USB file copy very fast and not completed

Hello
when I try copy big files ( about 700 MB for example ) to USB device my copy speed is very fast ( about 55 MB/S ) and Copy the file is not completed. Any one can help me to solve this problem?

Linux usually doesn't copy the files all at once. You can force it to flush all
remaining data by unmounting the USB device, which will take quite a long time
if you do it immediately after issuing the copy command.
I think there is a mounting option that forces all data transfer to be done
synchronously, in case you prefer that.

Hi everyone, I hope that someone can help me with thisproblem:
I was copying some files of 370 MB to a 4GB Kingston USB key and It took around 45 or 50 minutes to copy it and when I try to eject the key it give me an error. I tried again and it was the same; So I remove it without unmounting...... The result, only two of all files were in the usb key.
I'm using LXDE, 2.6.30-arch on a AMD 5200 x2 64bits, 4 GB of ram.
Why it took me too long to copy those files and the error when i was rejecting the USB key???

Yes you are right, but if lots of data is cached and you ask to unmount the drive from a DE (my experience is with xfce) then I believe there is a timeout before it spits an error about not being able to unmount while it is still trying to flush out all the data (maybe the error the OP received?), thats when the activity led is useful, to check if it is just being stubborn or actually still doing something.
I have noticed that even after xfce says it is safe to remove the device there is still activity for a couple of seconds so I guess one risks to have data loss if removing the drive while there is still activity.
The OP just said 370 MB of data and didn't mention how many files there were, from my experience you get around 5MB/s of writing speed with most usb flash drives (USB2 drives, the most common and cheaper) but this is when writing big files, try to write 300MB of small files and you will quit before it reaches 20% (if you don't count caching).
I have also noticed that even if the kernel does cache the writes it will keep writing in the background, but when unmounting there is always some writing to do so I guess either way it will not be safe to just remove the drive without unmounting first, that flush mount option may be worth looking at ...
Without more details we are all just giving our best guesses, maybe it can even be broken hardware that is causing the problem for all we know.

Why is the iPad charging very slowly and not completely

The iPad recently has stopped holding its charge and is charging very very slowly--even after being plugged in overnight it is only half charged. I did just download the upgrade and am wondering if that could have something to do with it?

What model iPad is it? Try a reset - press and hold the sleep/wake button and the home button together until you see the Apple logo appear on screen (could take 10-15 seconds be patient), then release them and allow it to finish rebooting normally. Then try charging it again. If that doesn't help then try charging it while it's powered off and see if that helps.
I had the same problem on my iPad 3 a couple of months back, before I upgraded to iOS 7. One day out of the blue it barely charged at all despite several hours on the charger. I powered it off and charged it for 2-3 hours, and it's been fine ever since. I suspect it would have been fine if I'd simply reset or restarted it.

The D810 requires Camera Raw 8.6 or later - the latest version that is compatible with Photoshop Elements 12 is Camera Raw 8.5 as far as I can see.
You need to either buy a new version of Photoshop Elements or use the free Adobe DNG converter.

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device)

IPhoto Originals File now by Date and not Event - why?

Ever since I upgraded to iPhoto 09, I realized the original file structure in the iPhoto Library has changed back to Dates, rather than by Events, even though all my photos belong in a non-date event. This is the same as Iphoto 06. I got used to the Event structure in iPhoto 08.
All my previous events are still intact, but I have this problem for my new pics where if I put them in an event, the original file structure would be sorted by date. This is very annoying if I want to send an event to someone or if I'm using Front Row/Boxee to view a particular event. Does anyone have the same issue? I thought if I put a photo into an event, it would automatically update in the file structure immediately as well.
As you can see below, some files are sorted by Events and some files are sorted by Dates:

No.
The strict link between the Events in the iPhoto Window and the folders in the Finder was broken with iPhoto 09 and no one outside of Apple knows why.
However, it shouldn't matter, because you ahould not be accessing the files inside the iPhoto Package File anyway - bluntly it's not a supported way of accessing the files.
Make Albums of the photos to view in other apps.

You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.

Many internet sites such as Flickr and SmugMug have plug-ins for accessing the iPhoto Library. If the site you want to use doesn’t then some, one or any of these will also work:
To upload to a site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
This is also true for emailing with Web-based services. However, if you're using Gmail you can use iPhoto2GMail
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.

Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
Other options include:
1. *Drag and Drop*: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
2. *File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
3. *Show File*: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

I recenty had a damaged i tune library and had to import an old version.
This last one does not have many of the CD I have copied the past months. And I don't know which ones these are either as they are too many of them.

I think it may misbehave with ringtones & some of the obscure media files, but they are both really powerful for repairing mangled libraries.
I would create a new smart playlist for 'Tracks added since (todays date)' so you can easily find any tracks that you add back to iTunes.

Cupertino, Bangert, Even though you have copied all the files and migrated to your new pc, you will not be able to transfer the licensing information.
Would suggest you to uninstall PS CS6 using the native uninstaller from Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers
Re-install PS CS6 using the disc or from here, Download CS6 products
Use your serial key to register and you should be good to go.

Sorry for the lengthy delay to a response. Are you trying to convert multiple files to individual PDF files at the same time? (not combine them). If so, you'll need to use Adobe Acrobat for this function. The CreatePDF service does not have the ability to convert multiple files to multiple individual PDF files.

if you prefer not to see the contents of your attachments embedded in your email...

When I click "File" and then "New" it keeps opening a new file as a layer and not a background. RGB is selected as the mode.

Yes. You are using the Ellipse Tool's Pixel option. So it is laying down pixels as it is supposed to do without creating a layer.
Choose the Shape option:
Also Layer menu > New Layer creates layers and the curled paper at the bottom of your Layers palette also creates a New Layer. I hope those work.
