Usage of JSR 170 for B2C Prod Ready?

Hi all,
since I didn't found any references, I'm interested to know if someone here has successfully implemented a B2C high volume site with WebLogic Portal , using Content Presenter, the JSR170 adaptor and an enterprise JSR 170 repository.
We are looking for references where this stack is used , but right know havn't found any.
Besides JSR 170 usage: It's even difficult (for us) to find references at all, where Web logic Portal is used for public web sites for a large enterprise with high volume access.
Any hints? Perhaps with a link?

I have some questions about the XPath expressions to be used with JSR-170. Is there any forum that is out there for this? Or, should I post my questions here!
Anyways, there is 1 question (not entirely JSR-related) that I have -
/page1/page2//*[fn:name(),'page3']
I assume the above query would return "all pages under /page1/page2 that have the name 'page3'. Can this however not be achieved by the following query -
/page1/page2//*[@name,'page3']
In the JSR world, this returns nodes named 'page3' from a repository and the repository has an attribute called "name" for this node type. Would this not work in the usual XML scenario as the particular tag doesn't have an attribute called "name". Meaning, it is something like -
<page3>
as opposed to
<page name="page3">

I'm working on implementing the JSR-170 APIs and am looking for a relevant forum to post questions. Thanks.

forum as such.My bad - I didn't delve into all the links and can see where you might have run into trouble. Sorry about that.
I suppose this'd be as good a place as any, but I don't personally have experience with content repository APIs...

Does the UCM support JSR 170 (Java API for Content Repository) through the Content Integration Suite or other means?

Does the bea content repository is JSR-170 compliant

Hi ALL,
Actually i want to use the bea content repository form my web service so should i go for SPI interface or i should use the JCR (Java Conetnt repository)API.
But i would be able to use the JCR interface only if the bea content repository is JSR 170 compliant.
Pls. suggest me the right way.

Pdf doc is required for B2C CRM 2007 WEB SHOP

Hello Experts,
We have a scenario where (pdf doc ) is required for b2c Header level and tem level in CRM 2007 web channel.
we have set up a product and product catalog and maintained a PDF document in the HEADER AREA--
Documents Tab--BDS_PDF folder.
After intial replication Documents was published in the following path
*catalog/DE DE161EE3D35DAAF19F1E000C29D94525.pdf *
we are able to find images and pdf in the index server but unable to see the same in the web shop.
Did I miss some thing ? Do I need to do any other settings in XCM or in JSP?

Are ERP Sales Orders supported for B2C Web Channel Scenario in CRM 7.0?

Hi Experts,
We are on CRM 7.0 with ECC 6.0 as backend system.
I just want to know whether the third party tax system (Vertex or Taxware) is mandatory for B2C WEB Channel implementation??
Without using a third party tax system, how can we configure tax for B2C web orders?
We have ERP sales order concept in 7.0. Will it support B2C scenario???

-- Tax is configured in ECC using conditioni technique. They are not using any third party taxware/vertex system for this.
-- R/3 pricing procedure is intended to use for B2C transactions in Web channel and the pricing procedure refers to tax calculations. Even in B2c also they want to continue with the ECC pricing procedure.
-- The Requirement is to have pricing along with taxes and freight in the webshop, so that the consumers can pay the total amount using credit card as it is only the payment method available in the b2c Shop.
in the document "CAUSTAX_4.0" it was mentioned that use of third party system is mandatory for B2C scenarios. The relevant text is copied below.
As of CRM 3.1 and above, SAP provides a solution allowing you to use SAPu2019s jurisdictional tax method to calculate taxes.
Note: The use of external tax systems remains obligatory for B2C scenarios. However, if you are calculating tax in other scenarios and do not use external tax systems, this solution is applicable.
The solution consists of customizing changes in both R/3 and CRM. Even though you must make some changes in R/3, the basic process of calculating jurisdictional taxes remains the same. In CRM, the Transaction Tax Engine (TTE) calculates tax and you must configure it for the jurisdictional tax method.
My question is can we configure taxes in B2c shop using ECC pricing procedure? If yes, please provide the high level process steps.

Logic for Automatice AccountID generation for B2C Accounts

I have noticed that the accountIDs for B2C accounts are of the form WEB245df2f283ce.
The WEB prefix is a configuration setting.
What is the algorithm or class used to generate this random(?) string. I noticed there is a method CREATE in the class NPAccount but I hoping to use SQL to bulk sync the users/usersAccount table with an external membership database.
Perhaps ... if the only requirement is that the ACCOUNTID's be unique then perhaps I can create my own as long as they don't conflict with any already existing? Would that work if created my own random suffix to the WEB-accountid?

I'm not sure what class is used but in the Setup / Config Settings / Netpoint dropdown there is a checkbox for auto generating account id's. You could try unchecking this and see what happens .. I think it tries to create the account based on the userid.
If you want to create your own accounts in code, you're right they just need to be unique so you can use whatever logic you want.

How to create a reference user for B2C application?

Hello,
Can somebody please tell me how to create a reference user for B2C application?
I am trying to create a new account on the B2C site. It is giving me a null pointer exception. I have not created a reference user for B2C application.
Is there any documentation available to explain the steps required for this?

Does not remember password for Virgin Usage when it does for Webmail

In Firefox 2.0.0.20 (the latest version that will work in WinMe), the username and password for Virgin WEBMAIL is prompted, but the identical information for an identical login form for Virgin Broadband USAGE is NOT prompted; and the settings for REMEMBERING the login details are ineffective FOR THIS SITE. I have tracked differences between these sites to differences in 'Page Info' in
Firefox's Tools menu, but I cannot change the Page Info for USAGE to be the same as for WEBMAIL. I have failed to trigger login-details-prompting by 'artificially' adding them to the Stored Passwords list. Can someone help me make Firefox prompt the login details for USAGE as it does for WEBMAIL ?
