when I rum my wen temoplate it actually rumming on the different URL there is mistake in setting the port no. for URl instead of using 8000 its setted as 8001 so in which T-code Can I change this and give the correct URL

Hi,
You will have to contact your basis team for changing it.
it can be done using transacation RZ10 - instance profile - extended maintenance.
after changing the application server should be restarted for it to take effect.

so I tell the customer to do the following action plan.
1. in XML Publisher Administrator resp > Administration expand the HTML Output section.
2a. enter a value for 'Base image URI'
2b. enter a value for 'Image file directory'
Customer set the value as following and retest this issue,but he found the issue is not solved.
Base image URI: /u01/r12/ebssnd/apps/apps_st/comn/java/classes/oracle/apps/media/XXSLI_SONY_LIFE_LOGO.gif
Image file directory: /u01/r12/ebssnd/apps/apps_st/comn/java/classes/oracle/apps/media
I verified 'Base image URI' and 'Image file directory' settings:
1) Change output type to HTML.
2) Click the Preview.
but the image is correctly displayed on HTML, so I think the issue is caused by user's uncorrectly setting of the base image URL and/or image file directory
but could anyone give me some advice on which value should be set for Base image URL and Image file directory

First thing to do is to edit the post and use some tags to format the code as it is unreadable and too much!

Next we need to know the jdev version you are using!
As the code is generated I would first try to generate it again after the db change.

The URL that was set for my homepage redirects to a network authorization page even though I cannot connect to that network.

I am no longer within range of a network that I was ''attempting'' to connect to as ''guest'' and now the guest registration page for the network overrides the url that was set for my home page in Firefox. (I never actually established a connection to the internet on that network because the guest username and password repeatedly failed.) The redirect executes whenever I type the URL, www.yahoo.com, into the address bar or when I follow a link from a search engine to that URL, or when I click the home button. How can I stop the
redirect? I deleted all network locations that contained that network and cookies that contained the network name but that did not stop the page redirection. I do not believe this to be a virus or malicious network because it was at an research institute. I looked in prefs.js for any keywords from that network but I did not find anything obvious.

The settings to Configure the Save function.
Right click the Button Group Item ® Properties ® * Button ®
Type Caption Save ® Command ® Select All Commands Tab ®
De-select Execute Planning Function and then select checkbox Save
Changed Data ® Double click on Save Changed Data ® OK ® OK ® Save your template.

Is there a way to prevent Robohelp WebHelp from appending characters to the end of the URL address for a TOC Entry?

I am running RoboHelp 10 on Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 64 bit OS.
WebHelp is appending characters to the end of the TOC entry's URL address. The characters "bc-n" where n is a number are being generated for all of the TOC Page Entries when I generate WebHelp output. We are exporting the HTML files for import into an application. The TOC Page Properties Link to: property does not contain the characters in RoboHelp.
We have standardized names defined for our application and the appended characters are not going to work in the application.

When I use the generated html output in IE10 Version 10.0.9200.16635 Update Versions: 10.0.7 (KB2846071) the characters show up in the URL when I hover the mouse over the TOC entry as shown in the screenshot below.

The two screenshots show that the Link to property does not have the characters "bc-7" but the URL address does.
Is there a setting or way to configure RoboHelp to prevent Robohelp WebHelp from generating and appending characters to the end of the URL address for TOC Entries?

I have never known Rh add any characters so I think something else is at play here. Please open one of the sample projects and see what happens there. Click Open on the RoboHelp Starter page and then click Samples in the ribbon on the left.

URL parameters for a Database Source in SES

Can anyone provide us a valid url format for creating a Database Source in SES? I have followed the SES Admin documentation, and have tried a variety of options, but am not getting the results I desire.
I have set up a view to my database table using the following syntax:

I also set up the Database Source in SES with the following parameters:
Database Connection String: jdbc:oracle:thin:@IP Address: 1521: MAINDB
URL Prefix: http://<SES computername.domain>: port/
(I can't include the IP address, tablename, or machine names in this forum because they are classified).
So, it crawls fine and gives me the expected number of documents found. And, when I search the source, I get a list of results. But, when I click on the link to the document, I get a 404 Page not found error. The url for the found doc shows as: <SES computername.domain:port/docserver?docid=1866
If I click on the "cached" link, I can see the document just fine and the url displayed is:
http://computername.domain:port/search/query/cache.jsp?id=438567&q=%&fid=
So, obviously, I still don't have the url for the docsever right.
Anyone have any ideas, please?

The display URL for a Database Source should point to a separate server that provides web access to the document. It is not meant to point back to the SES instance. As the Admin Guide states:
"This connector requires that there is URL-based access to the records in the result set of the view or query."
In other words, the display URL should be something you can copy/paste into your browser location bar to view the document, with the other server rendering the document information to a user completely independently from SES.

I have a single file source(Filesource1) in the admin set up that will crawl two different directory structures with two different display URL.
I had initially crawled with "No display URL" option, then used the Display URL screen to enter both the mappings. It worked(it updated the URL column in wk$URL table to start with 'http://'), however, new crawls dont seem to recogonize the Display URL mappings.Is this because there is more than one mapping?
Is the only solution to create two different filesources with a display URL mapping for each?

Different url-patterns for same servlet running in 2 different environments

I have a question about url mappings in my web.xml file and I hope somebody can help. The situation is that I�m putting together a web app using a combination of JSPs and servlets. I can�t develop on the machine that it will be hosted on, so I�m working and testing on my own machine and will transfer to the host machine when finished. However, the host machine is set up to map serlvets to http://�/servlet/MyServlet but the copy of tomcat I have installed locally maps to http://�/MySerlvet. My question is, when I get ready to transfer my application do I have to go through all my code and find serlvet references and insert the �servlet/� path info required by the hosting service, or can I just change the url patterns for the servlet mappings of the web.xml file on the host machine ? In other words:
Local install of Tomcat where servlets are accessed at http://�/MyServlet
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name> MyServlet </servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/MyServlet </url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
Host machine install of Tomcat where servlets are accessed at http://�/servlet/MyServlet
<servlet-mapping>

I guess my thinking is that it would be better/easier to have a remote and local version of the web.xml file that reflects the environment each one resides in and have only one codebase rather than 2 codebases and 1 web.xml file. Am I thinking about this in the right way, or have I misunderstood something?

What you�re suggesting is logical, but won�t that

local Tomcat install that expects servlets to be
accessed at http://.../ServletName ?
in web.xml, you decide of your mapping, so you could use the /servlet/ServletName pattern for your application that needs to be remote, and /ServletName for the rest of your stuff. You can even define more than one mapping for a servlet...
In fact, you should probably put your whole application that is going to be on a remote server in it's own context, and to be ahead of dufymo :-) , learn to put it a war file for deployment.

Web service URL configuration for Xcelsius in BO XI3.1

Currently we can evaluate the BOE R2 and BOE XI3.1, and we are facing such a problem:
In R2, we configure the Web service URL for Tomcat in "...\Tomcat\webapps\businessobjects\enterprise115\desktoplaunch\WEB-INF\web.xml
", there is a parameter called "crystalxcelsius.webconnectorurl", we configure it like this:

We cannot find the same web.xml because the folder structure has changed.
After we deployed the Xcelsius dashboards from BOE R2 to BOE XI3.1, it failed and the error message shows:"Unable to load URL...".

The Xcelsius team is investigating this issue. We'll update you when possible. Meanwhile here is a suggestion from another user.
"The web service url setting was removed from XI R3 due to the changes in InfoView/CMC client action framework in XI R3. In XI R3, there are multiple web.xml files instead of just one web.xml. The parameters defined in Xcelsius' web.xml cannot be accessed by Crystal Report or WebI...
Anyway, I have a workaround might work (I never tried it myself). In Xcelsius design time, add a flashvars range name "CEWebServiceURL" and bind the value of this range to a cell that has the url of the web service you want to use at run-time. The SWF should use this url to refresh LiveOffice at run-time."

If not try this: Add the url parameter sap-ie=EmulateIE9 in the url, then it should work.

Can I set a URL scheme for an Android viewer app?
Unfortunately, there was at that time (August) no plans from Adobe about adding this features.
Is there any change about that ? Could it be a gift for Christmas?

So this is doable assuming you have access to the native Android code in the app you are linking from. You can use the package name for your DPS Android application to launch it. You won't be able to use deep linking or anything like that, but you will be able to launch to the Library.
See the following github project as a reference for a Cordova / Phonegap plugin that does this for you (if you are not using Cordova / Phonegap, then I linked to the source as well). The Cordova Launcher plugin will let you determine if the device is able to launch an app via package. You can then decide whether you want to launch the app w/ the package or you want to push the user to the app store to download the application. Both of these options can be handled w/ the Launcher plugin.
If you want to push the user to the app store then use something like : market://details?id=[package name]
