IPOD touch 4 also not showing up in ITUNES

Just fixed my ipod nano problem on my own and figured I'd share as I have just spent the last 4 hours trying to trouble shoot all of Apple's problems...following everyone's tips...nothing worked until I figured it out on my own.
I'm running windows 7 and have an Ipod Nano (6th Gen). Hard drive crashed on computer. Replaced HD. Everything works fine now. Downloaded iTunes along with all other programs. Nano wouldn't show up or sync on iTunes. Said Device Driver Software was not successfully installed (some USB problems). Tried everything. Finally, I figured it out.
Disconnect Nano. Uninstall iTunes AS WELL AS
Apple Application Support, Apple Mobile Device Support, and Apple Software Update. Apple only
tells you to uninstall iTunes and reinstall..restart computer bla bla bla. I said screw it and uninstalled all Apple programs (well, the listed ones above). I hooked up my nano to my computer to make sure the device manager recognized it without anything else plugged in...and it did. I unplugged it. Reinstall iTunes and all three other Apple programs listed above will also reinstall. I opened iTunes and plugged in my nano. It started with the "installing device driver software" and I was sure
it wasn't going to work. Well, it did work. My nano showed up in the upper right bar of iTunes and synced. Unreal... I unplugged my nano and plugged in the wife's. Once again, "installing device driver software." Voila! Her's showed up and synced too. I plugged mine back it to make sure it worked and it did. I'm done. It's working. Hope these steps work for you as well.

Hi, I was able to reformat my iPod and that worked. I read it on one of the threads and I am copy pasting the method below:
I opened the "My Computer" window and right-clicked on my ipod, and then selected "Format". I select "Yes" to format since I don't have anything on the nano to delete anymore.
I then Eject my nano from the computer and did a restart while the nano is disconnected from the computer.
Once Windows finish loading I reconnect the USB to the nano(back of computer) which automatically pulls up iTune. It asked me to name the new ipod detected and created a playlist for that specific ipod name.

This has nothing to do with Mozilla Firefox. Device drivers are with usb drivers most of the time.

Can't Sync after IOS5 Upgrade - Device driver software was not successfully installed

I upgraded to OS5 and now can't sync. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and rebooting and still get an error saying Apple Mobile Device USB Driver was not successfully installed. This is on Windows7 64bit Anyone else had this problem?

I am still having issues completing a sync with my iPhone4 regardless of which USB port I use. I started the upgrade to iOS5 and the update to the phone completed. However, I am unable to get the phone to sync to load all of my apps to the phone. I have tried unstalling and reinstalling iTunes, including deleting any files which may have been missed by the uninstall. I have repeated this process over 5 times using IE, Chrome and Firefox just to make sure it was not a driver issue. Every time, when I connect the iPhone, I get the message it is installing the device driver for iPhone, following by the error mssage "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver Failed" Does anyone out there have any ideas?

IPod Nano 8G - Win7 - Device driver software wat not successfully installed

Just got my first Apple iPod Nano 8G (4th) and has installed iTune 9.0.2 (64bit) on my Win 7 Ultimate x64. But I am not able to connect iPod nor Sync with iTune successfully even after reinstall/reboot many times with the same problem.
After the installation of iTune accomplished, I plug USB adapter into PC, then Win7 detected and started to install the driver for the hardware, but got "Device driver software wat not successfully installed" as a result.
Then I went to Device Manager tring to install the driver manually for "Apple iPod USB Driver", but finally I failed again and got "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device....", I think this is the software problem, please kindly advise, thanks a lot!

First, my officejet 4500 all-in-one installed and is working perfectly with wireless; however, I have for months still/have been getting the error/uninstall window continuously, telling me install was not successful, but again, printer, scanner, etc., working fine! But this "the installation was not successful" window is ALWAYS up or if I ctrl-alt-del and get it to end now, it comes back up; I have even let it do its thing, finish, restart, but it ALWAYS comes back up, trying to find a solution, etc. BUT MY PRINTER IS WORKING FINE! Please help me get rid of this; also, the file that it puts on desktop to troubleshoot, etc then delete afterward, I have deleted it, but this "unsuccessful" keeps trying to uninstall, reinstall; and as I said, actually went through all the steps to get it gone (printer working fine) but it will not go away! Reinstall OS X in case you had a bad download or install on your previous try. Then test to see if the problem is fixed.
If you need to post back for other ideas, please tell us which specific Mac and Mac OS X version you are using. Also verify your camera's model number. The only one I could find by searching Canon's web site that is close to your "canon powershot SX2210 IS" is Canon PowerShot SX210 IS.

Seems like iTunes is not successfully installed in my laptop.
It says that iTunes was successfully installed but the truth is there are no folders made in installing iTunes, even the icon in my desktop.

I think you have only to reinstall the driver for the notebook. You can download the driver on the Toshiba page or alternative from European Toshiba WLAN portal: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan
The driver for Realtek 8192 WLAN card is Windows 7 compatible so it should work normally. Just start the setup.exe file and follow the screen instructions. After restarting your WLAN card should work again.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if one component won't install normally.
If needs be, the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility (MS Installer "Fixit") may be able to help force through the installation.

Curve 8900 Device Software for Rogers - CORRUPT INSTALL FILE

Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone else ran into this issue (if there's some Rogers BlackBerry people on this board). I tried downloading and running the device software for Rogers off the BlackBerry site and during the installation, I came across the following error:
"Error 1335. The cabinet file 'Data1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a netowkr error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package."
When I try clicking ignore, I get this message:
"Error 2350. FDI server error"
I wish I was good enough to know what this means, but I'm completely lost here. I've tried installing this on two computers (XP Home SP2) and Vista, both give me the same problem.
I get the feeling there may be an issue with the software on the site. Could anyone else confirm this or have an idea of what to do?

Most of the CS6 (Windows) elements did not successfully install. Now what?

Message this morning that Adobe updates needed to be installed on my work laptop. But after the process, the "Update Complete" message indicated that only 3 of the 14 updates had successfully installed. "Some components of the following products could not be updated successfully." The error log provided no detailed information as to why. So now what's my next step to complete all the updates?

Run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool, reinstall the programs, try again.
