USB dies with AudioAuthority VGA- Component box?

I'm trying to get an EDTV plasma to work with an iMac G5 1.8. I am using a MiniVGA->VGA and AudioAuthority VGA->Component box to get the signal to the TV.
If I connect the to the AudioAuthority box, the USB mouse and keyboard "die". The light on the USB mouse goes out as if it was not plugged in.
Disconnect the box, and USB's back to normal.
I can connect to other VGA displays (like a projector or CRT) without the USB dying in this way. It's only the AudioAuthority box that seems to be an issue.
Any ideas?

We figured it out.
It looks like the problem iscaused by the male-male VGA cable that came with the Audio Authority converter.
I tried using a male-male VGA cable we had lying around and it worked without the USB issues.
The cable was for a KVM, and was missing one of the pins... so I'm not sure if this works because the pin-count's different, or if the AA cable was faulty to begin with.

    Hi akhil,
In lines to what Simona has said, I would like to mention that SAP MDM is a different tool altogether and functions out of the box with SABP BI.
Talking a bit about the integration scenarios, SAP MDM SP04 is integrated with SAP BI 3.5 as two different tools where MDM behaves as a different tool altogether and imports the data from BI and cleanses it and then syndicates it back to BI.
In the latest integration scenario, some part of MDM can be handled from Bi itself. i.e. We can connect to the MDM SP05 Repository from BI 7.0. But still the data cleansing, deduplication is exclusively done in MDM. Hence MDM works out of the box with SAP Bi component.

  • Both xp and windows 7 have video problems with my VGA connection using TV

both xp and windows 7 have video problems with my VGA connection using TV as my monitor when it gets to starting up windows no matter what version it will not I have let my mac on all night and still says starting windows or the windows 7 logo and nothing else will happen also when I use a 3rd patty software like peraills or other it works like a charm how to fix it?

To map the drive on your computer click on Start - RUN - type "\\192.168.1.1" and click ok... When prompted for Username and Password type "admin" and click ok... Now you will be able to see the folder which you have shared on  your router, right click on it and select "Map network drive" and click on finish.
Now it will map the drive on your computer and you should be able to transfer the file from your computer to the USB drive.

  • Using Thinkpad Trackpoint USB Keyboard with MacBook Pro, Air, Retina (with pictures)

Using Thinkpad Trackpoint USB Keyboard with MacBook Pro, Air, Retina (with pictures)
The purpose of this discussion thread is to:
    (1) Get community thoughts around using alternative and complimentary mousing approaches with MacBooks
    (2) To share a current and searchable set of resources for those interested in leveraging a best-of-both-worlds approach for using a non-Apple Trackpoint Keyboard with an Apple MacBook.
    (3) To level-set the fact that a Thinkpad Trackpoint USB Keyboard works with MacBooks automatically and instantly out-of-the-box.
Note: I created this discussion because I found that all the other discussion threads related to using a Thinkpad Trackpoint Keyboard with MacBooks were archived and therefore I could not post my thoughts there.
I have been using MacBooks for 3+ years now.  Airs, Pros, Retinas etc.  I LOVE the built-in MacBook Apple Trackpad.  It is wonderful.  Apple has no equal as far as Trackpads go.
In addition, I have been using the Thinkpad Trackpoint USB Keyboard with my MacBooks for ~2 years, and below is why I have found BOTH the Apple Trackpad and Thinkpad Trackpoint to be great.
The Trackpoint and Trackpad both have their sweet spots.  Personally I use the built-in Apple Trackpad on my MacBooks when I'm using my MacBook for less than 1 hour, loosely speaking.  If I am going to be heads-down for more than 1 hr writing, reading, surfing, graphic designing, programming, workshop facilitating, teaching, mindmapping, presenting, demoing, etc. then I pull out my "Lenovo Thinkpad USB Keyboard with Trackpoint (55Y9003) > https://www.google.com/search?&q=lenovo+thinkpad+trackpoint+usb+keyboard
I know many will laugh at me for using a Thinkpad Trackpoint Keyboard with a MacBook...  Keeping an open mind, let's just agree that there is historical precedence for alternative mousing devices.  If I could only choose one, I would use the Apple MacBook built-in Trackpad exclusively, however with alternatives come potential benefits.  Keep in mind that Apple, Microsoft, Logitech and many other companies make millions of dollars each year providing alternative peripheral devices for computers, and mousing is no exception.  Regardless, I just want to share my positive experiences using both. :-)
Why should you care?  For *some* people the following is true and meaningful.  The Trackpoint (the little red eraser head stick thingy) in the midle of the keyboard enables useful and unique dynamics/use-cases, including:
You don't have to take your hand(s) off the keyboard to mouse
You can independantly click without accidentally moving the mouse (Yes I know some people don't have issues with this)
You don't run out of finger-gesture runway when you're moving your mouse across the screen (I know this is a gray area for some people)
For mouse-movement-heavy applications (e.g. Graphics, drawing, etc.) the Trackpoint *is at times* more exacting
Below I share some pictures (which I know *look* ridiculous to some people, but none-the-less help demystify what this looks like.  And, while ridiculous looking, it is actually quite thin and elegant once you get over the initial shock of seeing these two diverse technologies combined in this way.
Rest assured, the keyboard shown below (google "55Y9003") is VERY light, thin and fits in almost any laptop case/backpack easily so it is not a big deal to carry it, if you work on-the-go.  In addition:
It is UNCANNY how well it fits on top of the keyboard space of all MacBooks.
It fits perfectly around the corners of the MacBook Pro/Air/Retina keyboard
Note: I took one of the 5 rubber feet/pads off the bottom of my keyboard, the one in the middle
Lastly, you can actually use the built-in Apple Trackpad at the SAME TIME as the Trackpoint Keyboard.
It is quite a nice best-of-both-worlds approach for people that like the benefits of the "Why should you care?" use cases above.
Please reply and comment with your thoughts and please let's keep it positive, constructive and friendly :-)
    Pictures Below:
My two Retina MBPs, one with and one without the keyboard, so you can easily see the difference.  (As if you wouldn't)
A slightly closer-up shot of just the RMBP with the Trackpoint Keyboard on top
Please reply and comment with your thoughts and please let's keep it positive, constructive and friendly :-)

Newer Bluetooth version of the ThinkPad External Trackpoint Keyboard available...
The new version is smaller, so you can use your MacBook Trackpad at the same time as your Trackpoint keyboard.
    Here is the Lenovo model/Part Number# 0B47190
Here is a picture of what it looks like:
Note: Just like the older larger USB model keyboard, there is a rubbery footpad in the middle of the bottom of the keyboard that I just peeled off.  Otherwise, it makes the "H" key press accidentally under-neath the keyboard.  Once I took that off, it fit perfectly over and around the built-in MacBook keyboard, so I can optionally put it on top of my MacBook for easy typing. :-)

  • Making a Jpeg gallery with the Loader component...

I'm trying to make a gallery using many loader component
thumbnail photos that present their larger image in a different
(loader component) box when rolling over with my cursor...Is this
right? Is there an easier way I can do this?
If I can do it this way easily, I'd like to. PLEASE, if
anybody has the answer let me know, thank you.

This sounds right. The nice thing is that you can replicate
the loader component and give it various instance names and just
point each one to its photo in your ActionScript.

  • Is there a difference between the Lightning to USB included with an iPhone 5 and the one sold separately?

I recently purchased 2 iPhone 5's and two Lightning to USB cables in addition to the ones that came with the phones.  We tried to use the first L to USB with the power adapter and it wouldn't work.  Then today I tried to use the second L to USB in my macbook pro and it came up with the USB too much power error, so I tried to use it with the power adapter and it wouldn't charge.  So I got the L to USB that came in the phone box and it works with my laptop and the power adapter?  It just seems weird that 2 out of 2 cables wouldn't work.
    Items used:
    MacBook Pro 17" Mid 2010
    iPhone 5 (2 different ones)
Lightning to USB Cable (sold separate) (2 different ones)
Lightning to USB Cable (included in phone box)
    iMac
5V USB Power adapter (2 different ones)

You need a pair of good cables, period. When I got my i5 and seeing what a battery hog it is, immediately got a second Lightning cable from an Apple Dealer. Both that and the one in the box have worked flawlessly.
So yeah, you've got excellent arguments for demanding a good working set. The fact that one gives the dread "too much power" issue is indicative of an internal short or damage.

  • Stumped with a custom component. Can anyone help?

I'm working on a component that I would like to have 3 dream levels plus limbo.
Oh wait, sorry...I'm mixed up. Though I do feel my issue is equally contrived and at times, frustrating to wrap my head around.
What I REALLY would like, is to make a custom component that does indeed have 3 levels, and I'm having issues with mouseover. My goal, Is to have a menu of several items, each a custom component. When a component is clicked, it "opens" into a similar menu of additional components, which in turn can be hovered over to display an image. That seems to be the easy part.
I have created each second level item (blue), that upon mouseover displays an image (green). I have combined all of those into a single custom component, (red) and made individual states for the overall component that 1) displays ONLY the red button and 2) displays the blue components with the red component disabled.
What I can't figure out is how to make ONLY the (red) item appear for mouseover and click when in the top state. What is happening at the moment is that as far as the browser is concerned, the entire component is the mouseover area. This makes it impossible to put multiple (red) items next to each other.
I've tried making the (blue) and (green) components hidden and/or disabled, but it does not seem to effect the problem. I can't make those items not "accept mouseover" because the (blue) items are in turn supposed to be buttons used to display the end (green) image.
Does anyone know what I can do to solve this problem? I hope I was able to describe the situation well enough. Like I said....it's kind of stupid and contrived.

WELL. After typing that whole deal out, I seem to have come across the solution myself, and it's ridiculously simple, and makes me feel the same for not figuring it out right away.
Much like everything else in Catalyst, the "accepts mouse events" can be changed for the same object in different states. So what you do is uncheck the "accepts..." box for each item while in the top state, and check it once more in the lower states. Also, the "Transparency accepts mouse" needs to be unchecked.
    Simple.

  • CO-PA Cost Component do not match with Standard Cost Component Values

    Dear Members,
The CO-PA Cost Components (as mapped through KE4R), do not match with Standard Cost Component values for the Group Currency. In local currency the values match.
System is correctly picking up VPRS value, both in local currency and Group Currency, which is equal to the total of Standard Cost Components however, it is the Value Fields linked to the Standard Cost Components in Group Currency that do not match.
In KE40, the Indicator is 4:Released Standard Cost Estimate matching Goods issue Date.
I have verified KEPH/CKMLPKEPH tables. The values are same as that of VPRS.
    Any help/clues?
    Regards
    Satya

    Hi,
In case of billing documents the group valuation approach is managed in the data structures of the legal valuation in additional value fields. To control costs and revenues in the different views separately, you must create additional value fields and assign them to the data structures.
The field contents must be filled via the CO-PA user exit, they cannot be entered by assigning conditions to value fields. The profit center valuation is updated in a separate ledger. No separate value fields are necessary.
The exit to be used is function module 'EXIT_SAPLKEII_002' ( enhancement COPA0005 ). Within the exit you have the complete SD data avaialble in the tables 'T_ACCIT' and 'T_ACCCR'. The conditions can be found in T_ACCIT and the corresponding values ( linked via 'POSNR' ) in table T_ACCCR. The PA line item and the corresponding SD item in table ACCIT
can be mapped via the line item field 'RPOSN' and the field 'POSNR_SD' in table ACCIT.

  • Will the late 2013 Mac Pro boot from an external drive (4Tb, USB 3) with a cloned Win7 x64 partition on it?

    Hello all,
I ordered a CTO Mac Pro for heavy rendering and animating work, and I am planning on using bootcamp to install a windows partition (for 3DsMax). As I am now using a HP Elitebook 8770W that has several valuable files and projects on it, I have bought a Seagate 4Tb external Desktop Drive that uses USB 3.0 to use as a backup drive. Now, as I saw that Bootcamp Assistant only supports installing a x64 version of Windows 8, my question is:
Will a late 2013 Mac Pro using bootcamp assistant boot from an external USB drive with a cloned partition running x64 win7? Or do I really have to buy Windows 8 and install that to my internal SSD, and then use the migration assistant to copy over my projects?
    Thanks!

Posted? or found in new builds?
BCA should really just pull whatever the latest drivers are when run.
If it is with how it partitions and sets up nMP and its partition for Windows that is another matter and makes sense.
Some people want UEFI native booting in Windows, and my experieince with that on PCs has been that it boots faster and runs well, but has different partitions that it wants. For one thing, there is now a backup "system reserved" partition, just as Apple GUID has some volume information blocks and backup and areas that were once optional (and if format erase was not able to, it would not create one) are now mandatory.
Windows 8.1 is req'd, reason a backup should be a big must - is it might overwrite and use another OS's  partition table entries.  Especially when doing UEFI install.
There was something about which linux OS was safe and how they would each add entries in the table, but one would not place nice.  That one had to be done first or not at all.

can I use an USB disc with my macbook pro bought in 2005.  What capacity will it take 2.00 or 3.00?

The first MacBook Pro's were not released until the beginning of 2006, and they had USB 2 ports.
Anything available new in 2005 would have been a PowerBook G4 and they also had USB 2 ports.
A USB 3 disk will just transfer data slower then it could do, if you plug it into a USB 2 port though, so you can buy either.

    Hi
From memory, you can add the second extension number as the "Primary E.164 number" on the user associated with the voicemail box.
That way both phones should be associated with the same VM box.
