Usage increases when I delete programs

I noticed a lot of shows were building up under Manage Deletions, so I assumed that if I used the " delete from DVR" feature to clean it up, my capacity would increase. The opposite happened. I was 74% full before deleting the shows and 80% after. Auto fix didn't help since it is the external. Is there something similar to Auto Fix for the external that will clean up capacity ?

There is no problem. AE is a memory hungry program and wil lretain as much data as possible in memory. Use Edit --> Purge to free up memory during sessions. That being said, excessive, unrelated memory consumption can be cuased by leaky CoDecs and incompatible effects, but since we don't know anything about your project ,we can't tell specifically.

Why doesn't free space increase when I delete songs?

I have a 3rd gen iPod Nano that I have had for 4+ years. I had a problem with it last week - I was no longer able to copy songs to it, so I did a restore and then reloaded a bunch of songs. This worked fine. Now what I find, though, is that when I delete songs, the amount of free space available does not increase (no matter how many I delete). Does anyone have any idea what's causing this? Thanks.

So you manually manage the iPod's contents then? Are you deleting the tracks from the iPod itself or from your actual iTunes library?
What happens if you do a hard reset the iPod after removing the content? Do the free space reappear then?

How archive infostructures are filled when the delete program runs(sd_cond)

I could not find a suitable forum for this, hence posting it here. I need to know how the ZARIX tables get filled in SAP Archiving. As far as I know, they are filled automaticlaly when the delete job runs, but I could not find any code in SD_COND_ARCH_DELETE program.
My issue is that my delete program did not fill one of the infostructures which was active and this infostructure corresponds to the zarix table. On the other hand, this infostructure got filled manually(verified in zarix also).
Wondering how this could have happened. Can this be because multiple delete jobs are running creating various sessions. This is mainly with reference to the SD_COND archive object.

There is a separate program to fill infostructures as when you fill them manually (Transaction SARJ, Environment -> Fill Structure) a new job is triggered. Have a look at the job that ran when you filled your infostructure manually and analyse the program that ran.
There should not be any problem in filling the infostructures due to several archiving sessions running at the same time. If you face the same issue again, see if any of the archiving jobs (write, store, delete) failed for any reason. If all the jobs finished successfully but an infostructure didn't get filled then have a look for any OSS note related to this issue. If you can't find anything, raise an SAP message as the infostructures have to get filled automatically as otherwise there will be no access to the archived data.

CPU/Memory usage increases drastically while moving the SWC components and loading the SWF Files.
"Problem Description" - On executing the sample application, a window with multiple objects is shown. The loaded SWC components in flex consume too much Memory and CPU cycles. This is visible in TaskManager. On dragging one of the object, CPU / memory usage increases drastically.
"Steps to Reproduce" -
Draggable window is placed at the bottom in the sample application with Text indication.
Drag the indicated window.
"Actual Result" - System's CPU usage increasing drastically around 50% to 60 %.
"Expected Result" - Drastical increase in memory\CPU should not occur.
"Any Workarounds" - No"

Why doesn't my free disk space increase when I delete files on Mountain Lion?

I just upgraded my Macbook Air to Mountain Lion. Now whenever I delete files my free disk space doesn't increase. I show only 500Mb free space now (out of 120Gb), even though I just deleted 50Gb of files. I tried to reinstall Mountain Lion, but it said I don't have enough space. I have a very simple setup, with no external apps except for Office 2011. I am NOT using Time Machine (I have it set to "off"), or any other backup programs, so I don't think this is the problem.
Also, I noticed that whenever I move a file to the trash, I am asked for my password, which is extremely annoying.
I am living in France, far from the nearest Apple store. Can anyone help? Thanks.

By "Main Website" I assume you mean via the developer's site. If this is so, your purchase would need to be taken up directly with the developer. With good will you may get a refund if the developer can be sure you'd also bought it from the App Store.
But you say also "with the same ID" ... and you would not need an ID to purchase from the developer.
A deleted purchase from the App Store can be reinstalled free so you should check your App Sore receipts to see if you have two (which I doubt).

You should get your keyboard checked as it's repeating on a lot of keys and makes you look silly.
There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

What are you doing with your program. Lots of improper programming techniques can cause this - building arrays, concantanating strings, opening but not closing refrences, etc. Need more details or post your VI. Also, have you looked at "LabVIEW Performance and Memory Management"? It's part of the shipping documentation and available from Help>Search the LabVIEW Bookshelf.

Connect your external drive and allow the backup to run, and the "snapshots" will be removed.

Try restarting the computer, then select the disk's Desktop icon. Press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info window and check how much free space is shown. If it still hasn't changed at all then try the following:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions - Lion/Mountain Lion
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. Although the suggestion to delete old Time Machine snapshots, if any, that will only free up space but will not fix the problem you have described. If you are deleting files but the free space on the drive fails to update, that means there is a directory problem on the drive that needs to be fixed.

Open the Finder.
From the Finder menu bar top of your screen click View > Show Status Bar
You should now see the the free space available at the bottom of any Finder window and that should change after you empty the Trash.

High CPU usage while running a java program

Hi All,
Need some input regarding one issue I am facing.
I have written a simple JAVA program that lists down all the files and directories under one root directory and then copies/replicates them to another location. I am using java.nio package for copying the files. When I am running the program, everything is working fine. But the process is eating up all the memories and the CPU usage is reaching upto 95-100%. So the whole system is getting slowed down.
Is there any way I can control the CPU usage? I want this program to run silently without affecting the system or its performance.

Try booting up in Safe mode (holding down the Shift key while booting). If the software came with an unistaller, use it to remove alll traces of the software - it's nothing that you need and, as you've experienced, can do more actual hard than good (as is the case with most software of this type). When you're booted in Safe Mode, if you can't run an uninstaller, at least check to make sure that there are no Trend Micro items that are set for automatic log in, at least.
