URL links in outgoing email sre not clickable

Hello,
Before switching to the Classic, with my Torch 9810 I could send myself emails that included links, and when looking at the emails on a computer, the links were clickable.
Now with my Classic, the URL links appear as text.
Any of you know how to fix this?
My OS is 10.3.1.1779
Thank you in advance.

One possible reason for differences between messages viewed in Firefox would be the format the sender used. For example, HTML and plain text messages may behave differently. In HTML, the link actually is in the message sent by the sender. In plain text, there are no links, but the desktop version of Outlook finds them and makes them clickable. Perhaps the same is true of the "Premium" version of OWA served to IE. Other browsers have long been second class citizens...
Maybe there is an add-on that fills in the missing functionality?

Try closing the Mail app completely and see if it works properly when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Your link to Verizon email is NOT encrypted

Did you know that your computer link to Verizon email is NOT encrypted?  However you link to verizon.net email, whether by Outlook or Outlook Express or by surfing to verizon.net or verizon.com, the connection from your PC to the Verizon server is NOT encrypted.  It is NOT https (with the s on the end).
Maybe, the portion of the page where you log in with user name and password is maybe encrypted, but then when you are looking at your email, the link between your PC or device and Verizon is NOT encrypted.
    Do you like that?
I don't, but my earlier complaints to Verizon on the DSL Reports web page went ignored.  See a very illuminating set of posts at
     Is Verizon email link UNencrypted?
So, if you happen to know anyone in Verizon's legal department, ask him or her to respond here.

    Dear glnz:
Thank you for your enthusiastic participation on the Verizon Community!
I have addressed this question in the "Meet the Expert" session in the Room to Learn portion of the Verizon Community page. Please feel free to join us there.
    Answer:
The login portion of verizon webmail is encrypted. We support encrypted password on POP and SMTP. We will offer POP SSL and SMTP SSL later this year (this would encrypt the entire transaction start to finish).

  • How to change URL/link in cFolders email notification

    Hi Folks,
We are on cFolders 4.5 accessed via Enterprise Portal. When a notification is generated (either manually or via a status transition), the email contains a URL link related to the cfolder object the notification pertains to. This URL points to the cFolders BSP application. How do we point this to the portal? We want all user to access cFolders via the portal and not BSP. Any way to achieve this?
    Thanks,

    Hello Lashan,
could you please tell me the note number?
Here we also would like to implement the same.

  • Email addresses in thunderbird emails are not clickable.

In Thunderbird V31.6, when viewing a received email which contains an email address (in the body of the message) that email address is not shown as a mailto: link, and is not clickable, so cannot be used to create a new mail message. This happens when View/Message Body As/Original HTML or View/Message Body As/Simple HTML. Mailto: links are displayed, and work, correctly when View/Message Body As/Plain Text -- but using this setting, other HTML links no longer display the target pages! (In this and other received emails.) Other email clients are able to display/action HTML links correctly and concurrently.
Can this be fixed, please? (I need to use View/Message Body As/Original HTML as my default setting, and not have to change it just to use an embedded mailto: link.

    Thanks for your reply, Gnospen.
I have now realised that the received emails (with the unclickable email addresses) were from the same sender. They were created and sent from my mobile smart phone using an Android App called Type Mail (formerly know as Blue Mail) which I have recently begun using.
In Thunderbird, when I examined the message source, of emails sent from Type Mail, I saw the following (as an example -- substituting [square brackets] for <angle brackets> so that text does not get interpreted as HTML in this post)...
    Content-Type: text/html;
    charset=utf-8
    Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit
    [p dir="ltr"]Test new version[/p]
    [p dir="ltr"][font color ="#006970"]Sent from a Mobile Device[/font][br]
    [font color ="#006970"]Preferred Email: [/font][font color ="#006970"][b][email protected][/b][/font][font color ="#006970"][/font][/p]
...As you can see, there are no [HTML][HEAD], etc, [/HEAD][/HTML] tags to enclose the message text -- resulting in the message not being recognisable as an HTML message .
I will feed this back to Type Mail to see if they can fix it. If I read emails created/sent from Type Mail within Type Mail, they look as they should (with clickable email addresses), but this seems to be because Type Mail appears to apply its own formatting -- a bit like Thunderbird's View/Message Body As/Plain Text approach.
Thanks again for your reply and suggestion.

  • Simple question: calling URL link with WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT is not working

    Hi folks,
this should be an easy question, but I have no idea why it's not working :-(.
In one of my form, I would like to place an URL link behing button.
For this purpose I'm using below code:
WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT('http://www.google.com','_blank');But when above code is executed, nothing happens :-(.
Could it be because I'm using it within modal type of window?
    Thanks,

have you checked with using self instead of blank to see if it will replace your current page with the one you are tyring to call?
Have you got any other firefox plugins running such as Ad block? can you try disabaling all addons and even the internal pop-up blocker jus to see if this will work?
if self works but blank does not how about having the main app called from a multi frame page. one frame with the app in and the other frame with some javascript that can be called to open a new window? dont know if that will work and its late so probably not thought it thorugh fully :)

  • TS3899 All of a sudden, I can't open links in my emails.  Not just yahoo, but others as well.

For the last 2 or 3 weeks, I haven't been able to open links in my emails.  This includes personal & business accounts.  One is Yahoo & the other is Outlook Exchange.  I've never had any problem before.  It's only on the IPad.  I have 2 other tablets not IPads, a Samsung smartphone, & I have no problem on them.  I can't think of anything I've changed that would cause the problem.  Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem is and how I can fix it?

    Hey irishman41!
You may want to try forcing Mail to quit, if you haven’t yet:
iOS: Force an app to close

You may also need to try to reset your iOS device using the steps in this article:
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset

All versions tested. All versions tested. Supported only through Lightroom 4.1.
    however, it also says
Windows XP, Vista, 7; Mac OS X 10.5 or 10.6
which is plain wrong, because Canon never supported any drivers for Windows Vista or Win 7, not to speak of XP 64bit. (You cannot connect the camera via firewire, without the device drivers!)

  • The links in aol email do not work - how do I enable them?

I am using the aol toolbar for firefox and none of the links in the emails work.

Just above the textarea that you use to enter the message text there is usually a button bar with buttons to add text formatting like Bold and Italic.<br />
That toolbar may also have a button to turn a text link into a clickable hyperlink (look for a chain like button).<br />
You can select the text and click that button to turn the link into a clickable hyperlink.<br />
If you can't find the button then hover them all to check the tooltip of each.

  • Outgoing emails are not being sent from my email address all of a sudden. It started happening when I changed my gmail password

After I changed my gmail password my outgoing emails are no longer being sent from my gmail account, but are being sent from my spouse's account so that replies go into her inbox, not mine.

    rigoran1231,
You may have a corrupt preference, in order to correct this open Mail - Preferences - Accounts and re-input all the preferences for the account. While they may look ok one or more may be corrupt.

  • "Insert" functions, attachments, photos , etc. on outgoing emails do not activate

I am unable to attach documents, photos, etc. to outgoing emails. When I click on the "insert" icons nothing happens.

    Thanks for the clarification.
You used the term right click on it to download instead of right click on it to save the attached file outside of the message which are very different things.
RTF with Tiger Mail is HTML or I should say can be HTML but certain things must occur in order for HTML to be implemented with a sent message.
Regardless the message font and size chosen at Mail > Preferences > Fonts & Colors, you must select a font and size via the font panel when composing a message or use bold, italics, underline for selected text or changing text color, etc. If you are using a signature that was composed with RTF or HML with a different font, size and/or color than is used in the message body or contains an image or logo, etc. Forwarding a message that was composed in HTML and the same when replying to a received message that was composed in HTML if you have "Use the same message format as the original message" selected for composing preferences at Mail > Preferences > Composing.
Any or all or a combination of any of these will send a message as HTML.
Depending on the Outlook and Windows version used by a recipient, Outlook has had some problems with Mail's RTF. There is no email client that is completely bug free and Outlook has plenty of bugs for such an old/mature email client and MS also makes the arrogant assumption that the majority of people that exchange email are using Outlook or OE and should be if not.
So long story short, using Plain Text for message composition can and does make a difference.
