US Airport Express, in Europe. Can't choose European countries in setup

I purchased an Airport Express in US. I currently live in Norway, and trying to setup my Airport Express.
But under Wireless and Settings and Country. There are no European countries. Only Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, USA and Venezuela. My old airport had Norway and other European countries in this option.
How can I get the European countries for this option?

Sorry but you would need to use a channel between 1 and 11.
Or replace that AirPort Express (AX) with one from the UK.

  • I have two Airport Express units. Can I use one to extend the range of the other?

The similar questions that I have found on this site refer to extending an Airport Extreme with an Airport Express. But can you also extend an Airport Express with another Airport Express?

But can you also extend an Airport Express with another Airport Express?
Any Apple "n" router....AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme, or Time Capsule....can be used to extend the signal of another.
Now, we just need to figure out if you have two "n" Expresses that will work together.  Are these brand new units?
If not, check the model number on the side of the device. You need to see A1264 there. If you see A1084 or A1088, these models will not qualify as "n" Expresses.

How do I set up a static IP on Airport Express so I can activate and use the Connect My Mac app from outside my home network?

You will need to enable file sharing in System Preferences
as well as setting up sharing and permissions for the
directories that you want shared.  You may also want to
setup a non-administrative user or allow limited guest
access.  The user would require entering a user name and
password to make the connection, but would allow remotes
to change files, if set up tat way.
As for serving iTunes media, better to post in the iTunes forum.

why cant i print from my ipad using airport express but i can print from my mac using the express

Because your printer has to be Airprint compatible and connected to WiFi. There are applications, such as Printopia, that will allow you to print through your computer.

No, and that shouldn't be done with an AirPort Extreme or Time Capsule.

  • I got a new imac and the airport utility does not work with my older airport express. What can I do???

How can I get my new iMac to see my old Airport Express so I can play my music to a remote speaker?

Move the Mountain Lion version of Airport Utility to the Trash. Airport Utility is located in the Utilities folder.
Kappy, you cannot move AirPort Utility in Mountain Lion to the trash in a normal way. Apple will not let you do this.....It is part of the Mountain Lion operating system....and cannot be modified or trashed.

  • I have the airport express as router can I buy the new airport express and use my old airport to extend my net?

I have the airport express as router can I buy the new airport express and extend my net?

Things can get confusing pretty quickly since there are 3 different versions of the AirPort Express.
If by "old", you mean you have Model No A1084 or A1088 AirPort Express (look at the label on the side of the device for the Model No), it cannot be used with the "Extend a wireless network" feature of other newer Apple routers.
If your AirPort Extreme is "square" shaped with rounded corners, then the "old" AirPort Express will not work with your AirPort Extreme using the "Extend a wireless network" settings.
You could use a "previous version" AirPort Express, Model No A1264 to "Extend", or the "new" AirPort Express, Model No A1392, for that purpose.
If your AirPort Extreme is a simultaneous dual band product, then the "new" Express would be able to "extend" both bands.  The "previous" AirPort Express (Model A1264) would be able to extend only one band, since it is not a dual band device.

Is there a way to configure win 8 Laptop to airport express?  I can see the connection to the wireless network, but troubleshooter suggests there's there is no gateway and of course no internet. The connection
shows limited.  Any help you could provide would be most appreciated.  Further, should I simply buy another router for the windows machine?  If I did that, would it interfere with the airport?

The internal HDDs must be formatted in either EXT3 or EXT4 file system because NSS uses Linux OS.  This is mainly because the RAM designed to fit with the customized Linux OS's size.
You can connect to an external HDD via a  USB or eSATA port. The external HDD's file system can be NTFS, FAT32, AFT or EXT3/4 to be recognized for read/write. You can connect a 2TB USB/eSATA drive connec to the NSS via USB port to format your HDD for NTFS, AFT, FAT32, or EXT3/4 partition.
You can join the NSS to a Windows domainr so all domain users to access NSS. You cannot replace the NSS for the Windows 2003 SP2 server. They are two different products and do different jobs. Windows server is features sets server while the NSS is the files/data server.
    Hope that helps!!

  • Using US 110V AirPort Express in Europe with 220V?

    Hello all,
I want to use my 110 V Air Port Express (US Version) in Europe at 220V.
I know, that the sticker on the Express module says "110V".
I also found the tech specs, which state usage from 110V to 240V (http://www.apple.com/airportexpress/specs.html)
And, I know that my power supply for my MacMini says 110V on the sticker as well, the tech specs state 110 to 240 V and it indeed works fine with 240V.
I ASSUME that the airport express will be just fine - but it would be nice if someone could confirm. No need to fry more devices than nescessary....
    Any help/input is greatly appreciated...

the express will handle the power issue quite well. however, i'm not sure if you don't run into problems with the channels it is broadcasting on. from the AX tech specs:
    Channels
+Channels 1-11, 36-48, and 149-165 approved for use in the United States and Canada+
    +Channels 1-13 and 36-64 approved for use in Japan+
    +Channels 1-13 and 36-140 approved for use in Europe+

  • I changed my password on Airport Express and now can't connect in iTunes. It does not ask for password ,I just see trying to connect and it fails. How do I enter new password in iTunes when it just keeps trying to connect ?

When I select the Airport Express as Remote Speaker in Itunes I just see trying to connect and it can't connect.
I changed my password on the Airport and I don't see where I can put in the new password in Itunes.
This problem is on my Imac. On my Mac Pro a window came up asking for password to connect because it was the first time.
I can connect on the Mac Pro but not my Imac.

Update on my problem connecting in Itunes with my Airport Express. Not sure if anything I tried made a difference
but I finally got the Pop up window saying this device requires a Password. I entered the password and I can once again use the Airport Express as a remote speaker.

  • Airport Express and iPhones can't see network-macs and ipad can?

I have an Airport Extreme base station connected to a comcast modem, with 2 express units for airtunes.
After some fiddling around due to the comcast outage, now I can't see either of the Airport Express units in the Airport Utility, AND neither my or my wife's iPhone can see the network. The iPad, iMac, Macbook and a PC can all connect no problem. My phone connects to wifi at work no problem.
    Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!

Open AirPort Utility - Click Manual Setup
Click the Wireless tab below the row of icons
Your settings should look like this:
Wireless Mode = Create a wireless network
wireless Network Name = Name of your wireless network
Check mark not needed next to Allow this Network to be extended
    Radio Mode = Automatic
    Radio Channel = Automatic
    Wireless Security = WPA2 Personal
Wireless Password = Backspace and retype your password here
Confirm Password = Backspace and retype your password
    Click the Internet icon
    Connect Using = Ethernet
If you have a simple modem (only one ethernet port), the setting for Connection Sharing should be set to Share a public IP address
If you have a gateway (combination modem and router with 3-4 ethernet ports), the setting for Connection Sharing should be set to Off (Bridge Mode).
    Update to save changes
    Restart all other devices
    Any luck?

  • I got an IP camera for surveilance but I have an old version airport express. How can I plug the ethernet cord for the camera if there is only one port that's connected to the modem (WAN)?

    Modem has one ethernet port
airport express the old one that looks like a charger has one ethernet port only, one usb, and one jack (speakers).
IP camera needs of ethernet port to set up
    How can I do this?

You will need to replace the AirPort Express with another wireless router that has a built-in Ethernet switch ... like the AirPort Extreme.

  • 2 Airport Expresses, only one can connect

Have 2 airport expresses....if I turn off password protection on the router, I can connect them both with zero issues through the airport utility.  As soon as I change back to password protection, I can only get one to be "seen" by the airport utility after factory resetting.  Any suggestions?  The router is a 2wire from Uverse.

Mmmm, when you go to set up the second one, you could connect it by ethernet to your computer to make sure it is seen.

  • I have lost the amber/green light indicator on AirPort Express.  How canI get it back?

How can i get the amber/green light indicator on the AirPort Express.  It has stopped working.

If I do a factory reset, will I have to reset the network configuration?
Yes, but based on what you are telling us, I doubt that the device will restart after you try this. You have tested with other AC wall jacks, correct?
I just purchased the unit in April this year, it would be very soon to have to replace it, especially since I don't think I kept the receipt...
Most stores keep a record of purchases. Otherwise, Apple support can look at the serial number and know approximately when the device was sold. You should have no problem getting a replacement, I would imagine.

  • Airport Express reset functions can't be accessed. Grayed out. Help?

Buddy of mine can't remember his password in order to ad a wireless device..... His Airport Utility seems totally locked down.

Forgot password for Airport Express can you help?
