Usa today videos all play simultaneously
This is very peculiar. If I'm on the USA Today site, and read an article, then go back to the home page, all of a sudden any and every video clip within USA Today starts to run. It is impossible to stop them unless I close that tab
Anyone else have this issue?

* Type about:config in the address bar and hit enter.
* Agree that you'll be careful
* Search for media.autoplay.enabled
* Double click to change the value to false

Video clips playing simultaneously
Hey all,
New to the Final Cut stuff, so I was wondering how I could play one video clip over another.
I want one clip to be just as it was when I filmed it, and the one I play over it to be opaque, so I can see the other clip beneath it. Basically, it is a scene that I filmed twice, where I want one character to be ghostly, and the other to maintain his earthly appearance.
Thanks in advance for any help...If I understand your need, you should in fact isolate the subject (a person I guess) in the top V2 clip from the rest of the scene around it, so only its picture appears as a ghost on top of the scene behind.
As I suggested before, this is a bit more difficult, mostly if the subject is moving in the clip.
One technique is to use a Matte, for example eight or four-point-garbage-matte (in the Video Filters bin), to isolate the subject from its background. However if the subject moves you have also to "move" the matte by applying keyframes to its points; this however is not a "lesson one" type of things...
Another technique is to use Chroma Keyer, but this works only if you shot the scene with your subject in front of a green or blue screen: then this filter will remove the background colour and only the subject will be overlayed.
I'm not sure all these tips are actually helping you, if your are just starting now with FCE. In any case you could try; but also read some introductory book like Final Cut Express HD 3.5 Editing Workshop by Tom Wolsky.

I watch youtube videos from ipad2 ( safari )
today for my first time, when i run a video and i want to pause it, i touch the screen where the video is playing to reach the pause botton that is located on a bar under the video which appears when i touch the screen. Today every time i touch the screen nothing happens and i cannt pause the video nor adjusting its quality.
So plese help me fixing this problem as soon as posible.

A bit more info:
-tried using YouTube in Safari on another ipad. Worked fine.
Tried reboot (sleep + home buttons for 15 seconds). Didn't fix.
-tried logging out of my YouTube account, thinking the problem was tied to my settings. Didn't fix.
-tried uninstalling all apps I downloaded since the last time YouTube worked properly. Didn't fix.
-tried watching a video in desktop mode. Can tap video screen to bring up pause okay in that mode.
There are work arounds, but the thing I want to know is why YouTube doesn't work in Safari as of a couple of days ago, and is it indicative of another more serious problem with my ipad. -
I have a iPhone 4S and when watching videos on the internet sound cuts out as the video is playing. The rest of the video plays with no sound. Sometimes when I pause It and play again sound comes back but not all the time. can anyone help?

Need more specifics about what error messages you got while installing Adobe Flash.
However, you can almost avoid Flash altogether by setting YouTube to play the HTML5 version instead.
Click the Try something new! link at the bottom of the YouTube page.
I don't know about the sound issue. Might be hardware as you think. Try other headphones to check. -
I can't get video to play at all on MAC!
I just recently purchased and downloaded Premiere Elements 12 for a class. My project deadline is fast approaching and I can't get any videos to play with either the toggle bar (space bar) or by using the VCR like buttons. I am using the "Classroom in a Book" tutorials AND trying to start a new project with my videos and this issue is occuring in both. I am able to select the video and place it on the timeline and pull the cursor left and right with NO SOUND.... I can also do this in the preview mode...BUT IT WILL NOT PLAY ON ITS OWN..... please advise.... I have a brand new MAC that we purchased in November, therefore I have all the updates.

Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer with Premiere Elements Mac?
Administrative Privileges are required for both Premiere Elements and QuickTime. Are you Mac computer permissions set appropriately for this?
What are the properties of this video...
video compression
audio compression
frame size
frame rate
interlaced or progressive
file extension
pixel aspect ratio
Is the problem only with this one particular video source or is the problem for all video and still imports?
Let us start here and then decide what next.

In Safari, open your Preferences, go to Advanced and check the "Show Develop menu in the menu bar"
This will add a new menu at the top.
Go to the Develop menu, User Agent and select a different choice which allows Safari to spoof different browsers, OSs and devices.
Selecting Safari for iPad usually works.
However, the choice is page specific. it doesn't stick if you go to another page, you need to repeat the procedure again. -
Videos on iPhoto no longer play. All was fine as I was organizing photos, but suddenly no more videos would play. What has happened?
Something went wrong. Now for a useful answer...
Before anyone can help, they need information to work with. Basic stuff:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. What were you doing when the problem arose?
- Did it ever work properly?
- Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
Anything else you can think of that might allow someone else to understand your issue.
With this kind of information somebody can develop a starting point for troubleshooting the issue.
Posts that consist of "iPhoto doesn't work. Help" or "iPhoto won't print" or "Suddenly I have no photos!!!!!!!!!!" mean that any helper is simply guessing. With information, s/he may be able to get your issue resolved sooner. -

It also takes time for the photos to be transferred out of your iPhone and into Photo stream on Apple's iCloud servers.
Note that this can't happen if your iPhone is not connected to a WiFi network:
When you enable My Photo Stream on your devices, all new photos you take or import to those devices will be automatically added to your photo stream.
iOS devices: New photos you take are automatically uploaded to your photo stream when you leave the Camera app and are connected to Wi-Fi. My Photo Stream does not push photos over cellular connections.
Macs: Any new photos you import to iPhoto or Aperture begin uploading automatically when you have a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. Or you can change your iPhoto or Aperture preferences so that only photos you manually add to My Photo Stream are uploaded.
PC with iCloud Control Panel 2.0 or later: Open a Windows Explorer window and under Favorites select iCloud Photos if you are using iCloud Control Panel 3.0 (or Photo Stream if you are using 2.0 to 2.1.2). Open My Photo Stream. Click the "Add photos" button. Select the photos to import to My Photo Stream, then click Open.

I want all my videos to play through one player, instead of having multiple videos!!
I would like to embed a video player into a PDF. I would like to have links in my document that, when clicked will trigger different videos to play in the ebedded video player. So In other words, I would like to have 5 videos on one page, but I want them all to play out of a single Video Player. (I don't want to have multiple video players on a page) Hopefully that makes sense. Someone please help me...I am using Acrobat X
With the default tools, not possible. However you can do it with a custom video widget (embedding the widget as a SWF file, manually adding the skin and all the videos to the Resources list, then controlling it with JavaScript).

Have you already tried switching off/on your phone and re-inserting your memory card to check if there's any difference? About the phone's signal, are you able to see any changes when moving the phone in one place to another? For the Wi-Fi signal, are you unable to connect to any available Wi-Fi network?

Play multiple videos (all on xml file) to play on button action
I am trying to make a swf with one FLV playback player and 6 buttons.
I've got 6 different videofiles that I want to have linked to this swf. Some of the videos are quit large.
When starting the Swf, the first video has to start, after playing it, it has to stop. Then you must be able to choose which video to play by clicking one of the buttons. I don't want to have small thumbnails of the video, just plain and simple buttons.
I have to have all my files, both fla, swf and xml files in the same directory (I cannot have them stored in different folders, since I have to upload this to a cms system which has limited upload properties).
I've tried to find the right script on the internet, I'm not very good at scripting myselve, actually rather poor educated there...
It seems to me that I have to make an xml file with a list of all my videos, I have my default swf ready, with a FLVplayback and buttons.
Now there's just the coding part....
Please can someone help me out here?assign your flvplayback component an instance name (eg, flv). you can then assign its source property to play your flv files.

That may be a problem with the VLC plugin. VLC has never worked for me properly on the occasions that I've tried it on Windows and Linux, so I have stop using it. There are usually other plugins or media players available that work better.
What kind of media files are that?
For WMP files you can install the new Windows Media Player plugin you can also try RealPlayer and QuickTime if it is about media that those programs can handle to see if that works better.
