Usage Information Access

Can the account owner block other users of the account from viewing usage information?  If so, how can you do that?

If the users have registered for a MyVerizon account, they will be able to see their own usage online, and through the various text codes (#DATA gives you data usage, for instance).  They will not be able to see full details for the account, billing information, or make changes unless they are designated as an account manager.
If you no longer want them to be a manager, you can change that online through the Account Owner's MyVerizon, or by calling in and asking to have their name removed.

  • Tracking Access and Usage Information

    Hi,
Is there a way to collect user VDI logins and logouts, along with other relevant information, like the DTU token, and possibly other usage information ? We provide open access to SunRay DTUs to connect to our virtualization platform, and we should be able to collect information like "who was connected, from when to when, on which client, etc.".
I've found the file "/var/cacao/instances/vda/logs/cacao.0" to log some of this information, but there is no timestamp in this file:
FINE: thr#1466 Logging user XXXXXX into desktop [202]XXXXX (some UUID)
I could not find information about auditing or usage logging in the Administration doc.
    Any other pointer ?
    Thanks for your help,
    Laurent

    Hi Laurent,
unfortunately, we do not provide a public/stable API for retrieving such auditing information yet.
As you already pointed out, there is some information in the cacao logs (but as stated that is not a stable interface). Regarding the missing timestamp, the log messages should always be two lines - first line with timestamp and source of the event, second line with the actual log message.
The other possibility to get some of the information would be to read it directly from the VDI database, but again you would be on your own here as direct access to the database is not supported (due to the fact that the database layout might change in future VDI versions).

  • Capturing the JVM heap usage information to a log

When using weblogic 6.1sp3 the console under monitoring/performance a graph is

capture this information to a log?

For heap size before and after each gc, you could pass the -verbose:gc option to the JVM
    on startup:
    WLS C:\alex>java -verbose:gc weblogic.Admin PING 10 10

  • Manufacturing Information Access Software System (joke)

Something I found while surfing around...
    Enjoy,
    Juan
    MIASS
Subject: Manufacturing Information Access Software System (MIASS)
This memo is to announce the development of a new plant- wide software system. We are currently building a data warehouse that will contain all plant manufacturing data. The program is referred to as the "Manufacturing Information Access Software System" (MIASS).
Next Monday at 9:00 there will be a meeting in which I will show MIASS. We will continue to hold demonstrations throughout the month so that all employees will have an opportunity to get a good look at MIASS.
As for the status of the implementation of the program, I have not addressed the networking aspects so currently only one person can be in MIASS at a time. This should change as MIASS expands.
Several people are using the program already and have come to depend on it. Just this morning I walked into a subordinate's office and was not surprised to find that he had his nose buried in MIASS. I've noticed that some of the less technical personnel are somewhat afraid of MIASS. Just last week, when asked to enter some information into the program, I had a secretary say to me "I'm a little nervous, I've never put anything in MIASS before." I volunteered to help her through her first time and when we were through she admitted that it was relatively painless and she was actually looking forward to doing it again. She went so far as to say that after using SAP and Oracle, she was ready to kiss MIASS.
I know there are concerns over the virus that was found in MIASS upon initial installation, but I am pleased to say the virus has been eliminated and we were able to save MIASS. In the future, however, protection will be required prior to entering MIASS.
We planned this database to encompass all information associated with the business. So as you begin using the program, feel free to put anything you want into MIASS. As MIASS grows larger, we envision a time when it will be commonplace to walk by an office and see a manager hand a paper to an employee and say "Here, stick this in MIASS."
This program has already demonstrated great benefit to the company during recent OSHA and EPA audits. After requesting certain historical data the agency representatives were amazed at how quickly we provided the information. When asked how the numbers could be retrieved so rapidly our Environmental Manager proudly stated "Simple, I just pulled them out of MIASS".

    Everyone has a MIASS...
The trick is to validate all input, encode all output and regularly apply patches from the software vendors

  • How can OWB apply information access control policy?

    Hi friends,
My question is "how can OWB apply information access control policy in DW?"
    Regards

    Hi,
what exactly do you mean by "information access control policy"?
What you cannot do in owb is define grants or virtual private database (vpd) constraints.
What you can do is restrict the developer's access to owb objects in the repository.

  • How do I unselect your default selection for my personal usage information to be sent to Adobe?

Usually, software companies ask if you consent to send personal usage info for them to us anonymously (whatever they mean by that) to improve their product. The user is given the choice to click yes or no. Why do you take that option away from the users of your software by, essentially, stating that you are taking the info but the user has the option to stop you, if they can figure out how? I'm sure pointing out that the user has the option to take steps to prevent this is simply because the lawyers recommend it. But really, Adobe used to be such a classy company, why are you doing things that appear to be trickery to get what you want?

I remember that during the installation of Reader DC I was given a choice to send anonymous usage information.  I selected the default Yes.
If I later change my mind I can simply go into Preferences and uncheck that option:

  • No usage information for SharePoint 2010 or 2013

    Hi community,
I try to retrieve information about SharePoint 2010 or 2013 usage (wich user access Enterprise or Standard feature, etc.).
I checked the configuration of IIS log files and it's ok. MAP Toolkit 9.0 parsed the log files, but didn't show any information about usage.
    Did I miss something?
    Thanks

I retrieve users and devices in the report generated by MAP Toolkit 9.0 for SharePoint 2010 and 2013.

  • Oracle Files - where do i get the usage information ?

    Hi ,
I am with OracleDirect , India. I am working to generate reports on usage of files in Oracle Files like who has created and modified ,locked a file and when (history of usage) ? what all files a person has accessed, modified , create (user history) ? etc... Is this information stored any where ? if so , where it is and how is it stored ? Is it stored in database or is it logged to some log ? If it is database please let me know , what tables have it ? or else if they are logs , what logs are to be looked at and do the logs have a specified format? and How can i go about to get the information from them and use it ?
    Thanks in advance ,

  • Usage Tracking - Access problem when Authentication Mode = Windows

    Hi Everyone,
I´m working on UPK Usage Tracking configuration, in order to provide the finished training material.
    1) In Server01 (on Window Server 2003) the UPK Usage Tracking is installed
    2) In Server02 (also on Windows Server 2003) the Usage Tracking database is installed
    3) By accessing the configuration file (http://Server01/ODSTrack/configuration/setup.aspx) on Server01,I setup the Authentication Mode = Forms
Note: The rest of the configurations were done.
    4) Once the configuration from step 3 is done, I execute the traning material (on Server01) from another node of the windows network
and as a result I´m able to perform it.
    5) I access the Statistc data on Server01 by accessing the file (http://Server01/ODSTrack/admin/default.aspx)and I´m also able to see the results.
    6) When I execute the step 3 but with Authentication Mode = Windows, and including the GROUP name (windows group specially created for this goal where my user is included),
    - I still have access to the training material (step 4)
    - I have NO aceess to the statistics data any more (step 5) and the following message is display
"You do not have permission to access this page. Please contact your Usage Tracking Server Administrator to update your permissions. "
I don´t know what else I can do, and I wonder if some other configurations need to be done at windows network and/or explorer lever or any other.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Best Regards//
    Rubén Zamudio

    Hi All,
This problem was solved by reconfiguring Usage Tracking in the authentication method (was anonymous and the solution was Windows integrated).
It is important to count on people from your organization working on Networks with some knowledge in IIS.

  • Usage Profile Access

I have special Usage Profiles UP_1 and UP_2 where choosen diferent SWCV. And I what that User_1 may choose only profile UP_1 and user_2 may choose only UP_2.
That users can develop objects only in SWCV of own usage profile.
But I found that if I give to users role SAP_XI_CONTENT_ORGANIZER_J2EE they can choose ANY usage profile.
How to protect access user_1 objects in SWCV of user_2?

    Hi Anton,
Users with the following roles are available for configuring the scenarios:
    1. Administrator
(Include the roles SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR_J2EE and SAP_XI_CONTENT_ORGANIZER_J2EE)
    2.Developer
(Exclude the roles SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR_J2EE and SAP_XI_CONTENT_ORGANIZER_J2EE and should only have developer rights)
Please refer the below doc it will help you.
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/50a3efb4-57a1-2d10-a6b9-fed6d21799f8?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true
There are multiple users in a project who access the ESR. These users come under the following categories:
    1. Administrator (has access to all objects in ESR)
    2. Developers (has to be restricted from using some ESR objects)
    3. Display Users (has only display authorization for certain ESR objects and not edit permissions)
The users will be restricted also based on Software Components i.e. the users will have access only to the software components of the current project.
For this scenario, custom Usage Profiles are created in ESR for each of the above mentioned categories. Users logging into ESR can select any of these profiles according to their requirement.

  • Wireless Usage Information

I reviewed my current usage this morning.  VzW is claiming that I consumed over 3 GBs of bandwidth during a visit at a coffee shop.  In order to do that, I would have to be doing video streaming!  Is there a way for me to request additional information on the bandwidth consumption during the specific period where I supposedly consumed this much bandwidth?

That's quite a bit of usage in a short period of time ManInFull. Let's see what we can find out. I'm assuming you looked over My Verizon to verify this information. This would be the most helpful way to view the details available. What device were you using? If you have a MiFi or Hotspot that's unlocked, (no security), it could be that others were using your data. (WiFi off of your device.)
You can contact Technical Support to have a Diamond Ticket filed to investigate usage, but you'll be notified if data was used or not. Specific details will not be provided. If you would like to go this route, please Follow me and send a Direct Message with the 10-digit mobile number in question.

  • Why is my usage information wrong?

    Hello there,
So I'm in a similar boat to some other subscribers - I have the unlimited data plan and they're making me switch or pay full price for the phone to stay grandfathered in. While I'm not thrilled about this, I'd at least like to have the relevant information to make an informed decision. Knowing how much data I (and my fiancee, who is also on my plan) use is obviously the most important piece to this puzzle.
So I check 'my usage' I go to the account analyzer which shows month by month usage, and I download the last few statements. My bill looks fine for my phone number. It shows usage varying between 976.67 MB and 1959.47 MB for an average of 1388.24 MB. Normal numbers.
But my fiancee's bill can't be correct. For 3 months in a row it shows EXACTLY 1024.00 MB, and then for the last 3 months it shows EXACTLY 2048.00 MB for an average of 1536.00 MB. She has a limit of 2 GB so it shows as being under every month. It shows this on the account analyzer and also on each monthly statement.
When I spoke with a chap rep, they said whatever number is there is correct. But you can't tell me she has managed to use exactly 50.00% or 100.00% of her limit for each month over the past 6 months. Just not possible. To the 2nd decimal place. I checked and I don't have any of the family protection controls in place, where it blocks the data if you go over or get close.
    So
    A) How can I see accurate usage?
    B) Why would Verizon not be showing me accurate usage?
I would appreciate any insight!!! I have looked through but haven't seen anyone else with this issue. The conspiracy theorist in me can't help but wonder if Verizon doesn't want me to make an informed decision, and instead would prefer if I either spend too much for data I don't need, or don't get enough data and have to pay them the ridiculous $15 overage charge.
    Thaks!

    stimsona2 wrote:
thx, but then why would mine be reported accurately and hers rounded to the nearest GB? I mean that's a pretty big rounding they're doing there! 1 GB is a big difference when they charge so much money for data
Edit: I guess I'll check the statement tomorrow and will know it's doing this if it shows 1.0 GB as used because today the period just ended and it's showing as 0.339 GB used on her line for Feb!
I am assuming you guys are on the old nationwide plans with separate data plans. Those on tiered data on Nationwide will only show data rounded up on the bill. Anything under 1 GB will be round up to 1 GB anything between 1.1 GB and under 2 GB will be rounded up to 2 GB. So yes her part of the bill will show either 1 GB or 1024 MB of usage.
Unlimited data users or those on More Everything plans the lines have the actual usage down to three decimal points

  • Nested IPE (In Place Element) usage when accessing Cluster/Array data via DVR

I am sharing data across several VIs and loops via a DVR, and accessing the data via a DVR IPE. The data is a cluster of arrays. The diagram below (VI attached) illustrates the structures invloved, but not the structure of the application.
(The diagram above does not include initialization of the arrays, as it is intended only to illustrate the Cluster1 data type. Array lengths could be 100.)
The DVR (DVR1) is passed to multiple VIs of the application at startup.
Each VI executes loops that either read or write particular elements of each array (fArray1 or fArray2).
I believe the DVR IPE (B1-DVR) provides blocking so that only one task can modify the data (Cluster1) at any time.
Case 1 illustrates how I currently WRITE to array elements. The outer IPE (block B1) is rolled into a VI (not shown) that takes DVR1, Index, and Value as inputs.
Cases 2 - 4 illustrate 3 additional methods that remove one or both of the inner IPEs (B2-Cluster and B3-Array).
Case 2: IPE B3 (Array Index/Replace Elements) is replaced with a non-IPE 'Replace Array Subset'.'
Case 3: IPE B2 (Unbundle / Bundle Elemnts)' is replaced with a non-IPE cluster 'Unbundle'/'Bundle'.
    Case 4: removes both B2 and B3.
I implemented case 1 a long time ago.  When I had to do the same thing again recently, I did case 4.  When I stumbled across my earlier implementation, I was a bit suprised
Which of the 4 cases should take the least time (or resources) to execute? I think case 4 has as few array allocations as any of the other 3.
The attached image did not capture the Buffer Allocation marks, so I marked the ones that differed with a red "B".
I am only interested in differences in how the arrays are handled, so I see no signioficant differences.
Is this one of those cases where LV doesn't need my help?
Incidently, I recently wrote a small app with shared data and decided to try FGVs to share array data.  For small arrays, 10^7 iterations, and an FGV based array-element read followed by a element write, the FGV was faster.  1.2us per read/write for FGV vs 3us per r/w for an DVR/IPE based read/write (like above).

Option 1 is a definite no and as far as I know it has been NI's explicit intention to steer clear from it. I believe there's an idea in the IE which asks for this.
I agree that option 2 makes sense, but I don't think it should be something the user specifies. Either LV can detect it automatically or it can't, but I doubt NI would let you have an option which creates the possibility for this kind of bug.
I'm not sure, but the mark as modifier option on the IPES might be the option you're looking for. I know that it exists and I know very roughly what it does, but the documentation for it is very limited and I never actually played around with it, as usually I don't need these kinds of optimizations.
You may well be right that a new option on the IPES is desirable and you should probably add it to the idea exchange.
As for NIWeek, I'm not going this year, so I have no idea what kinds of sessions are around, but it's a great place to find people who know what they're talking about and ask them about it directly. Certain people in LV R&D would probably be ideal for this and if you ask relevant people, you might even get their names. I'm sure buying them a beer would also help to loosen their tounges. If you ask me, this type of interaction is the main value of the conference, not the sessions themselves.
Try to take over the world!
