USB Connection issue, power coming in but no responce. Can anyone help?

Hi there, I hope some one can help me.
I'm currently running a mac pro 4,1 and I'm experiencing an issue where one of my USB ports is not responsive.
It seems to recieve power but no data or information can be transported. My midi keyboard/piano is currently connected to this port and the lights come on.
Before somone says it is the driver, I have attempted to plugin in several different connections to this socket, my keyboard, an audio interface USB stick and mouse. Nothing works. Restarting didnt work and reseting the Pram didnt work either. I also tried to do a hardware check but that didnt seem to work.
Here are my current specs of my Mac.
Mac Pro 4,1
OSX Version 10.9.2
2.66 GHz Quad Core Intel Xeon
16GB 1066 MHz DDR3
Is there a way I can get the drivers to reinstall without rebooting the whole system?
I cant find my old installer CD's that came with the box.
Any kind of insight would be greatly appreciated.

you can try and change a few wireless settings ....in the routers wireless section....go to the advanced wireless settings.....here you can reduce the beacon interval to 50...also reduce the RTS and Fragmentation by 40 each.....

Please do 2-3 SMC and PRAM resets back to back and retest. Also use new cables, they can go bad.

Try to backup and restore you device in itunes...restoring the device is like removing the iOS software off the device and re-add in a newer software, after you have restore you device, MAKE SURE YOU SET UP YOUR DEVICE LIKE A NEW DEVICE, DONT NOT RESTORE FROM BACKUP!!... give the device a chance to use the newer software and see if the issue still persisting, if the issue still on going then its would be a hardware issue.
Call Apple Care and see if your device is still under warranty to get it replace

When you say reset, do you mean a reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears, ignoring the red slider if it appears?

Error 1604: This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, uninstalling and reinstalling USB ports, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections, device not recognized properly, computer won't recognize a FireWire or USB device). If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for error 1604.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while iPhone remains connected.
iPhone should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

iOS: Wi-Fi or Bluetooth settings grayed out or dim
Otherwise
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router.
- Reset networks settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
Not the the 2G can only see/connec to the b and g wifi bands. It does not see any n band networks.

It is up to the content owner as to when, and if, specific content is available on itunes (or any outlet for that matter). Very often a network or production compnat willhave exclusive deals with streaming outlets for a period of time before a seaon of a series is available elsewhere.
I can't speak to most of the shows you reference, but in the case of The Americans, there has only been one season so far. Season two isn't schedule for broadcast until February of next year.

I am running 10.5.2 from a USB, I need to mount my internal hard drive, can anyone help me?

Hi everybody. My imac suddenly died on me. It couldn't start, right after the apple sign appeared, an interrogation sign showed. I ran the disk utility, and the problem was that the internal hard drive was not mounted. I installed the 10.5.2 (the one it came with the imac) in a USB flash drive, which I am running now. Is it possible to mount my internal drive so I can back up my data? (I know should back my data up regularly, but I didn't). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I suspect a failed HD, in that case I'd recommend Apple Hardware Test in Extended Mode at least 3x. You will need the original install discs that shipped with the computer, if you do not have them any longer you will need to order a replacement set from Apple by calling AppleCare. You will need a credit card and the serial number of the machine. The cost should be nominal.

When I try to format an external hard drive for Mac it keeps coming up as 'error'. Can anyone help me?

I've followed the instructions on the online tutorial but when it is trying to erase the data it comes up with 'volume erase failed, could not unmount disk'.

FAT works great, but the problem is that it's old and that you can't store files that are bigger than 4 GB. In this case, you have exFAT, a filesystem compatible with OS X and Windows, but I don't think that the TV will read it.
If you want to use NTFS, you need a third-party application to be able to write in it on OS X, like Paragon NTFS
