Usage Probability for component

Dear all,
My scenario as following,
Finished product     30001
Bom component    1) 20001 (Plain Body) in nos (UOM)
                               2) 20002 (XR Body) in nos (UOM)
Now customer requirement is of 10 qty with 20% XR body. I have made setting in usage probability as following
1) 20001 (Plain Body) 1/1/1/80
2) 20002 (XR Body)     1/1/1/20
For this, requirement of body coming 8 nos and 2nos. it is ok for me.
But in Second case when the customer order is of 11 Qty
Requirement generated 9 and 3 that means 1 excess body will get consumed. i required exact 11 Nos body for production. give help on same.

its automatic only.
problem is when the quantity is liike you mentioned in your issue 11, you cant have exact % out from it.
so in such cases you need to do manual adjustment, other wise it will work as per usage probability.
tell me one thing , in case of 11 how you want system to calculate for A and B ,
A 9 and B 2 , then it means that still quantity of A is more then whats needed as % is 80 so A shoild be 8.18181818 etc , and in case of B shoild be more then 2.18 etc.
so a system cant decide on its own for which compoent it should reduce and for which to increase, thats why you are getting A with 9 and B with 3 , now you can decide which one need to be corrected .

Can you please help me in usage probability issue:
I have FG material A and X and Y are child items. Now my X is going to be phased out and Y is phase in. X is having some stock so I want to consume that stock of X first but simultaneously I want to procure Y also but I will not use it in production till my X stock gets fully consumed.
Now I tried this with usage probabilty and put the details like this in the BOM:
X Item:
Alt group = A
Pririoty = 1
Strategy = 2
Usage probabbilty = 0 %
and for Y item:
Alt grp = A
pririoty = 2
Strategy = 2
usage probabilty = 100 %.
Now when I ran the MRP , I got no requirement for X and requirement for Y is coming. This is ok to me.
Now when I created one production order for FG A" with 100 qty then in component overview screen X is having 0 qty and Y is coming 100.
If my pririoty for X is 1 then why it is coming 0 and Y as 100 in production order?
Does this effect of pririoty comes in Co11n in goods movement tab? where can I see the effect result of pririoty?

Deepak,
When you say X is phased out for some FG & some it is in still use.
Then one thing you need to keep in mind that it will be effective if you maintain effective out date in material master of X & you maintain the discontinuation data in the respective BOM.
Let's take an example there are twoFGs, P & Q in which X is used.
For P, X is phased out & Y will be used. For Q, X is still in use.
Now don't maintain effcet. out date in material master of X.
In BOM of P maintain the discontinuation data as described in the last reply.
In BOM of Q don't maintain any discon. data.
Now create order for P as well as Q.
The data will be effective for P & not for Q.
In the order of Q, X will be picked as normal material only.
Try it out & revert.
Check this out in your development server first.
This will certainly solve your problem.
Alternative group won't help you in this case.

Costing variant , how to config rounding for component quants ?

Hello everyone ,
i am new to CO-PC
my user want to change rounding for component quants.
Current setting is u2018Round up with Nondimensional units of Measureu2019.
This affects too high loss in standard product cost due to rounding up.
For instance, 24 pieces of product are packed in one shipping carton.
Based on standard cost calculation per 100 pieces,
shipping carton usage is computed as roundup of (100/24) which is 5 pieces.
Once in the actual production, production lot size is 10,000 pcs.
Target shipping carton usage would be automatically calculated as (5*24,000/100) = 1,200 pcs
whereas in the reality, 1,000 shipping carton should be used (24,000/24).
As a result, material usage variance is shown too high due to rounding up.

I dont think this behaviour can be changed....
There is a workaround though, in acordance with SAP recommendations
Increase your costing lot size to 10,000 or 1000 or as much as reasonably possible... Also, increase your Price Unit and keep it same as Costing Lot Size....
For Existing Material Masters: Go to T code MM17 and change MARC-LOSGR (Costing Lot Size) and MBEW-PEINH (Price Unit)....You can change in mass mode
For New Material Masters: Using BADI MATERIAL_REFERENCE, you can default the costing lot size and price unit as 10000 or 1000 as desired

Dep.req. with usage probability

Dear guru's,
We try to setup a working variant configurator, but we are not able to get the dependent requirements right.
We use planning strategy 56, we have a superbom with all possible components, the BOM items have a selection condition based on class 200.
We also have a configuration profile and a planning profile. IN MD61 we are able to enter the usage probabilities.
The result however is disappointing: the planned orders generated by MRP show that the full qty is passed on to the components instead of the part as defined in the usage probablity.
Any thoughts? Your help will be greatly appreciated!

SAP requires that "In order to maintain usage probabilities, you must flag them as relevant for planning in the planning profile"
When you activate a combination value key in the planning profile, the characteristic associated with the combination value key is considered during demand planning.
Once you have marked the required char. as relavant for Characteristics planning the model should work.

BOM-Usage probablity - Message no. CO607-Process order

Dear Gurus,
pl see the msg below.
Total usage probability = 120 for alternative group AA

This is a information message. I would like to change it as Error
In the O04C system messages i couldnt find this message. So i created a new mssage by making it as Error mssage.
But while changing the usage probability which goes beyond 100 system gives only information mssage only.
pl guide me

If message is not available in the std message setting in IMG...mostly it is not possible to change and is hard codedin the program. if you want you can debug it and check.

The explanation below can give u an idea of wat is going in ur code..
Use of FOR ALL Entries
Outer join can be created using this addition to the where clause in a select statement. It speeds up the performance tremendously, but the cons of using this variation are listed below
Duplicates are automatically removed from the resulting data set. Hence care should be taken that the unique key of the detail line items should be given in the select statement.
If the table on which the For All Entries IN clause is based is empty, all rows are selected into the destination table. Hence it is advisable to check before-hand that the first table is not empty.
If the table on which the For All Entries IN clause is based is very large, the performance will go down instead of improving. Hence attempt should be made to keep the table size to a moderate level.

Firefox 4 is apparently not compatibile with MacOS 10.5.8 PPC since after downloading and trying to open a pop-up says it is not compatible with my system. This version is probably for MacOS 10.5 Intel users. Unless there's another reason?

When Firefox 4 was proposed, I immediately checked the system requirements for Mac user:
"MacOS 5
MacOS 6"
So I downloaded it, since my OS is 10.5.8 (PPC), I thought I was fine. When downloaded, the Firefox icon showed a Stop sign in the middle: maybe a new logo? But when trying to open it, a window popped up saying this version was not compatible with my system. Therefore, using Time Machine, I reverted back to Firefox 3.6.16.
If this is the case, you should absolutely warn '''PPC''' users not to download Firefox 4. Your version is probably for '''Intel''' versions.
Unless you come up with a fix, I won't be able to use Firefox 4 until I change computers, having updated my system to the last possible upgrade.

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. There is a third party version of Firefox 4 that runs on OS X 10.4/10.5 and PPC Macs, for details see http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox
If you prefer, you can get the latest version of Firefox 3.6 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

XXX.YYY.ZZZ..ume.Ume. (Hint: Is the corresponding DC deployed correctly? Does the DC contain the component?)
Caused by: java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException
Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com.sap.tc.webdynpro.model.webservice.gci.WSTypedModelClass
I think this started after upgrading from 7.01 SP3 to SP5, but I'm not sure.
What was it that solved your issue?
*I found the error. My ProjectProperties.wdProperties did not contain the references it needed.*

Web Dynpro Java : Failed to get deployable object part info for component

Currently we have a web dynpro java project which connects to the ABAP backend with Web Services. Everything seems fine, and when we transport to the production server via NWDI, we have the following error. Everytime we try to access the application , the error is occurred.

It is working properly in our development , and testing environment. Only production has this error. And one weird thing is that this particular error occurred only sometimes to some user. For example; I could not access to the application with this error yesterday but my friend can access. Today, I can access in the morning but my friend cannot. For another friend , Yesterday he can access by using IE but not by Firefox. But today Firefox is fine but not with IE. It seems crazy.
For more information, in our J2EE engine for the production server, we have 3 server nodes (clusters). And we are not sure it is the source of the problem. Is there any solution , and any way to know from the application that we are on which server?
We also go and check from the Content Administrator in Web Dynpro Console. Under our project name, in the list of Components, sometimes we can see AttachmentComp but sometimes not.
Please help us as our project is about to go-live next week.

Is a user defined for component AF - error ?

Hi All,
In my RWD > Component Monitoring - I have an alert showing up on the Adapter Engine, for the Self-Test Status. The error is on "Is a user defined for component AF?"
Any ideas how to resolve this ??

If this is in "Is a user defined for component AF" in red click on the details next to it ...it will show up what the problem is...
Usually XI uses XIAFUSER to connect to AF....Check whether these user is specified in exchange profile and then also check whether this existing and not locked...

Special stock indicator for component in process order

Hi,
There is a field in process order where we can maintain special stock indicator for component.
In this filed if we define consignment stock, then the vendor field becomes activated, where the vendor can be given.
Now we want to maintain the data as a master data so that whenever process order is created the sp stock indicator as well as vendor are populated for that particular component.
Q - where to define this master data. I could not see such fields in BOM?

Thaks for responding. Even by doing this system does not propose special stock indicator as '3' in process order & even vendor is not proposed.
My requirement is that system should propose '3' in special stock indicator in process order.

Error in Solar02 " Error - No system found for component SAP LEARNING.....

I have selected the Business repository from the Tcode Solar01c, and i can see the list of configuration under Business Scenario,
when i am trying to execute any Tcode,(My understanding is that this Tcode must execute in Development system) it gives the following Error,
" No system Found for Component SAP Learning Solution and Role Evaluation system in project ZPROJ.
In SMSY i have created Two systems Dev :100 and Qas:300 Which are assigned to one logical component whose producted Version in SAP ERP.
Please advise by reviewing above scenario.

I've had the same issue with regards to getting the error below when assigning transactions to a Blueprint business process.
"No system found for component and Evaluation system in the Project"
But I think I have solved it and seems pretty simple to change the system role from Evaluation System to any other that is relevant in your landscape.
Go to transaction SOLAR01 > Click on the first level of the Project Name (Under Business Blueprint Structure) to select the Project.
Click Business Blueprint in the Menu > System Role > Choose the relevant System Role (in my case Development)
Click Copy
This should replicate to all nodes and then you should be able to assign transaction to the business processes.
Quite strange and seems simple, I checked the Solution Directory, Solar Project Admin etc etc but couldn't find the solution until this which should work.
If not, there is a similar work around which also works.
Go to transaction SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN
System Landsacpe Tab
Systems subtab
Click System Role Assignment
Remove the Evaluation System (or all those not relevant to your Project and Logical Components)
Save Project
Go to SOLAR01 and it should reflect it in the Blueprint.
You can always go back to this and add the System Roles you removed and the Blueprint will reference the correct Role.
