URL item and folder
I Have a folder with a URL Item. The URL is a link to a form developed by Oracle Forms.
I have set my folder as following:
Delete Form (URL Link)
Description: This forms is used to delete projects from the database.
Now, when user clicks on the delete form link, the form should show up in the same folder or portlet. Although i have set the DISPLAY options to LINK THAT DISPLAY ITEM IN FOLDER AREA, the form lunches in the full browser window.
How can i force the URL to lunch in the same folder or portlet.???

I'm currently running portal 10g rel 2 and this is my issue. I have a bunch of url items on a page and when I change languages and update the items display name and url and submit my change it updates the display name for that languages but over-writes the url for both English and French content. Has anyone else experienced this? the same thing happens on 9026 as well. Can someone help?

Hi,
I have a Portal site in which I have setup many URL items. The URL items all point to PDF files (reports) on the local server that are updated nightly by night operations. I have one file that seems to be stuck somehow. When I open the file directly on the server the report date reads January 7th, however when I login to the Portal site and try to open the link it opens with a report date of 12/18. It doesn't seem to matter what I do the link is stuck on a report from 12/18 for some reason. I have tried the following to no avail:
-Cleared my local temp internet files, cookies, history, etc.
-Hit Clear Cache on the Portal site
-Removed the URL Item and recreated it
-Removed the physical file from the server completely (it still opens the report from 12/18)
-Searched the server for a file containing a date of 12/18 (nothing)
-Logged into the Portal site from different computers and as different users.
We are not having issues with any other files/URL items, just seems to be this one. Any suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

JoeThe problem seems to be related to cache yet you have done quite a bit to see if it really is due to caching.
you can try to verify if it is a cache issue and then fix it as follows:
1. change the browser to access it. if you were accessing it through IE then try using firefox or netscape or some other browser.
2. or use some other machine, ask a colleague to access that file from their system. if the item persists it would be above system's cache problem.
3. now to clear the cache for the AS, you may also clear plsql cache. for that, if you are using version beyond 30x then
- remove the folders of pmd, session and plsql in midtier\apache\modplsql\cache\.
- then restart the oc4j_security in infra-home;

Spotlight lists items and shows preview images. BUT what about showing the path/location address of an item in my computer.
Especially important if I've put the item in the wrong folder and what to locate it without multi-steps. iMac OS X 10.5 was more useful.
Old OSX Spotlight function automatically displayed path/location within the machine: e.g. desktop/folder/sub-folder/item.
Can I make Spotlight show the path?Press option-command and the path is displayed at the bottom of the little preview window. Press command-return and the enclosing folder opens.

Just bought a new imac and tried to download all my music from my iPod but it only allow me to download purchased items and not the rest of stuff stored on a previous pc itunes folder. How do I get round this ?
The simplest way to transfer everything is to copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder from old computer to /Music/ on new computer.

Need to pass user_id and password in URL item attribute of workflow

I am facing an issue in creating an URL in workflow builder.
Basically i have created an URL Item type attribute with value

My phone has been hacked - opening texts, editing items and typing URLs
Something crazy is going on with my iphone. So far today it has done all of the following when it has been sat on a table, with nothing near it, and nothing touching it:
- opening text messages and scrolling through them
- entering my contacts and editing (deleting items and selecting new images)
- entering my photo gallery and selecting images
- opening search
- opening safari and connecting to the internet
- opening notes and copying and pasting items
- opening call history and calling people from my 'last dialled'
earlier when i was logged into twitter it sent to tweets - i lost all control of the screen. The first said 'En' and the second said 'E' (not anything dramatic) - but i had no control of it and had to turn it off and restart.
I reset all the factory settings but it's made no difference. I've since removed the sim card and turned the phone off - but i don't know if this is enough.
In addition to this - it was plugged into my mac syncing yesterday. Today when I turned my mac on, the green light next to the webcam will not go off - should I be worried about this?
Any advice or help is gratefully received!When did you drop it (possibly into water)? Sounds like the digitizer is randomly generating taps/presses/swipes. Time to visit the Genius Bar and find out what the replacement is going to cost.

I do have a custom-item with a procedure associated, that takes some assigned custom-attributes of that item and insert's/update's database-informations.
After clicking the procedure-link of this custom-item all this happens and work's fine up to this point.
Now the Browser display's whatever the custom procedure generates - at the moment 'procedure successfully submitted'.
i have to redirect to the Folder where this procedure has been invoked. i assume that using owa_util.redirect will get me there, but how can i get the actual folder-URL to pass as argument?

Figure out the url for a folder ( Mouse over any folder link to get this). It's something like: http://host/pls/dad/schema.wwv_main.main?p_language=x&p_cornerid=x.....
Now modify the procedure attached to the custom item to accept all the neccesary parameters needed for the above URL. Then modify you custom item to pass all these parameters like siteid, cornerid. This should give you all the parameters you need to construct the redirect url.
Note: p_currcornerid parameter is same as the p_cornerid and you might not even need to pass all the parameters you see on the URL. Most of them take defaults.
Also, in the redirect url, you don't need to pass the complete url with host, pls, dad. A relative URL should work -
When creating a URL item for linking to our network drives if the path has a space within it, it will fail. Those paths without spaces will work correctly. Without having to rename the directories is there any other value that can placed into the path name to indicate to portal that it is a space (portal does not recognize the commonly used %20).
ex.
file://X:\name_of_folder\name_of_sub_folder\document1 (this will work)

We are currently running version 3.0.9.8. Apparently this version does not support that function as well as the newer versions.
We use this to initiate applications on network directories that have dependencies on those directory structures. Typically they are internet applications that a vendor/service provider provides. Some of these require a client side application to be installed. Most require the specific folder/directory/path created by the install to work properly. As far as I know the portal will not support this within its database structure.

Thank you!Plain AppleScript doesn't have that kind of dialog, but you can access various Cocoa methods in Snow Leopard and Lion. In Lion, you create a Cocoa-AppleScript Applet from a template in the AppleScript Editor, where you can use AppleScriptObjC statements. Since the script can only be run in the application and not the AppleScript Editor though, it is a little bit of a pain to troubleshoot - Shane Stanley has written an ASObjC Runner background application that can be run from the AppleScript Editor, if you wanted to check that out.
Running the Cocoa-AppleScript template, you can use something like the following - see the NSOpenPanel Class Reference for other methods and settings:

TS4153 few files and folder are not deleting from trash folder
i am trying to delete all files and folders from the trash folder by clicking empty securely, but its not deleteing the files anf folder. please suggest how to clean the trash folder by deleteing all the deleted files and folder.
Securely deleting items in Trash writes Zeros over the data so that it is completely eradicated.
This will take quit a long time depending on how much data you have in Trash.
Unless there is data that needs to be rendered unrecoverable in the Trash, you could choose to just delete the files and folders with out the secure option.
Once you have Emptied the Trash unsecurely you can always use disk utility to Securely Erase Free Space on the Drive. -
How to display URL images and URL link (html) from Smartforms?

I'm having difficulty on how to display targeted URL images and URL link from the smartforms, after i sending it out as html mail. The mail i sent just can be preview as a plain text, which can't execute the html code that i put inside the smartforms itself. I follow a few step from this very useful blog.. Page break between line items and address in invoice
Hi Team,
I am getting a Page beak problem between line items in an invoice.
If i have 10line items which needs to be displayed in the output all are displayed in 3 pages. but my problem is when displaying the line item details in any page it should be fully displayed on the same page else it should go to the next page for display.
Each line details needs to be printed on same page only (currenty Items and adresses are split up in different pages. ).
Please let us know how can i solve this.

I have already done creating a folder and grouped the text elements as you have suggested in Mainwindow. I guess my explanation on my issue is not clear.
Actaully after printing the number of line items in an order we are printing the Certificate recevier details as a last row which is now having the problem, and it is getting truncated into two parts when enough space is not there to print on the same page.
If i make the text element related to the Certificate receiver properties to Page protection will it work ? i will try this option now..
Mean while any suggestion on this regard is welcome.

I get Singed out of eBay.com when I bid and when I go to a other item.. I can be on "my eBay" and just click on any other item and boom I'm on a page that says I need to sing in..if I click back it brings me back to "my eBay" and I am still singed in but if I was not to click back and I click on sing in I have a page saying I singed out.. sooo I do the obvious and clean out the cache and so on, disable all and then just some addons and try again and just to be sure I opened IE9 for the first time ever on this year old pc and it works fine so I know the problem is with FF4 but I'm out of ideas so what are my options? I dont wanna have to use IE9 but I need basic stability!!

Make sure the files are not marked as read only and, if necessary grant both your account and system full access to all files and subfolders of your media folder.
You can set Part of a Compilation for multiple tracks from the Options tab of Get Info.
