URL Linking Items!

Hi all,
Does anyone knows the URL to link items?
ie: I'd like to link an item in a folder to another item in
another folder but all in the same content area!
I've tried http://site:port/pls/portal30/url/folder/area/
but still no good.
Any help?
Thanks, Carolina.

DOH! I just noticed that all of the "PK" attributes from ITEMS/THINGS are on the URL table (ID -> OBJECT_ID, CAID -> OBJECT_SITE_ID, and LANGUAGE -> LANGUAGE).
However, I still don't see how to link ITEMS to DOCUMENT. I can get the DOCUMENT NAME when the user uploads the file, but I'd like to be able to navigate there from ITEMS as well.

  • Dashcode iPhone Webapp - Adding url links to multiple list item

    I was wondering if anyone knew how to add a url link to multiple list items without the use of a button part.
    Say For Instance i Have
    Item 1 > I want to go to www.mysite.com/index.html
    Item 2 > I want to go to www.mysite.com/help/index.html
    Any help would be greatly appreciated

    After hours of reading and experimentation, I have solved my immediate problem thus:
    function jsonLoaded(jsonRequest) {
    if (jsonRequest.status == 200) {
    events = eval( "("jsonRequest.responseText")" );
    document.getElementById('list').object.reloadData();
    } else {
    alert("Error fetching JSON data: HTTP status " + jsonRequest.status);
    var feedURL = "http://www.foo.com/bar.php";
    var onloadHandler = function() { jsonLoaded(jsonRequest); };
    var events = [];
    var jsonRequest = new XMLHttpRequest();
    jsonRequest.onload = onloadHandler;
    jsonRequest.open("GET", feedURL, true);
    jsonRequest.setRequestHeader("Cache-Control", "no-cache");
    jsonRequest.send(null);
    var listController = {
    numberOfRows: function() {
    I had to do two things:
    1. Declare the array 'events' outside the function.
    2. Reload the list data (thanks to http://osdir.com/ml/safari-iphone-web-dev/2009-05/msg00013.html )
    Now I've got to figure out how to pull in different data for different list levels!

  • Column Link URL - passing items as args

    Hi, probably a syntax problem here but can't seem to pass the items properly. I've got a column with a URL link to an external app which I need to pass htmldb item values to. Currently the hardcoded url for the column looks like:
    http://1.1.1.1:8888/app/servlet/MyServlet?action=init&d_id=1&e_id=186 " target="_blank
    the d_id and e_id have values contained in HTMLDB items. I tried the &ITEM. and #ITEM# but the url does not include them at runtime.

    Sorry, probabaly not too clear before. The url itself is not obtained from a query but is hardcoded in the column data link of a column 'Location' in a report. It displays an image for the column value with a url link to run our external mapping app:
    http://1.1.1.1:8888/app/servlet/MyServlet?action=init&d_id=1&e_id=186
    d_id's value is stored in the item P34_D_ID
    e_id's value is stored in the item P34_E_ID
    I'm trying to use a report rows' values for those items and format the url to use those.
    so column link url:
    http://1.1.1.1:8888/app/servlet/MyServlet?action=init&d_id="&P34_D_ID."&e_id="&P34_E_ID.
    results in
    http://1.1.1.1:8888/app/servlet/MyServlet?action=init&d_id=
    http://1.1.1.1:8888/app/servlet/MyServlet?action=init&d_id='&P34_D_ID.'&e_id='&P34_E_ID.'
    results in
    http://1.1.1.1:8888/app/servlet/MyServlet?action=init&d_id=''&e_id=''
    Pretty sure I just don't understand how/when htmldb uses the items values when generating links.

    I'm having difficulty on how to display targeted URL images and URL link from the smartforms, after i sending it out as html mail. The mail i sent just can be preview as a plain text, which can't execute the html code that i put inside the smartforms itself. I follow a few step from this very useful blog.. Hopefully, you guys can give me some solutions or ideas on this.

    1- put your images in a directory under the web app directory. Example: app/images/
    2- in your jsp, use: String file = application.getRealPath("/images/"); to get the images directory. See http://java.sun.com/j2ee/sdk_1.3/techdocs/api/javax/servlet/ServletContext.html#getRealPath(java.lang.String)
    3- it's not the right forum to post this kind of question. Post them in the JSP/Servlet JSTL forum instead

  • URL Link In Gnome Desktop

    Hello,
    If I drag an URL from the Firefox address bar to my personal desktop in Gnome an icon is created and I can latter access that site by clicking on it. But when I do that the browser that opens the page is Epiphany rather than Firefox as I expected to be.
    How can I change this behavior for the link being open with my favorite browser (in System/Preferences/Preferred Applications I have Firefox set as my default browser)?
    Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi,
    I think that you need to do the possible development in the ECC backend system - not in Portal/UWL - since as far as I understood from your message, your workflow is in ECC.
    You could take a look into this recent thread:
    Empty URL Link with SAP_WAPI_ATTACHMENT_ADD
    I don't know if it will work in UWL. You could easily test it by adding and URL attachment to a work item in backend (in business workplace) and then see how it looks in UWL and does it work. If it works, you can find a solution in the above mentioned thread or perhaps you can ask further questions from the author of the thread.

    Please have BPEL loggers both at domain and system level to DEBUG mode. Set all loggers to DEBUG as you are interested to see the entire sequence flow..however, some loggers give you unnecessary info ;/ apart from cube, activation, delivery, dispatch, persistence.
    Added to this, you might want to try SOAPUI, Fiddler, HTTP Analyzer.

    Windows XP Pro, SP3. Firefox 3.6.3. Ever since updating to this version a few weeks ago I can no longer do a right click of the mouse and check the properties of an active url link on webpages. I've always had the option before. I want this feature back!!!!

    In Firefox 3.6 Properties has been removed from the right click context menu.
    You can use ''View Image Info'' or ''View Page Info'' in the right click context menu to see the (image) properties.
    You can use the above mentioned extension (Element Properties 6) to get that context menu item back.

    You should wrap your code in {noformat} {noformat} tags
    Always include the following information when asking a question:
    <ul>
    <li>Full APEX version</li>
    <li>Full DB/version/edition/host OS</li>
    <li>Web server architecture (EPG, OHS or APEX listener/host OS)</li>
    <li>Browser(s) and version(s) used</li>
    <li>Theme</li>
    <li>Template(s)</li>
    <li>Region/item type(s)</li>

  • URL links for Workflow Approval Email per user & others

    Hi all, we have upgraded to SRM7 and understand that we have to switch to using program /SAPSRM/OFFLINEAPPROVALSEND to generate the workflow notification emails. We have maintained the portal information in the SRM configuration to build the link. However, we have 2 issues here
    1. We currently output collective email so emails are sent out at specific timing on a per user rather than per work item basis. The URL link does not seem to work in this case (for shopping cart approval example) and we get an object GUID error. The URL looks something like this
    http://sap-ped.dev.xyz.com/irj/portal/?navigationtarget=obn://BOSystemAlias=SAP_SRM/BOTechnicalName=sc/Operation=detailprof&NavMode=3
    Also, even if I run the program for a PO approval example, the BOTechnicalName is still pointing to sc.
    However, if I do it on a per work item basis, the URL works.
    Does anyone know where the control this setting?
    2. External and internal portal
    We have some users connecting to the portal through more secured channel (external portal). In this case, I couldn't find a way to generate the appropriate URL for the external. In the past in the older SRM version, the program was using the attribute ITS_DEST in PPOPMA_BBP to build the URL link. Now, I do not know how the system knows which portal URL to take if the control is no longer at user level.
    Has anyone ever had this requirement before?
    My worse case scenario to resolve the above issues would be to use the BADI to alter the content of the email notification. The purpose of posting this message here is to ensure that I am not missing out any standard SAP functionality which could meet our requirements.
    Cheers!
    SF

  • Issue using the mp:Link item in a plug-in mpcui definition

    Hello,
    I'm developing an OEM plug-in and wanted to use the Link item - <mp:Link label="Click Me" click="{invokeActivity('myPage')}"/> - in my mpcui-defined UI.
    This actually works but it's conflicting with other content on the page. For example, if I define an InfoItem followed by the Link item, the link overlays the label of the InfoItem.
    Here's my code
    <mp:InfoItem label="My Label" value="Some text"/>
    <mp:Link label="Click Me" click="{invokeActivity('myPage')}"/>
    This results in a single line on the page with link label (Click Me) overlayed on top of the InfoItem label (My Label), with the InfoItem text (Some text) to the right.
    [overlayed My Label and Click Me]    Some text
    The mouse pointer turns into a finger pointer and I can click the garbled/overlayed text and it navigates to my page so it works; it's just messed up layout-wise. I don't have any positioning information in either element but normally, if I just use multiple InfoItem elements, they will be arranged vertically down the page. I was expecting the Link element to work the same way but it doesn't seem to for me.
    Has anyone seen this? know how to fix it?
    Thanks,
    Tom

    InfoItem tags can only be used as a child to the InfoDisplay tag.  And InfoDisplay only accepts InfoItem tags as children.  If you are trying to get a link into an InfoDisplay list, this can be done on the InfoItem tag:
                            <mp:InfoItem id="relatedHost" label="{getString('HOSTED_BY')}" value="{model.relatedHost}"
                                imageRenderer="{appModel.renderer('TARGET_TYPE')}"
                                imageDataSource="{model.relatedHostType}"
                                destination="{model.relatedHostLink}"  />
    destination can be an URL string or an Activity (which you have defined in your integration class).

  • URL link Attachment Limitation in Foreground

    Hi Experts,
    When i am attaching a URL link through Services of Object for a invoice document.
    The Complete URL link is not copied to the Address field. Only it is accepting 1000 character.
    My question is how to increase the URL length. Since my requirement is the URL link are having more that 1000 characters.
    Example :
    Tcode : MIR4 --- Invoice Document , year
    when i goto the services of Object ---> Create the Attachment
    It popup a dialog box which contain the Title and Address.
    In the Address we will copy the URL Link ,
    URL :  documentum\Docbases\dmbsip_prd_docbase\Hydrocarbon Supply Chain
              Management\Integration\Application Documentation\WORKFLOW\SCC-
              HSM-07-00011 (T & I Automation Workflow)\Misc. DPSR Documents
    when i try to copy this URL link in the Address Field , it is not taking the Full URL link.

    Hi,
    I think that you need to do the possible development in the ECC backend system - not in Portal/UWL - since as far as I understood from your message, your workflow is in ECC.

  • Removing URL links when printing ical

    How do I remove the url links that were created for the to dos that originated in mail?
    What I don't understand is why do the url links only appear in the print view.
    I print my to do list and it's full of useless url lines.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks.

    Here is something I just discovered today:
    When you create a new ToDo item, manually type "none" into the URL field. That seems to preempt the Mail URL.
    Then, when you print, the item will print as "URL: none" which is better than seeing that useless clutter of an URL...but still mystifying as to why Apple would include such an inelegant design. Maybe people aren't expected to actually print out their calendars...?
    Of course, this only works if you have no use for the Mail-iCal link for ToDos.
    Good luck,
    -Gregory

  • How do I insert a URL link into a text document

    How do I insert a URL link into a Word document

    Don't have Word available to test, but it seems to depend on the program.
    In Pages and TextEdit, if you drag the favicon from the addrss box in your browser into the document, it will be pasted in already formatted as a clickable link expressed in plain text. The favicon (I think that's the name for that element) is this item -
    However, in AppleWorks 6.2.9, all that did was drop the raw URL into the document; and it is non-clickable, just text. In AW 6 you need to type the plain-text name for the link (how you want the underlined bit to appear), select that, then go to the Format menu and select Create Link, from it choosing Internet. In the new screen, the linkname will already be entered in the upper box; paste the URL into the lower box, and it's done.
