I have purchased a monthly subscription to call US landlines but when I type the US numbers that I want to call, the "call button" is not enabled. I have checked the format and it is correct; (including international dialing code).
I am currently in New Zealand and want to call US regularly. I paid for my subscription using a US debit card and gave my US address. It is still active. Is my location really affects my subscription? I bought it before I moved to New Zealand. Please help me.

I'm confused as well because the subscription plan descriptions are not clear. I was under the impression that buying a subscription (such as per month unlimited United States, for $2.99) meant that one did not pay per minute for calls. What is one getting for the subscription fee if one has to pay for calls separately?

I look at the "Premium" service but it does not show calling back to Australia to a mobile!
What I want to do is call landlines and mobiles in Australia from overseas and for Australian contacts to call me on a Skype number.
I already use Skype credit and expect that in addition to the bulk of the calls back to Australia I will need to call other countries (bookings etc)What do I do?
If Skype number with a premium subscription does not allow calls to mobiles then would I need a Skype number (subscription) AND Skype credit?

Cant call landlines and mobiles.

hello, every time I try and call a landline/mobile in my country/locally, it does not connect and comes up with "account blocked". does that mean my account is blocked? or the phone i am trying to connect to is blocked? I am able to make video skype calls to other peoples computers but unable to contact phones. please help me i am highly frustrated!

I have just signed up for a few month on world unlimited landline and mobile. Now i have signed up, it states i can only call landlines. Which is it, not an impressive start for someone wh wants to pay for a service.

Cabbit use skype credit to dial landline and mobile

I have been using Skype for over 10 years, and work internationally, so it really comes in handy for me , escept when I have poor WIFI,,,, I use it on desktop and my Iphone,,,, This week my account was suspended for suspicious activity and I was forced to submit information to reactivate and change my password,,, now that I went through all that, I still cannot dial landline and mobile phones although I have 35$ credit showing on my account,,,I have not been told why the account was suspended in the frst place,,, and now I am travelling and cannot even use it ,,,, I am very dissappointed at the process and difficulty to contact anyone who can reactivate my service... Any other service that suspects suspicious activity would simply inform me by my known email,, and resent verification link to the email to initiate a reset,,, but instead,, microsoft goes through an extended automated process, while the customer is forced to sit and wait,, then doesnt even know in the end why the problem started in the first place,,, I am slowly migrating away from microsoft,, and this is just another reason why,,,,

You should be able to change payment method to Skype Credit.
Try this first:
1) Go https://secure.skype.com/account/call-phones/packages
2) Open your subscription Settings
3) Click on Change payment method
4) Add another payment method -> Skype Credit
Once you have done this it should look something like this:

You have Morocco 60 min to landlines which only covers calls to landlines and this is why your calls are not going through to mobiles.

Now, if you need to switch it then please request a refund from Skype Customer Service and purchase a new one that includes calls to mobile phones.

Subscription for calling landlines and voicemail options?

I was wondering if i got a skype number if people would be able to call me and leave me messages in the same fashion as a typical landline and answering machine, and if they can is there a limit for the ammount of voice messages i can receive? Also if they can leave messages when i am not logged into skype? I need to know because I am going to be transcribing reports for a relative and he would need to leave me multiplie messages a day and he would need to be able to leave me a voice message at any time. If you purchase Landlines and Mobiles subscription then both landlines and mobiles are charged the same way.
I would recommend purchasing both subscription because then when you call landlines number Skype will automatically use Landlines subscription and when calling mobiles then Skype will use Landlines and Mobiles subscription.
Keep in mind that if subscription for landlines runs out then still landlines and mobiles subscription is used. Choose the amount of minutes based on which numbers you call the most.

Netgear calls to landlines and mobiles

I am new to this forum and found it difficult to search. I have been a Skype user for many years and now it will not work for me. Two problems so far:
1. I cannot access or view my account although it is shown as in credit. The Skype application just shuts down.
2. I can no longer make successful calls using my Netgear handset. The recipient phone dials but when it answers there is no connection.
3. I am not set up to make calls on my computer so cannot test this.
What am I doing wrong? I have a suspicion that microsoft have ruined a perfectly good system am my immediate reaction is to give up on skype!
Help anyone? Call me perhaps by skype "vicyouel"

The Online Number only allows you to receive calls from telephones at your Skype account. You would still need to purchase Skype Credit or a monthly subscription for calling telephones in the US or anywhere else.
