Rule (I did not specify a value - should I have done?) but when I do this, the page is not cached and shows the reason for this is that "URL Contains Query String".
Can someone explain how to specify important POST body parameters and unimportant POST body parameters?
Thanks,
AndyHi,
Please go through this:
http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_02/caching.1012/b14046/cache.htm#sthref1530
Hope it helps you. I think you should be able to configure the intended rule in Web Cache.

Masking HTTP inbound URL for security and control - Seeking Ideas
I am working to transition an application to XI that is based on HTTP posts from vendors to provide data. In order to use the XI Plain HTTP adapter for inbound requests, I need to provide the vendor a very long url and query string that identifies the target system as XI (since the query string structure) and makes it difficult to make changes to the configuration without notification of the vendor (because of the values required in the query string).
Has anyone found a way to mask the query string using a BPM page or another method to provide a simple url to integration partners that will translate into the fully qualified url within my environment? We solved this by using reverse-proxy with URL rewriting on network (NETAPP) appliance.

Mallikarjuna.kHi Gregor,
In the note 1149346 that you have mentioned, it says -
You must start the input-ready query in change mode.
BEx Analyzer: In the properties of the analysis grid, the switch
"Suppress new rows" must not be set. Furthermore,
the switch "Allow entry of plant values"
must be set in the local query properties.
I have not seen this setting Allow entry of plant values in a query - can you tell what is refers to?
