USB 2.0 driver needed for Zen Touch 20

Iam a Linux user and seem to have read that special drivers are necessary for the Zen to be recognized (on Windows, obviously). That is not how USB is supposed to work. Can anyone confirm that special software must be used for any USB aware computer to recognize the Zen?

I didn't really understand your question but I hope this clears out any doubt you have. I use both OS's Linux and Windows. Under linux I managed to use my zen touch by installing the gnomad application. I didn't had to install anything else to use it, I was using suse and before installing gnomad all the hardware drivers were already installed by suse. In windows the only thing I had to install were the drivers that came with the zen touch's cd or the one available at the download section. to be able to transfer data to it you will need to install the nomad explorer, for music you can either use window media player 0 or nomad explorer. Besides that nothing else is needed to be installed. There has been some post complaining about some usb adapters not being able to detect the zen touch, what SSR recommends (and me too) is that you install the latest drivers for your motherboard and if it still doesn't work buy a PCI usb 2.0 adapter. Hi, ich denke mal, ich kann dir auch in deutsch antworten.
also von dem link oben aus, w?hlst du erst mal mp3 player, dann zen und schlie?lich zen touch. auf der n?chsten seite kannst du dann dein betriebssytem ausw?hlen (sprache ist egal) und w?hlst dann noch driver aus. dann hast du auf der n?chsten seite nur eine datei zur auswahl, n?mlich den aktuellen treiber f?r windows xp f?r einen zen touch mit der alten V. Firmware. Dann m?te WIndows den Player erkennen. Zum Transfer von Musikdateien, empfehle ich dir dann noch den Nomad Explorer runterzuladen, den w?rdest du dann finden, wenn du oben anstatt driver, application ausw?hlst. Der macht das ?berspielen und verwalten der Musikdateien einfacher.
Ansonsten besteht auch noch die M?glichkeit, die Firmware des Players upzudaten, auf die V.2 mit der Playsforsure F?higkeit. Dann reicht es, wenn auf einem Computer XP und der Mediaplayer 0 installiert sind. Ein Treiber w?re dann nicht mehr n?tig.
Ich empfehle dir allerdings, erst mal die treibervariante auszuprobieren, da das update nicht mehr r?ckgangig zu machen ist, und wenn du mit der alten variante zufrieden bist, ein update nicht zwingend n?tig ist.

You can use pretty much any jdbc driver, including type 2 and type 4.
You need to make sure your shared libraries needed by the driver are available to the appserver when you boot.
Other than that, it is no different than configuring any other driver.

Hp hs2434 windows 7 driver needed for dm1 4310nr

Hi all,
I recently formatted my dm1 4310nr from windows 8 to windows 7. I went to the driver page for the dm1 and it had the Ericsson HP hs2320/hs2330/lc2000/lc2010/hs2340 drivers for win7/8, but not the HP hs2434 drivers.

You don't need monitor drivers, the operating system runs it natively (plug'n'play).
What Photoshop is requesting is an updated video card driver. Not that Photoshop won't work without it, but some (minor) features may be disabled.

Win7 64bit Drivers needed for pavilion touch laptop

I have just bought a HP pavilion touchsmart 14-n056ea that came with windows 8. I am using it for work and they have given me a windows 7 pro 64bit OS to use instead as it works better with their systems. i have formatted the drive and installed the win7 OS now but the drivers online are only for windows 8. Which Media Explorer version do i need for Zen Micro 5gb with Firmware 2.20.

Same old story, been trying for hours and hours to transfer music onto the player. Searching forums for answers.

I have tried installing Creative Zen Micro Media Explorer Web Update (48.24 MB) but it doesn't recognise my player is plugged in.

Also tried installing Creative MediaSource Plugin for PlaysForSure devices (version .00.8) (23.98 MB) but Win Media Player 0 still doesn't recognise the player.

Should i bother installing software/drivers from the original CD i got? Or download them instead? Which do i need to download? Do i need to change the firmware?

I know these questions have been asked thousands of times, but all the answers i have read don't seem to be doing the trick.

Hurrah, i FINALLY got it working.
Installed drivers/software from original cd.
Downloaded/installed the Creative MediaSource Plugin for PlaysForSure devices (version .00.8) (23.98 MB) and managed to get the 'sync' feature working in WMP0.
Downloaded/installed Creative Zen Micro Media Explorer Web Update (48.24 MB) but it wasn't detecting my Zen.
Went into Device Manager and firstly uninstalled the MTP Device under Windows Portable Devices.
Connected Zen again, went into Device Manager again, right clicked on the MTP device and clicked on Update Driver.
The Zen Micro Media Explorer Web Update then detected my device and installed.

I know it's been a while since we last talked about this issue. Well apparently, I do have OS freezing problems
with 9.2 and the ATI 9000 Mac Pro - take a look:

But can I put your driver in the system while it's still functioning with the older OEM video card back in?

Lenovo G50-45 why is no USB 3.0 driver listed for this model

I started a clean boot of Windows 7 x64 from USB as I'm not a fan of Windows 8 but since installing I've been unable to get the USB 3.0 port to recognize anything I plug in (was working fine before).
I can't see a USB 3.0 driver listed on the support page for this model:

I've also read similar problems have occured on other manufacturers laptops and this was fixed by installing the chipset drivers etc in the correct order.
Is there a correct order I should adhere to?

I am having the exact same issue on my 2013 MBPr.
I have two Seagate GoFlex USB 3.0s, one plugged into the regular 3.0 port (450MB/s) on the left and the other plugged into the high-speed (5GB/s) 3.0 port on the right. When doing a simple copy/paste from the one drive to the other, I observe the following speeds:
Peak Read (USB 3.0): 36.2Mb/s (288Mbit/s)
Peak Write (USB-HS 3.0): 48.7Mb/s (384Mbit/s)
This is far below the 620MB/s for 3.0 and is more around the 35MB/s USB 2.0 standard.
So, I'm likely to agree with the original compaintant that the 3.0 standards aren't being employed by the MacOSX USB drivers and I'd hope to see a fix soon for these issues lest people start moving off of the Mac platforms to other vendors who adhere to industry guidelines.

USB 1.1 & Protected WMA on Zen Touch quest

Im thinkin about getting a Zen Touch and i have a couple of questions.
The first im sure i can get an easy yes to, does zen touch support usb .
The second however, is a question that i often find avoided on sites and put in fine print.
Many companies advertise supporting WMA format, but not the protected WMA format that music stores such as Musicmatch sell.
My question obviously, is does the Zen Touch player support protected WMA files that i download from Musicmatch?

'Yes' to all three questions:
USB . compatible - yes.
Can play WMA protected DRM - fairly certain it does, but I've never used it myself - anyone want to confirm?
Shuffle all - yes - there's a button the front labelled 'random' which shuffles all the tracks on the player.

CanoScan 88))F driver needed for Snow Leopard

I need a Driver for the Canon CanoScan 8800F. It does not work with the system. I checked ith Caon and there isn't a driver for it. Does anyone know how to fix it?

Looking at the Canon Australia web site, there is a version 13.9.1 driver posted for the CS8800F that quotes 10.6 as being supported.

I have looked pretty much everywhere to get some idea. I have seen it discussed, but with no real answer. It would be really nice ( respectfully) to know just ... IF... it was coming. Either way. And then a ball park.
This is a really nice unit , but I want one Audible ready that is EXACTLY like the Touch. If I just knew if it was coming, I would be free to buy another elsewhere. I totally love the Zen Nano Plus line and will just have to settle with those. I mainly use Audible, and Old Time Radio etc, Art Bell streams etc.

I have Lenovo T400 that works perfectly. Had Win-7 Ultimate dual-booting with new install of Linux Mint 9 (Isadora). Decided to delete Win-7 Ultimate.
Linux Mint OS 9 fully confiqured and running nicely recognizing all hardware except FingerPrint and Webcam device.
The Fingerprint device is cool, but would like Webcam Device Driver.
Is there a Webcam driver available for the Lenovo T400? If so, please reply,

You will see the device ID code for your camera. Here is mine on ThinkPad Edge: 04f2:b1cf
You can then do a google search for "Linux web cam xxxx:xxxx" compatibility. It is likely that the driver is already loaded because of the auto detect function of the kernel scripts.
You can check that in a terminal as your user:

Look for modules: v4l1_compat, videodev, uvcvideo.

I have lost my USB cable and was wondering if all creative products deal with the same typ e of USB connection because I have looked for a replacement and only found ones that were compatible with such creative players as zen xtra or zen nx

Any USB A to mini B cable should work. IF you have a digital camera, you may already have one.
