Url is changing unknowingly

Hai,
When ever iam moving to the properties of the dashboard, and clicking on the "move up" button to change the position of the tabs, the url is changing unknowingly.... this is occurred regularly...please find me the solution.

Right or control click the + then click Remove Item.

Why does my custom HTML newsletters absolute image urls get changed into imap: urls

I made a custom newsletter email in which all my images are absolute URLS. I use Thunderbird to send it out through my imapped google email account. Once I send it the URLs get changed and for some reason brings my tracking URL into the image URL as well from the bottom of the page.

The URL never changes regardless of which page I am on in my website. For instance, my "Welcome" page is; www.lisarene.com, my "Blog" page is www.lisareme.com, my "Photo" page is www.lisarene.com......
Is there a way to have the URL specify a specific page in my website, for instance; www.lisarene.com/photos.
It seems like others are questioning the same thing but I haven't read an answer specific to this question.

Yes, there is a fix. My site can now be reached by typing my domain name in the URL, with the www.yournamehere.com or with out the www - just http://yournamehere.com The URL now shows specific pages such as; yournamehere.com/Recipes/Entries/2007/10/5_Flatbread.htm
This was the goal for many of us. This way we can direct someone to a specific page/entry in our blogs/websites when using our purchased domain names.
I went to the link Varkgirl suggested and followed her directions as posted in the link (note her PS further down on the thread, where you need to put in your www.yourdomain.com into your .Mac account settings).
It works perfectly! I managed it and find these things daunting at times. If your like me, take your time, read through the thread a couple of times and then simply follow the directions Varkgirl shows.

How to set Alias name for URL or change URL..

I am using Apache Tomcat as web server, it contains multiple web applications.
Url for one of this application is, e.g. http://localhost:8080/myapplication. This particular url work fine.
But i want to use only mypage word instead of all the above url.

Still its not working.
I feel it is because during authentication we give the login name (which is taken as the display name).
Is there any way to change without touching configuration level properties in exchange server 2007.

Color of opened document's url not changing (visited color)

Hi guys,
Just like a visited url is presented with a different color in browser, i want document links in my SharePoint libraries to take a different color when a user clicks on them so that later on the user can easily distinguish which documents he/she has already
opened. At the moment, i see all document links in the same blue color.
The browser in question is IE8 and I have already tested with disabling the option "Use Windows colors" in Internet Options. Any other suggestions.

You should be able to override the css by
a:visited{<value>} or td.classname a:visited{<value>} it depends how
the style looks like.
a:link { color:#FFF; }
a:visited { color:#000000; }
IE Developer Toolbar is a good tool to gain the css style.

URL Not Changing Session State Variables Specified

I am trying to change a variable on a target page with a URL, however, the variable never changes. The variable is set to 8. I send the following URL which should change it to 0 but it does not change.
We just recently upgraded to 1.6

Absolute URLs being changed to relative URLs

(Using DreamWeaver CS3)
DreamWeaver keeps changing the Absolute URLs for this site's
Flash menu into relative links which crashes the menu. Does anyone
know how to stop this?
The Flash menu source code is hard-coded into the DW Template
file within OBJECT tags.
Note: I have the following option checked (it's the default) -

Keyword.url gets changed to slirsredirect

Some process is changing keyword.url in about:config to the following URL....

I've tried uninstalling WinAmp, but the issue is not resolved.
I can browse the internet fine - problem is I want to customize keyword.URL with a different URL. Every time i quit firefox and restart it, the slirsredirect URL reappears in keyword.url .

To revert to Google as your preferred search engine, please do the following. 
* In the location bar, type '''about:config''' and hit Enter. 
* In the filter at the top, type: '''keyword.URL''' 
* Double click it and remove whatever's in there and replace it with http://www.google.com/search?q= 
The URL to add in "keyword.URL" becomes a link in this post, so right click it and choose "Copy Link Location" to copy it to the Windows clipboard. Then hit CTRL+V to paste it. Saves you having to type the whole thing.

Bad URL when changing personal icon

After some unsuccessful attempt to change my icon, I finally realized that image URLs with capital letters extensions (.JPG, .GIF) are rejected as "bad URL".
Pls correct this or add a remark to the error message.

I would suggest that you remove that restriction and accept extensions with any combination of upper and lower case characters (e.g. rename them to lowercase on the fly during submission). Many times (e.g. on windows), the extensions are hidden by default and it might not be obvious to the casual user how to modify it.
To the OS, a JPG is a jpg is a JpG. Same difference! So why should a website care at all?
There is no reason to make users jump through flaming hoops for nothing important.

WPC - Article - Advance Paragraph : URL Color Change

Hi,
We have WPC implementation on EP7 (2004s) & SP18. We have created an article with advance paragraph. In running text on the advance paragraph contains URL which has been shown with default color (blue). We would like to change the color of the URL into #7bb0dc, which does not exist in the color pallet.
Can anyone please help / suggest, how do we achieve this functionality?

Thanks for your response. Actually, we tried these CSS and dont find any class id related to URL on the Advance Paragraph running text. Actually, when we open the page on runtime (open source) with notepad, found the below code which does not have any class id.

SharePoint Workflow Manager email urls not changing

Hello Experts,
I have created workflow using VS 2013 in SharePoint 2013 using Workflow Manager
every thing is working fine .
but over due e-mails of Task assigned shows url in the form of servername like http://servername/...
i want to show FQDN.
server is on Production so can not create new web app .
Please help . i have already changed default zone url to FQDN.

Internet MP URL keeps changing.

I have a problem with one laptop I have that keeps having its internet mp url. I have two MP's set up as internet & intranet MPs. Is it normal that the client would switch between the two? I go in manually and change it on the
client but it keep reverting. Is this normal behavior?

URL Color change

Hello,
Iam displaying an URL as an HTMLDB item. The URL is displayed using the href HTML tag as follows :
SELECT ''||URL||''
INTO p_var
FROM table1
WHERE <condition>
The above is being used as the source value in the 'source' region of the item. Now, I want to change the color of the URL being displayed. Can anyone tell me how I can add the color of my choice to the displayed URL ?
(I tried adding HTML Form Element Attributes to no avail).

You could wrap it with the HTML style tag. You could also use a defined class from your CSS, or create a new one if you want it to be different from the others.

Url wont change with each tab

The url stays the same in each tab even though I am looking at different sites. So if i opened up Google last then i change to another tab with hotmail the address is still Google even though I am in hotmail.
