US living in Germany

I am an American living in Germany. When I log onto the i. unes page everything comes up in German. Where (and how) do I change this to have the US Itunes page come up automatically?

Can I access English movies and TV, living in Germany using the Apple TV or maybe something else?
I live since short in Germany and would like to have access to English TV and English movies using my internet connection. Looking at for example the Apple Store your store connection is based on your IP {address and this lands me in the German store where movies are not available in original language (or so it seems, if you do not know this the Germans change the soundtracks of all foreign movies to German by dubbing).
Does anybody know how I would be able to watch either UK or USA TV over the internet (preferable on my TV)?
I say thank you and yes in case you did not guess, I am new to the topic of TV over internet.

I looked in to that and they are non of the channels I want to see. Most of it is stuff you catch free to air.
additionally, many movies, tv shows and sport broadcasts on [_*Sky Deutschland*_|http://www.sky.de/web/cms/de/abonnieren-senderinfos.jsp] come in [Zweikanalton|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zweikanalton].
I talked to the Sky folk in Germany a while ago, and sorry to say they are as knowledgeable as the Sky UK people. In other words nobody could guarantee me anything or commit to it beingavailable in English. The most committed answer I got was that it depends on many things and one would have to look at each broadcast to see if it is also available in English.
Hence my search continues.

Technically correct (the best kind of correct)
Now if the Op has and retains a UK account with billing address and UK paymant card - He/She can continue to use the UK store in Germany - Apple does NOT use IP address blocking just a valid paymant card attached to a postcode !
Basically the first four of your paymant card are country codes.
What the op needs to do if he/she now has a Germany address and payment method (could just be German € value gift cards) is to open a separate German iTunes Account !
On a PC/Mac its very easy to change stores, however iOS has it a bit more difficult.
In fact i would recommend the Op sets up a new German account and credentials on a PC/Mac first.
And doing so just means opening the store in iTunes scrolling to the bottom of the screen and clicking on the littler circular flag in the bottom right.
After that the browser window is populated with loads of similar disc flags. Clicking any take you to that regional store where provided you have a valid address (Postcode/Zipcode actually) and payment method local credit/debit some prepayment VISA cards or just a gift card you can create a local account.
Oh and because Apple do NOT use IP addressing you don't actually have to be present in the country of that store. Its against to terms of the EULA but it works !
Back to the iOS device
Tap Settings/iTunes & App Store /Apple ID (that will probably be showing the UK account set up).
In the window that opens tap log out
Now change the ID to the new German name and password and in the next window make sure the flag selected is that of Germany (when in Germany)
When buying from the UK store follow that path again log out of the German account and re-log in using the UK ID
As it happens I have a UK Portuguese and US account all active because I have residences in all three - and can visit any of the stores from anywhere.

Will by an eBook-Reader here in Germany. Need "Adobe Digital Editions" to verify eBook file when downloadet on my PC (windows 7). Have already an Adobe ID - my Danish mail-addres and has choosen

Living in Germany, how can i watch apple tv movies in english?

I live in Germany, bought an Apple TV, but would like to watch movies in original version. In Germany all movies are synchronized to German, rather than watchin original with subtitles. When I buy DVD's it is not an issue, because you can select language, but it doesn't seem possible with Apple TV. Often time the text talking about the film mentions it is in English/German, but no clue how to activate.

I live in Germany but would like to be able to access movies in their original format. While some content is avaliable in German as well as the original language, I'm finding that a lot of movies are inaccessible in the language they were filmed in

Living in Germany but want to rent kids films from iTunes in the original version (English) and am finding that everything is in German!!

Can I change the language back to the original version if I download a film in Germany (e.g. Batman) - on the info page it says the only language provided is German, whereas for adults the films seem to be provided in both the original version, and the horrid dubbed version.

I am afraid that this is a local policy of Germany as a state, and adopted by companies, which activate there. This method has been used in many European countries, but not in all countries. I am still happy that almost all the films are subtitled in Romania as this allows to hear the original language, the original voice and is very useful for learning foreign languages. Dubbing films is, in my mind, against the European spirit of mutlicultural continent, and states which still support this should abandon this method. I think this is an issue of a cultural phenomenon, not an Apple forum issue.

Sounds like the iPhone is not unlocked. What store exactly did the gifter
purchase the iPhone in? Does it say unlocked on the receipt?

You will need a converter to change the power from DC to AC. Check with electronics shops for your best choice.

It has been a long time since we lived in Germany, but I don't believe there is any way to avoid the adaptor. You have to change the power from the DC used in Germany to the AC your computer requires. It's a pain, but better than nothing.
