URL link in the notifications

When we receive the notifications it has a URL link to click on to view the data, any idea where this URL link gets created completely? What are the packages or config files to look for.

A:The URL is an attribute. You are responsible to set this value.
Q:Second problem in the DEV instnace when we use the workflow notifications to notify the users when the report gets completed it send a URL link but it is pointing to different instance> any idea which profile option or file entry need to be changed?
A:Check your notification object and see who is the performer.

How to remove bullets and spacing for url links in the Related Links iview?

I tried to look for a property that I can edit the look-n-feel of the url links in the Related Link iView using "Theme Editor".
All I need is to remove the bullets and increase some vertical spacing between the links.
Currently, it looks like this:
URL iView A
URL Iview B
I go through the whole section of Related Links properties, none of them seems to do what I want.
Here are the list of properties in Related Link section (of Navigation Panel):
Link Color
Text Decoration of Link
Hover Color
Text Decoration of Hovered Link
Initially, I thought "Text Decoration of Link" should be the right property I should look at. But there are a drop-down with 5 options: None, Underline, Blinking, Overline and Line-Through, which really can't achieve what I want.

Hi, Kai.
I checked the Related iView properties (URL Template), I don't see what layoutset it is really using. I am not sure, is that a layout set apply to the Related Link Iview?
For the regular KM iView, I will see what Layout Set I want to apply, then I can go and change the properties (of layout coontroller, collection renderer & resource renderer)you mentioned. But for this Related Link iView, I really don't know. I guess it may be in the code itself.
If there is a layout set for Related Link iView (or the place to apply layout set to it), can you point to me which one is that? (I did a search through the layout set names, I only find the AppQuicklinkExplorer (I used this for Dynamic Nav. Link iView before), if I can aply this layout set to Related Link iView, my problem will be solved.)

I findout that there is no option in the standard text to add a url link and i findout the solution also we can create text module sepreatly ,here we can add a url link and then add in the smartfrom.In this way the user only can edit the text contents of the samrtfrom without seeing ht settings.

Hi Srinivas,
"i want to add only one particular table not all tables", you can do this using a Custom Transaction Code, the following are the steps to do it:
1) goto se93, give a unique name, say zxxx
2)Enter SE16 into the transaction field and select the flag the skip initial screen field:
3)On the lower portion of the screen, enter the following information:
Name of screen field: DATABROWSE-TABLENAME
Value: Enter the name of the table you want to browse with
4)save it.
5) Now add the transaction zxxx in th role, and assign it to the user.
With this, when user executes the transaction, he/she will be able to see only the perticular table you added.
"in PFCG what is the use of Exper mode for profile generation. what is the difference between general profile generation and expert mode profile generation".
Expert mode has 3 options:
1) Delete and recreate profile and authorizations---This will completely delete the old profile and add only the new once.
2) Edit old status----It will edit the old values
3) Read old status and merge with new data----This will add the new values aithout actually disturbing the old ones.

Remove approve reject link in the notification

Hi,
I want to remove the approve and reject link in the notification. I only want the users to log on and approve and reject. The email has to be HTML mail. How do you hide or remove the approve and reject link ONLY for my wf notifications and not for everyone else's.

Hi,
You cannot change the functionality for only one notification or process. If you want to send summary emails, then you need to set either the global preference or the user preferences. This impacts all notifications in the system for that particular user.
There is no other way to remove the links from an email, but leave them in the notification.

URL link in the standard Sourcing mails

Hi All,
I am working on Sourcing 7.0 . In my production server scenario we have two URLs Internal and External.
All the sourcing emails will contain the Internal URL (sourcing server) in the mail content for the documents. So user will be not able to access the mail outside.
I want to give external URL in the URL link present in the email content for document.
>How can I achieve this?
>How can i map the internal-external URL so user can access the sourcing email and will be able to open the sourcing documents?
>In the standard email template, is there need to make changes for URL?

First of all correct my understanding on your question, U want to have external (outside) URL in the internal sourcing mails sent??
PLease find the below details in case of mail changes;
1) first of all you need to create a custom mail template for this and follow step2
2) if you want to give some out side URL in the standard conent, you need to maintain the URL itself.
3) FInally associate it with the mail configuration.

Open a URL link in the same window as SWF file in indesign CS5

I am trying to create a SWF file using indesign CS5. I have created buttons and placed in URL links but they always open another window. I would like to know if there is a way to have the URL open in the same window that the SWF file has been created. I tried, putting "_self" to target it in the URL bar, but nothing works.

Okay, I found the code but I can't get it to work locally. If you have a web server maybe you can upload the files (swf and html) after you Publish them:

you have to have on the stage a link element called "testlink" (see the code above) which would be a Movie Clip with the label testlink. It can be anything from InDesign: a button, a rectangle, a circle, a graphic, you get the idea. Just select that object in Flash and label it testlink or anything you choose but if you change the name from testlink also change the name in the code snippet where the line "addEventListener" is.

How does one get a simple URL link onto the Designer Form?

Greetings:
Thank heavens for small favors, kudos to Adobe for Designer and its basic email functionality.
One annoying thing, I am finding it impossible to put a simple link on the Designer Form. Likewise, if I open the form in Acrobat, the link icon on the toolbar is greyed and unavailable, so I cannot select text and turn it into a link.
I have found that I can make a bookmark with the form open in Acrobat and make that a link to a URL, but I cannot specify the initial view to show the bookmarks open, so there is a very good chance this bookmark/link will never be seen.
The HTTP button help states:
"The HTTP submit button operates like a standard button object with these settings:
Control Type set to Submit
Submit Format set to URL-Encoded Data
Submit To URL set to use the http: protocol."
which doesn't sound like it's meant to function like a simple link, and trying it anyway I get an error message that the url is incorrect.
Any ideas on this?

By the way, I figured out where to apply javascript to a button. Being new to Designer, I did not see that slender script interface at the top.
James' xfa.host.gotoURL("http://www.yoursite.com",0); does indeed work like a charm. I just selected the button, selected Javascript instead of FormCalc, Selected "click" from the event dropdown, and pasted in xfa.host.gotoURL("http://www.yoursite.com",0); (changing the URL of course).

Changing the URL link of the mail

We need to change the login URL present in the mail notification sent from the SRM ( like the standard mails sent to the approvers) . We want to provide a different URL than the standard URL sent . How to tweak the standard URL present in the mail?. Any help is highly appreciated.

You can link it to the respective bar(value interaction) you want to be passed as a filter for the destination report.
Please make sure that the destination report has the column which is being passed on.
Set the navigation target for the graph accordingly on the graph properties.

URL link at the end of flv/swf video???

Hi, I need to have a link at the end of a video so the viewer can click on it and go to a survey page.
We need the viewer to watch the entire video so it has to be at the end. I'm not an AS expert but I have the Master collection so whever software it takes I should have.Video was done in Premiere exported through media encoder and I have used either Flash to make a custom player or Dreamweaver to embed in a web page. The video plays fine but no link.
I have tried this in Flash but keep getting weird loops.

One big issue though is that the link is automatic (which is ok) but the link forces a popup window instead of the same browser window which the popup blockers block. Is there a way to make the link stay in the parent by defining a target?
Also what if we wanted the viewer to actually have to click to visit the link; what would be the process/code for that?

URL Link and the W over the hand tool?

I think I have two things going here. 1 is how do I unlink a PDF to a URL? 2 what is the W over the hand tool? I want to highlight some text but the hand with the w shows the link of where I found the pdf and does not allow me to make the text changes I'm wanting to.

Second question first: The W over the Hand tool means that your link will open in your browser (W = Web).
First question: The link may have been created in the PDF file. But Acrobat/Reader by default creates links when it recognizes a URL. You can turn this off in Preferences > General. Uncheck "Create Links from URLs".

We have a requirement in the workflow. The notifications from workflow are sent as email with attachments in it to the performers which contains the login links to Instance. We have two Middle tiers in our architecture(Public and Private MTs). The requirement is to change the link in the notification attachments from private Middle Tier to Public MiddleTier.
Please help on how to change.
