USB connection Lumia 620 and Peugeot 5008

Hello,
my Lumia 620 is not recognized by my Peugeot 5008. The display of the car reports : fault USB device. Because the phone is not recognized, it will not charge either. My phone is equiped with 32 Gb SD card (removing the card is no option because my navigation data and music is installed on the SD card). I have been to the garage to check the USB software of the car. This was the latest available. Can anybody help? Must Nokia change the 'authentication' of the phone or must Peugeot update there USB software? The Peugeot dealer told be there were more problems , also with HTC phones. Please help...
PS: connecting the phone to the USB of a laptop will charge the battery. For the time being I have a USB sigaret charger which also works.

I recently brought Nokia lumia 620 , My first impression was very bad i was not able to connect to another mobile Samsung note2 mobile over blutooth
I was able to pair and connect 620 mobile with Note 2
But the connection stays just 2 seconds .. Dont give some reply that it wont work with other phones..
Please create a phone OS which is userfriendly and stop giving ad on paper and TV that windows 8 phone is awesome...
If you claim Windows 8 is awesome then please make basic features of usage like file transfer over bluetooth very simple..
THis OS not even support bulk files transfer also ... I know this is not very tough for a company like Microsoft to incorportate in these phones..
I see many people commenting here that there phone just stays connected with other device just 3 seconds . But instead of giving reply that works i see all irrevelant details..

The Nokia Lumia page only mentions microSD and doesn't detail if it supports the UHS format.

We understand what you are asking, it's just that the Class10 UHS-I specs are way beyond what is required for the purpose of the SD card in a mobile phone and so it would stand to reason Nokia does not design the interface to take this spec into account, if only for the added cost to the device. Also the MicroSD 'standard' is far from that (a standard) and there is plenty of variation..
In general a regular Class 6 microSD card will be able to deal with anything you can throw at it, with room to spare, when used in the 620 so anything above that would be overkill and would only mean you are wasting money on a more expensive card that may or may not work.

Hi guys, I am new to this forum. I am planning to buy a SDcard for my lumia 620. I am getting vague reviews about class 10 support with 620. Its working for some and not working for few. Kindly help me out. I know class 6 is prefered for my kind of device but in my region, class 6 and 10 costs both same, so going for class 10.

TS3716 Help! My iPod touch won't connect to itunes, but it shows usb connecting to itunes and it doesn't connect to itunes.

I was updating IOS 6.1.3, my iPod touch 5th generation crashed and it showed The image: USB connecting to iTunes LOGO. I waited along time but nothing happeded. Is it in recovery mode or something? I don't know. Please help. Even I plugged in my USB to my pc it doesn't work! It shows nothing but in my iPod touch it shows the USB connecting to ITUNES.

USB connection - lumia 1520

My LUMIA 1520 fails to connect to my laptop. In all attempts to use Nokia PC Suite to get connected, my laptop report "Your phone is in file transfer mode and cannot be used with PC Suite. Quit file transfer mode from the phone if you want to use the phone with PC Suite." THIS HAS NOT BEEN POSSIBLE. I NEED HELP ON THIS.

Yes, @farby is right. Your Lumia 1520 phone is not compatible with any of the Nokia PC Suite or even Nokia Suite. If you wish to transfer your files to your PC you may use the Windows Phone app for desktop. Check out this link: http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/how-to/wp8/windows-phone-app-for-desktop.

Lumia 620 and MMS

Is there any fix for the MMS issues with unlocked phones, please? I'm aware there is an app, but it doesn't work on W8 and I can't find anything that suggests a fix is coming anytime soon.
I really like the phone, and W8, but this is a real deal breaker for me and the phone will be going back to the shop if I can't find a solution.

Unless your carrier (which?) uses some non standard format for MMS (some do) all you should need is settings>access point. Opening this you should see your carriers name and you can tap it to activate if required. Also you can enter the settings, you should be able to find them on the carriers website, manually here
Some carriers like VIrgin UK have a bit of a specific way of configuring. There is a thread here about that, I suggest you do a search for it if you need those...

Lumia 620 and other storage problem

I own a L620 and I'm having a lot of problems with the "Other" storage. Currenty it is occupying 2GB. I have reflash it and hard reset it a lot of times but it always keep growing...
Is there any fix? What can I do?
I'm thinking in but another mobile phone because of this...

Have you tried copying many files to the intrenal storage? this should make the phone release space from other storage and once freed it will remain so. After this you can simply remove the files you copied.
Otherwise a reset would be the only thing I can think of. This is an OS issue and it's MSFT who will (and should) be fixing this.

I have a lumia 620 and have set up email with my yahoo account - it can sync and recieve emails fine but if i try to send or reply to emails it comes up with "you need to update your account settings" anyone got any ideas? account name and password are correct so i just cant understand it

iSync itself is only for syncing Contacts and Calendars to non-Apple mobile phones via a USB or Bluetooth connection. However the iSync application does provide access to a couple of settings that affect system-wide syncing.
To turn on the Sync menu, open iSync's Preferences, and then check the *Show status in menu bar* option

I've just bought a new unlocked lumia 620 and its great. APART from the fact that I cant open settings. After completing the initial setup, I cant open settings, and when I shut down the phone, it gets stuck on the goodbye screen and I have to take the battery out! Any ideas?

Hi, just my dother get 620 as well and same problems, all others working well but when try to open setups, it will show empty screen and then coome back basic view.
when switch off , goodbye text will keep on screen long long time and need to open phone and take battery away and put it back, after that when swithc phone on again , same problem....
So looks that there is some kind of problem with SW, same problems as earlier with Symbian phones, HW is ok, but software never.......
Do i need send this back for retailer or contact to Nokia service and they will flash it again?

Lumia 620 randomly freezes and reboots

I knew a cheap windows phone is too good to be true. I've been getting random freezes and reboots without any reason at all. This is unacceptable, nokia should address this windows 8 issue afflicting wp 8 phones. Please don't tell be to do a soft or hard reset because we already know it won't fix the problem.

Hi, everyone. I've been having problems with random reboots ever since I bought my Lumia 620 and it was driving me crazy. It freezes up sporadically too, but I think I found a fix for rebooting issues.
When my cousin bought her Lumia 620 I immediately asked her if hers rebooted sporadically as well. She said it hadn't, not once. Then, one time her battery was dying so I gave her mine, and she left me with her battery and on charger while she went home. Anyway, hers started to reboot frequently, whilst mine was behaving ok.
When we replaced the batteries again, mine began rebooting again.
Finally, I checked both our batteries and found out mine was moving around the device more freely than hers. Hers was held firmly in place while mine danced around. Then I tried moderate, yet gentle tap on the side of my device and it rebooted EVERY TIME I tapped it. After I inserted a small, neatly folded piece of paper between the device and the battery, the battery clicked in place tightly and it couldn't move at all. Reboots stopped, no matter how strong I tapped the sides of the device.
This hasn't resolved any freezes, but at least it's not rebooting all the time. So check your battery, maybe it is a hairline thinner or smaller or whatnot from the rest of them and it can move around. A millisecond is enough for it to lose contact, half a millimeter of movement is enough to cause your phone to reboot. Hope this revelation of mine will help someone

In Windows 7 64-bit Bootcamp 5 my USB connected mouse intermittently clicks the left-button without my input. How do I fix?

Some details:
-I've tried with two different mice, one cordless USB connected, one corded and both had the problem.
-A reboot of the system usually fixes the problem for awhile.
-I tried downloading the updated drivers (5.0.5033) but get an error message when trying to install ("Bootcamp x64 is unsupported on this computer model") and I'm not even sure if the drivers will fix the issue anyway

HELP - My new Nokia Lumia 620 won't boot up, even ...

I'm worried my Nokia Lumia 620 is a lemon, and the Care Centre will just keep taking it in for repair. The reliability so far has been disappointing, especially as I was giving Nokia a try after a 10 year break, and also trying out Windows Mobile / Phone after a 6 year break. I want to recommend it - I'm continually being asked by friends and colleagues what I think of my new phone.   Nokia will be smart to just replace it.
The details: my Nokia Lumia 620 won't boot up today (again). It hung on boot this morning with the Nokia Logo. That was over 2 hours ago. It had this problem during February, and I returned it twice for repair to the local Nokia Care Centre. I guess I'll take it in again later today, but it just feels like a lemon handset so far.
Timeline:
Handset purchased in local Nokia Store on Jan 29 2013 ( 7 weeks ago)
Handset gave "Exclamation-Mark-Screen-of-Death" on Feb 19 2013 (3 weeks old handset)
Local Nokia Store sent me to local Nokia Care Centre, handed in overnight "for repair"
Phone returned on Feb-20-2013 after software refresh.
Worked fine for 1 week.   Problem returned Feb 26 2013. (4 week old handset)
Nokia Care Centre "replaced motherboard" on Feb 27 2013.
Has worked fine for 3 weeks.   Now Lumia 620 won't boot this morning - no Exclamation Mark, instead it's the Nokia Logo on boot.
The handset is 7 weeks old.
Hard reset (side-button-combination) hasn't worked either.
Any advice on getting this working, repaired or replaced?

Update on the repair - it didn't work. I returned the phone to the Yau Ma Tei Nokia Care Centre on March 20th, and was given what was termed a 'replacement' phone. I was pretty happy. All was well. But two days later when I tried to make a phone call using my headphones, I noticed that only the left audio channel was working through the earphones. I tried a second pair of earphones and the same problem. The audio was only working through the left channel. On a new phone. How strange.
So was it really new? My suspicion is that the repair centre has used old returned parts (parts they perhaps term as refurbished) - so in fact my replacement phone is my old phone assembled with old and refurbished parts. Was it in fact a refurbished phone assembled from refurbished parts? Frustrating when they tell me it's a replacement phone.
That was back in late March. I posted a couple of tweets and Nokia responded. They even phoned me to try and help. However no offer of a new phone. All they suggested was that I revisit the Nokia Service Centre. For a 4th time.
That was about 6 weeks ago, and I simply haven't made the time to go to the Service Centre again. It's hard to find the time when my last 3 visits have been so unsuccessful.
Sometimes you just get a lemon. It happened to me once before with a different manufacturer when I was on a contract and had to live with a phone for 2 years that kept cutting out during calls. Same problem - the manufacturer attempted to repair it, but it just never worked properly. That was 10 years ago. Now it's happening with my new Nokia. Luckily I'm not on contract this time. I've read good reviews for the Lumia 620, and overall it's a pretty decent handset in every other way.
But the issues this particular handset has been plagued with has overshadowed any positive feelings I have been having. I'll probably be cutting my losses and changing handsets in the summer.
