Hello ! I am planning to add a SSD to my two-years-old HP Pavilion 15-e073ca Notebook PC. I found on some sites that I can remove the optical drive and put a second drive using a caddy adapter into the optical drive bay. I found that some people on the forum have done it successfully, but nothing about my PC model. I want to know if it could work with my product. In other words, there is my plan:1-Remove the actual HDD from the hard drive bay and replace it with the new SSD.2-Remove the optical drive and replace it with the caddy adapter containing my old HDD.3-Do a clean install of Windows 10 on the SSD, using a USB recovery flash drive made with my actual Windows 10 system (which was updated from Windows 8.1). Do I have a solid state drive for Hp Envy DV7 7273ca notebook?

I have an hp envy dv7 7273CA Windows 8.1 notebook and i was wondering becuse the box said it came with a ssd i dont have the box anymore
I have three drives os c: Recovery d: and data e: I was wondering if data e is the ssd its 29.6 gigs.
when i go to properties they all say the same thing local disk ntfs. when i go to properties than hardware i see 2 drives besisdes my dvd drive one is a samsung and the other is a WDC WD10 bunch of numbers and letters. PLEASE HELP this is rather annoying trying to figure out thx.

How to add a 2nd hard drive to HP Pavilion DV7!

How to add a 2nd hard drive to HP Pavilion DV7-3165DX, product # WA794UA or WA794UAR.
(1) Order HDD, hard drive, hardware kit. HDD hardware kit includes mounting rails, static shield, screws, rubber isolators, and SATA to motherboard cable. Check your model & Product # for compatibility.
HP Parts HDD hardware kit 517639-001 for DV7-3165DX product# WA794UA and WA794UAR.
(2) Consult Drives - Windows 7 PDF, table of contents, 7 Replacing a drive in the secondary hard drive bay. This will show you how to install a 2nd HDD in a HP DV7.

(3) In Windows 7 select Computer, Select the HDD installed, Format (if not already formatted).
(4) If HDD does not show up in Windows 7 under Computer, go to Start (Menu), Search Programs and Files, enter "Computer Management", select Storage, Disk Management (Local), look for the Bay 2 HDD (should show up as Disc 1, Bay 1 HDD should show as Disc 0), Format the 2nd HDD (The one you just installed).
Update: I have the 2nd HDD (WD 1TB) installed, Windows now recognises it after completing the steps I mentioned in step 4, Format with default allocation NTFS 931.51GB free, 118MB used for formatting. Format with default allocation exFAT 931.51GB free, 1MB used for formatting. I selected NTFS format to reduce file fragmenting.

When i added my 2nd HDD I was ready to get it ordered and shipped, so it would arrive before I arrived home. I also was not sure if it would be offered anywhere else and be 100% compatible. The quality of the factory HP part is good. Since then I found a cheeper source. Newmodeus DV7-3xxx Hard Drive Caddy $27.95 +tax +shipping. Not sure if the quality is the same. Thanks Banhien for your quick response. However my system shows no backup schedule to disable. I do have a 'Manage Space" link and a Turn on schedule link and change settings link along with Restore options with 3 options-' restore all user files- select another backup to restore files from and recover system settings on your computer. If I click on 'Manage Space link', it gives me the option to 'Select how disk space is used by Windows back up'- then there are two options: 'data file backup'-which indicates i can free up space by deleting file backups, and the other option is 'system image' which is greyed out. Upon clicking on the option (view backups) under 'data file backup option'- it shows the current data file backups on my hp_tools (e the date of the file is displayed and the amount of usage- it gives me the option to delete- should I click the delete button?

Is it possible to have two USB drives for the IPad? I want to bring RAW files from my camera through the IPad and out to an external hard drive. One of my cameras has an SD card but the other one doesn't have a card that would fit in any of the camera devices I've seen on line. Realted to this, I bought the IPad camera accessory. Can I put the SD card in the device and also hook the external hard drive to the USB port of the accessory and download from the camera to the hard drive? Can I put Lightroom or the Nikon photo editing software on the IPad? Right now I carry a PC laptop and external hard drives with me on wildernes trips. Internet and WiFi are not available. Because I shoot so many photos and they're in RAW I need to download from the camera to the external drive because I run out of memory on the PC (and it has much more memory than the IPad). I have Nikon NX software and lightroom on my PC. I'd love to be able to reduce the weight I carry by using the IPad to edit my photos each night while on trips. Is this possible and how would I do it? I'd appreciate any guidance.

No, the camera connection kit only supports the copying of photos and videos to the Photos app, it doesn't support copying content off the iPad. For your second camera instead of the SD reader part of the kit, does the iPad to camera cable not work with it for direct transfer to the iPad ?
For Lightroom and Nikon software again no - you can only install apps that are available in the iTunes app store on your computer and the App Store app on the iPad, 'normal' PC and Mac (OS X) software are not compatible with the iPad (iOS). There are some apps that perform fairly basic editing functions that are available in the store, but nothing as sophisticated as, for example, Lightroom.

iTunes only syncs to Apple devices.

This is not difficult and you will not have to download from the app store.
your computer has what is called a recovery partition that came with it.
simply hold cmd+R while you boot up. let go a second after you hear the chime.
you will boot into the recovery partition.
Use disk utlity to format your usb drive and then exit Disk utlity and go to Reinstall Mountain Lion.
it will ask you which disk you want to install ML onto. Choose your new USB drive.

I am searching for the USB-Driver for Musicord Cherub MRD-41 Recorder. Searching for it along the internet did not give any matching result.
Originally a CD containing the USB-Driver for Windows was included with the product. Since we now work with Apple-Products this does no longer work. Connecting the device to a Mac (as it is normal these days) and hoping, that it will work without any additional Software does not give any result.
On the Original-CD the manufacturer states, that the USB-Driver for Mac can be downloaded at www.apple.com but there nothing can be found anymore.
The recorder has been bought about 6 years ago (used under Windows then). Now we would like to use it again under Mac-systems (10.6 and 10.7).
Does anyone know, if, and where help can be found?
