Usage report and storage profiles

Hi all,
I'm trying to create a usage report i CBM that shows the storage consumption devided in storage policies. I have 2 different storage policies and they are both visible when editing infrastucture cost.
When generation a cost report I can see the storage policies, but not when I'm generating the Usage Report - wich is the one I really need. I only get the storage usage - and cant differ between the storage policies.
Any ideas?
I'm running CBM 2.6.

Hi,
In any report we don't show the storage policies information. In Cost report if the storage policies have different rate factors then we will show the split for the storage information. But in usage report , rate factors will not be applicable as we don''t show the cost details. Hope this clarifies your question. Please let us know if you need more information.

Usage Report and Audit Log report showing different totals

I am trying to understand the differences displayed in two similar reports. The first report is an 'Audit Log' Report and it is displaying the number of Resource Account creations over a time period. The second report is a Usage Report using the exact same criteria (objectType = Resource Account and Action = Create). The totals I get back are VASTLY different. Can anyone explain? Is this a known bug?

In any report we don't show the storage policies information. In Cost report if the storage policies have different rate factors then we will show the split for the storage information. But in usage report , rate factors will not be applicable as we don''t show the cost details. Hope this clarifies your question. Please let us know if you need more information.

Usage reports and analytics

Hey everyone, just was curious to know what people were doing for analytics for their iTunesU site. Is anyone going above the weekly usage report, or doing anything unique that you might like to share? Thanks

I know the good folks at MacLearning (I'm a lesser light in that group), and in particular Jess Mitchell of Duke University, are looking to do some work in that area. I think we're in the the "thinking stage" just now.

Export - custom queries and reports, and security profiles

We would like to keep a copy of our customizations to the application.
There are ways to import queries, reports and profiles into the app. Is there any way to export the following to something like a CSV file for the following:
- custom queries (all tabs)
- custom reports (all tabs)
- security profiles (custom and out of box u2013 all access rights)

There are no standard queries that extract security profiles, Query Groups, Reports or Query Defintiions from the system.
However you can build custom queries that support this functionality. During an implementation project I created some custom queries which allowed you to extract these objects for documenting purposes We likely could supply these to you through SAP Consulting. Please reach out to your SAP rep and have them Contact Me. I have created some instruction that explain how to create these.

Portal Usage Reporting and Statistics

Does any body know/use software that can do Portal Usage Reporting? It do not must to be SAP software.

You have a few options. One option is use Performance Viewer.
Follow SAP Note 766839 for SAP J2EEngine 6.20 PL25+ and SAP Note 766598 for SAP J2EEngine 6.20 SR1+. Out of many out of the box reports, you can get User activity reports. It will give you username, number of requests, duration of all requests(ms), average duration of request (ms) during the time when you will monitor the system. You can either schedule monitoring for a duration or start and stop during a short duration.

Usage Reports and Popularity Trends

So I've set up my site and the Search Crawl is running. I've also got the Reporting feature activated and configured Usage and Health Data Collection. The WSS_Admin and WSS_WPG have access to the Log files.
However, the Popularity Reports are either disabled on some lists and libraries or the Popular Items continually shows NIL data. Likewise, the Popularity Trends and Usage Reports under Site Settings also show NIL data. I know that data is being
collected though, as the Search Reports do contain some (limited) data.
Is there a guide somewhere that shows exactly how to set this up because I can't seem to get it to work no matter what steps I follow.

We have two links “Popularity Trends” and “Popularity and Search Reports” in the site settings. By Clicking on the two links we can view the usage reports in SharePoint 2013.

ITunes U Usage Report Missing Data

We just received our monthly iTunes Usage report and for the week of 7/24 and 7/31, the report shows "0" activity in all fields.

I have the same problem. The two reports (dz and the regular) show 0 of the two weeks 7/24 and 7/31. Also the data of the week of 2011-07-17 is incorrect (compared to the one sent a couple of weeks ago.)

Usage reports - Can we increase the number of days to show in the daily report?

When I navigate to site setting >Popularity trends>Usage report and generate the excel report, I get to see the Dialy report and Monthly report.
In Dialy report I can see only for 14 days, which I would like to alter to show me 30 days of data rather.
Can you please let me know how to do this and/or whether is this possible.

In Usage report, number of days is determined by RecentPopularityTimeFrame property, and it is 14 by default. You could change the recent time period to be anything between 1 and 14 days.

If you would like to get report for more days, I’d recommend you use audit log for site collection. Customize the audit log period to 30 days or more. For more information:

Scheduling Usage reports

I am attempting to set up a scheduled usage report however the y-axis information does not show on screen during the scheduling set up. I have attempted the following in both versions 7.1/8.0 and using IE/Firefox. Is this a bug or am I missing a step in the process?
Here are the steps I followed to attempt setting up a scheduled usage report:
1) Change the UI_REPTS_XML_USAGE_TITLE Task Definition to visibility='schedule'
2) Navigate to Server Tasks tab, Manage Schedule subtab
3) Under the Tasks Available For Scheduling section, click Usage Report
You will notice the Configure Y-Axis Settings section shows the helper text plus the add and remove buttons but does not enable you to select any criteria. Any suggestions?
NOTE: If you go to Reports tab and click on Password Change Chart the y-axis information is configurable.

This is definitely starting to look like a bug to me. I see other bugs that relate to usage reports and they include steps and expected outcomes that differ from what we're seeing. I definitely recommend opening a case so that this can be reproduced, documented, and then a bug can be filed if necessary.

What Is The Network Bandwidth Usage Report?

I'm looking at the "Network Bandwidth Usage" report and it's just a list of devices with no bandwidth numbers? Is it ordered by amount of usage and if so, why isn't the usage displayed in the report and how do I see the usage for a device?

Page 22 of this document will give you some numbers that will allow you to estimate the total data used for a meeting. Keep in mind these numbers are what Adobe saw as average consumption, yours may be higher or lower.

We want a report Date Wise(As on 31.03.2008) and Storage Location Wise Quantity & Value Report for only Finish Materials. Is there any report ?
From Mb5b we canot get storage location wise report as we get only plant level qty and value.

Try the Tcode: MC.9 there enter the site and article and executeYou will get details of the article
stock, value. if you double click the article you will get the details of storage location.

Stock report in BW (valuated stock and Storage Location level)

            Regards.We got an situation here,
Case 1: R3 (MB5B) (Both "Storage loc" and "Valuated stock" shows the same Stock Qty)
1).The BW Stock Report shows values the Correct Values for "Receipt Qty" and "Issue Qty" with the Correct "Quantity total Stock" aswell.
Case 2 :   R3 (MB5B) (Stock is different between "Storage Loc" and "Valuated Stock")
1).The BW Stock Report shows the "Quantity Total Stock according to VALUATED STOCK Level(MB5B),but the "Receipt Qty" and "Issue Qty" according to STORAGE LOCATION Level(MB5B) .
We followed the "How to Handle Inventory "Doc with the proper sequence of Loading of Infosources and Compression.The data is sitting fine at the cube level.
It would be great if someone can throw some Light on this issue,on how the Query shows a COMBO of both Valuated stock and Storage Location stock....Held up with this issue for quite sometime..Had a look at the   Oss Note (589024)...........

In Inventory we have two quantity fields given to satisfy the requirement.
Valuated stock Qty - 0VALSTCKQTY
Storage Location qty - 0TOTALSTCK
You can make use of them based on your requirement. Hope this helps for you.

Modifying an instance of a crystal report and set it a filter from a profil

What we do:

We create publication and schedule them to user after doing a single pass bursting ( crystal report)
When a user login and access his report that has been filtered by his instance, he is able to look only at his data.
Notes that the crystal report has been filtered on the field Medical center.
Notes that this crystal report has 2 parameter one for the medical cetner and another one for the date range
Also when we ran the publication for all the users, we do set the parameter base on the medical cetner to the value ALL
The issue is that when this end user refresh the report then instead of getting data only for his medical center , then he is getting data for all the medical center.
As you can see the profile that has been created on the user doesn't kick in when refreshing an instance of a report coming out of a publication.
What we would like to achiave thru sdk:

We would like the end user to open this report and being able to refresh it only within the medical center he belongs to .
So when the user refresh ther port he should only see data for his medical center
Questions:

1 - is is possible to achiove this thru sdk ? In 3,1
2 - how long would it takes ? ( range)

There are two ways to filter the data. You could set the record selection formula for the report through code so that the data is filtered, parameters could be used as an additional filter. The second is to design the report off a universe and setup row level security so that users only have access to certain data.
