USB doesn't load on macbook pro, but does on PC?
If someone knows how to fix this please help me. I have restarted and shut down my macbook but still nothing happens..
If you are refering to an external HDD, you probably do not have it formatted correctly for a Mac.

You haven't identified the version so I can't tell if offering you contact options for Adobe Support will be of use to you. But they will likely be your only hope of getting resolution unless you just happen to be using the wrong number as the serial number.

USB Card reader works on MacBook Pro but not Mac Pro
I have a random "All-in-1" card reader from Quantaray. I'm trying to mount my CF card because it takes forever and a day to import HD video directly from my Canon 5D Mk II.
It works on my MacBook Pro (Mid 2010). Both computers are running 10.6.8. All I have to do is plug it in and it appears on the desktop on my Macbook. But not on my Mac Pro.
I've already tried resetting the PRAM and SMC. No dice
It shows up in the System Profiler under the USB High Speed port as a usb card reader but I can't find it anywhere; not even in Disk Utility.
Any ideas?

First, you must identify the application that created the file. If it truly was Macromedia Flash, fine. Once you know which app created the file, make certain that the same application exists on the Mac Pro. If it does, set the file to open in that application: Open a Getinfo window for the file, then use the "Open With..." dialogue to choose Macromedia Flash (or the correct application) to open the file.

PhotoShop Elements 4.0 works on MacBook Pro but does not on iMac (same OSX10.6.8)?
Photshop elements 4.0 worked fine on my MacBook Pro (same OSX 10.6.8) but when I installed it on my new iMac, it continually freezes and crashes. Any suggestions?

Look to see if the developer provides an uninstall utility, if they do use that first.
Use an app like AppCleaner (Google it) to locate all of the app to remove all the pieces of it.
Drag the app to the Trash.
Why it's not working...well you will need to look on an Adobe Photoshop Elements forum for help unless someone here is able to assist. -
My WD My Passport SE USB 3.0 works with MacBook Pro but NOT new iMAC?
The drive works fine on my MacBook and I can see it from the iMAC when I share it. but the iMac will not recognise it, nothing in Disk Utility, when plugged directly in.
WD are unable to help as I don't believe there is a USB 3.0 Y cable in the UK and the latest firmware, which supposedly fixes a 'read with Lion OS' issue, does not make a difference.
Any helps????

PaulI've done dwb's suggestion #3, removing the perfectly good WD bare drive from their perfectly bad enclosures and installing it in an enclosure from Other World Computing. Their enclosures always work; "name-brand" enclosures seem to be very troublesome.
The cheapest option after resetting the PRAM/NVRAM is to get a powered USB2 hub as in dwb's #2. The Passport must get all power from the computer's USB port and, if you have a lot of USB devices attached, there may not be enough power left to turn the drive. A powered USB hub has an independent power supply so devices attached to it are not competing for power.
Although I've not tried it, there are positive reports that using Disk Utility to reformat the drive for Macintosh (they are formatted for Windoze when they ship) made the drive behave without resorting to an enclosure or a powered hub. -
Burned DVD does not play in MacBook Pro but does in other computers.
Hi, everyone. I have recently had some issues playing backed up copies of DVDs that I have. These two particular DVDs have not been able to play properly with DVD player. They will begin playing but never actually make it to the main menu screen. I have tried downloading other media software, such as VLC, but this has not been of any help.
What's even more bizarre is that they successfully play in my old Dell computer (Inspiron 700m) and a desktop HP that the rest of the family uses. Does anyone have any insight or advice? Your drive may need cleaning. Cleaning kits can be purchased from any store that sells CD/DVDs.

I connected an external monitor to my MacBook Pro, but it doesn't open any programs. It Just sits there with a blank screen. How do I get it to open programs and act like a monitor?

It sounds like you are trying to get your external monitor to act as the primary viewing screen. For example it would have your Doc, Icons, Etc. In order to make the external monitor the primary screen you have to:
Open System Preferences.
Choose the Displays Icon
There will be several tabs to choose from pick Arrangement
Drag the toolbar to desired display

My internal hard drive isn't being recognized on my macbook pro but when I put the HD in my Mac Pro (desktop), the desktop computer recognizes the HD. When I insert the installer CD on my laptop, it also doesn't recognize my hard drive. Please help! Thank you!

I have an iPhone and when I got it, I had a Toshiba laptop. Now I have a MacBook Pro, but when I try to wi-fi sync my iphone and new computer, it doesn't work because on my iphone it is still trying to sync with my old computer. How I can fix this?
Move the content from the old computer to the new computer.
Sync the iPhone via cable to the new computer and enable Wi-Fi syncing.
It should now be possible to sync via Wi-Fi to the new computer. -
I have my new HD in a USB enclosure connected to my MacBook Pro and I want to put a fresh copy of Mountain Lion on it. I'm told that I need to boot from the Installation Disk to start. But I do not have an install DVD as I got ML as a download from the App Store. Can I download ML from the App Store again, but this time directly to my new HD?

Theres almost a trick to it for first time users, goto SETTINGS...General......Cellular (if Verizon) ....Personal Hotspot, turn it on.....turn on wifi on your Mac, select your Iphone. Enter password.
If you take too long doing it, youll need turn turn off and on real quick the "personal hotspot" slider on the Phone.......then go quick again thur the Mac. -
While playing games like NFS and CounterStrike my macbook pro it does connects to the hotspot by any device either a Windows laptop, but doesn't show or connect to the server (LAN) created by windows player. Or, any other devices doesn't connects to the LAN server that i created in the Game.

It sounds like you would like to erase your MacBook Pro and install a new copy of OS X, but the Mac does not boot to OS X Recovery when you hold the Command + R keys during startup.
If your Mac came with OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) or earlier, I recommend referring to the steps in this article:

I have Lightroom 4 purchased in disk download format. I am considering purchasing a MacBook Pro but this doesn't have a CDRom. Can I use the serial code to download on to MacBook via the internet? I have only used the disks once for my iMac.
you need a lr serial for mac. the serial number for pc and mac are different.
you can download a trial lr 4 for your mac but you need a mac serial number to install.
