USB flashdisk disconnected from Computer

I have installed Win7 in my T61. Drivers installed correcly and usb port accessable with my flashdisk. But now if I plug in my flashdisk, it's connected but disconnected (disappeared) form "Computer". I've checked in Devices and Printer, the icon for flash gets "!" sign.
In Device Mass Storage Properties, Device Status get message
Windows cannot use this hardware device because it has been prepared for "safe removal", but it has not been removed from the computer. (Code 47)
To fix this problem, unplug this device from your computer and then plug it in again.
Unplug and plug in again is not work. what's the solution?
Thank's

Yes I am having a problem with my USB port now after three or four years of not having any problems.
I've changed cables, brought a new hub, and my devices seem to only work correctly pluging into the port on the back of the computer.

Updated my iPhone 3gs yesterday to ios 6 (first time ever).  Backed up my content to icloud, but it wouldn't quit.  Remained on that screen for HOURS.  Finally disconnected phone from computer.  Still would not go away--just the "circle of death."  Restarted phone and lost EVERYTHING (pics, contacts and apps).  Can I get them back?  Are they somewhere out in cyberspace or lost for good?

You're not alone. I am having similar problems with my Ipod 5th gen 30gb.
When I connect it to my laptop (Vista - basic) it is not recognised by itunes. Itunes simply locks up.
So far I have tried the following to no avail:
Checked my pc's device manager - it recognises the device and says it is functioning properly.
Checked the drivers to make sure they are upt to date.
Uninstalled & reinstalled a previous version of itunes (as it worked fine before the latest release).
    Reinstalled the latest itunes.
    Reset the ipod.
Put the ipod into disk mode and reconnected to itunes.
Have tried to use the windows tool to scan and fix any bad sectors but it fails to complete a scan without locking that up as well.
Placed into disk mode when fully charged and then allowed the battery to drain completely. Then reconnected ipod (in disk mode)and it still is not recognised and locks up itunes.
At this point I dont really want to part with another $300 odd dollars for a new one.

  • ITunes opens when I disconnect iPhone from computer... WHY?!

Ever since the 3.1 update (I believe), whenever I disconnect my iPhone from my computer, iTunes opens... Is this Apple telling me I HAVE to have iTunes open at all times on my computer, and if I don't, they're going to open it for me? It's quite annoying really, and I can't figure out how to make it stop opening each time I disconnect phone from computer.
    Anyone else experiencing this problem?

AHHHH! This has been happening to me for a while now. it's REALLy annoying. iTunes pops up for a second when I unplug my phone and then it hides itself in the dock. I wouldn't care, except that I've got limited RAM and use a lot of Adobe programs...and iTunes is a bit of a memory hog.
Wonder if it's a bug or a "feature," though i'm not sure what the feature would be. Please let me know if there is a way to fix this. I've gone thorugh all the options without success

  • Blue screen of death when disconnecting iPhone from computer

So I bought the iPhone and even though I own a Mac I decided to connect it to my work PC which happens to run Windows XP. Everything worked great until I took a picture with the iPhone. As soon as I connected the iPhone, the computer crashed with a blue screen of death. So I looked it up on the forums here and found the article that talks about what COULD be the issue. What Apple is saying with that article basiclly is that this is "your" problem and not theirs so good luck trying to find which one of the 50 drivers that I have on my machine causes the issue. I tried to fix it by updating the drivers that they recommend and the problem is still there. Fine, I will not take pictures with the iPhone.
And then yesterday out of the blue (no pun intended) iTunes gave me an error message when I connected the iPhone, I didn't pay any attention to it and dismissed it only to find out that now every time I remove the iPhone from the computer, it crashes it with a blue screen of death. So now I can't sync the iPhone at all! How much more unsaved work am I going to loss because of this product?
On a personal note, I am a huge fan of Apple's products but I am extremely upset about this. Not only did Apple create a sloppy software implementation, they are making it look like it's a Windows problem. None of the other products that are installed on my machine cause my computer to crash like that, and if I do have an outdated driver (which I doubt!) then the developers of those products have found a way to deal with them WITHOUT crashing!
    Please advise

ok. first I couldn't log in with my previous nickname (not sure why) so I created a new one. Anyways, thank you for your reply and I'm sorry for coming off like jack it's just that losing your data three times will do that to you. I will tunnel my anger back at Microsoft I guess.
In any event, I went back and took a look at my drivers and didn't find any Lexmark or Logitec in there, however I decided to remove the built-in camera driver that came with the laptop and that seemed to work (it turns out that Logitec makes that camera!). I also moved the USB cable to a different port on the computer and now I don't get the blue screen when I disconnect the iPhone.
Thanks again for your help, it seems like I am safely syncing again
p.s. since I can't log in as the original author you might want to have a mod mark the question as answered. thanks.

  • Trouble disconnecting Ipod from computer after updating/charging

Just bought a 5th gen and I started to have this problem. The first few times after it updated, the window on my Ipod showed the battery being/finished charged, and allowed my to disconnect. Now after updating, it just keeps showing "Do not disconnect" and will not allow me to unhook. (I have to go to USB icon on tool bar and dissconnect that way, even though it still shows do not disco on the Ipod window.)
Is there something wrong, and will I create a problem on my Ipod discoing the way I do?
    Thanks
    Jim

it recognizes my ipod but when i click the sync button nothing happens and my ipod is still missing the songs that i just bought from my computer
try playing one of the purchased songs for a few seconds in itunes. do you get asked to authorise? if so, and if you do, do the purchases transfer to the ipod when you sync?

  • Ipod disconnects itself from computer

I've had my ipod for two years now but i haven't used it for over a year. My ipod would overheat when I went walking and three quarters of my songs either wouldn't play or would freeze halfway through. So i stopped using it and finally i dragged it out again this year (I got it xmas '04). I deleted everything on it and started from scratch, redoing everything on my computer BUT whenever I plug it in, the ipod takes 15mins on the DO NOT DISCONNECT screen then just appears with an apple. when the apple appears my computer then says that I need to reformat my ipod but I can't because it disconnects itself and then my computer says I need to plug in my ipod when it is plugged in! Can anyone offer any solutions on this as I would like to start using my ipod again.....The battery charges fine and it works but I can't put any music on it because of the above difficulties.

It seems like your iPods dead; they're really is hardly anything you can do to fix it.

When I disconnect my iphone 3gs(iOS) from computer, the device disappears from my itunes. This prevents me from doing a wireless sync. how do i fix it so that my device stays on itunes without having to plug it in all the time?
it worked the first few times i did it but the next day after i closed out of itunes once, the device only appears when i plug in my phone.

Whenever a menu choice is grayed out, that is because you have Restrictions turned on in Settings.  Be sure to turn it off.
You are confusing an itunes store account with an icloud account.  You two can continue using the same ID for itunes (thus sharing purchased music, apps, etc.), but you really should have separate accounts (different IDs) for icloud, since an account is intended for one user to keep his/her devices in sync.
To create a new icloud account, go to
    http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/
Then go to Settings>icloud and scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Delete Account.  (have restrictions turned off)  That will disconnect the device from the account but will not delete data in icloud or other devices.  Then sign in using the new ID.

iPad requires Wifi (or 3G /LTE) to connect to the Internet. You cannot connect a USB modem to the iPad.
You can create your own WiFi hotspot through your computer for your iPad to connect to, if your computer supports this functionality. All Wifi Macs and many Wifi PCs do. Check your computer manual for how to do it.

  • Playlist on ipod different from computer after disconnecting

Hi! This just starting happening once I upgraded to Itunes 9. I sync my ipod and iphone and the playlists (mostly just my top 25 most played) are the same UNTIL I disconnect them from the computer. Then they're magically different. HELP!

Frequently a restore is required for your problem:
    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:

  • Does KT4 boot from USB Flashdisk?

Unfortunately I don't have the KT4 board, but I could have a one.
Have anybody experience if KT4 boots from USB Flashdisk?
    Thanks.

presumably most modern mobos allow for booting from USB devices such as floppy drives and flash disks
why not download the manual from here http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/download/dld/spt_dld_list.php?kind=1&CHIP=4&NAME=Socket%20A%20(AMD%20K7) and looking through the BIOS instructions? i think there should be.

  • MuVo V100 "One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned&qu

My V00 freaked out yesterday when I plugged it into the USB port on my PC. The machine ended up freezing and I had to do a hard reboot. Post reboot XP gives the message "One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned" and the player wasn't recognized. I did the system clean up and reboot recommended and the player itself is working normally again but XP still doesn't recognize the player. The V00 doesn't have any drivers I can locate so I'm stuck with a music library I can't update. I stopped at the office this morning and my laptop has the same issues. Aside from buying an IPod what else can I do. I've reinstalled the entire USB structure on my machine and all my other USB devices are recognized and working normally.

Try disconnecting the other USB items before connecting the player. Try connecting the player in a different USB slot. Connect the player directly to the USB slot, not to an extension cable or a hub.

  • IProblem: "One of the USB devices attached to this computer has ...."

Hi, I'm having a problem with my iPod.. when I connect the iPod this message pops:
"One of the USB devices attached to this computer has ...."
I've searching a similar problem in the forums, and I have found many discussion about it, but any of them can solve my problem.
Well, all began like this, the iPod was attached to the computer AND showing on iTunes, suddendly the screen shines I DID NOT Eject it (the iPod was on its menu, not in the Do not disconnect screen) so I thougth it was ok... but the iPod was still showing on iTunes, so I ejected.
The iPod remains connected for about an hour then I disconnect it without any problems. The problems began when I connect the iPod again (2 hours later), the message "One of the USB devices attached to this computer has ...." pops, now my computer can't access the iPod (it isnt on My Computer or iTunes)...so the first thing I did was search a similar problem in the forums, I've found that exact problem in many discussions, and I've tried everything they say:
    1. The Five R's
    2. Uninstall and Reinstall iPod software and iTunes
    3. Enable manually disk mode (still not recognized)
    4. Check if the USB was low powered and Uncheck the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to safe power" (it isn't low powered 'cause the iPod was working with that USB)
No matter what I did, the iPod is not showing on My Computer, I hope you can help me out, tomorrow I will try on a different computer and a different cable
PD: Sorry for my poor English, I'm from Peru.

  • Playbook connects briefly to USB, then disconnects

I was able to connect the Playbook to my laptop and transfer a couple of movies, but the process does not work now.  When I connect the USB cable, the Playbook screen briefly shows "Connected to Computer" but within five seconds another tone sounds and the screen indicates "Disconnected from Computer".  The port on the Blackberry has no issues as I can charge it via the AC charger.  I have tried a second USB cable with similar results.  My laptop's PC ports are functional as I have a mouse I am using successfully.

I HAVE THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM
I'm not sure if you figured this out yet but after trying everything...uninstalling and re-installing desktop man., tried every USB port and even tried another PC and it worked fine.
I forgot that while troubleshooting a network issue, I had disabled "Local Area Connection 2" in my adapter settings...this is actually for your playbook. If it is disabeld the playbook connects for 5 seconds then disconnects.
Go in to your network adapter settings and make sure the connection is enabled. It looks exactly like your ethernet "local Area COnnection" but underneath it says "Research In Motion Network Device"
I was lieterally gettign ready to go return mine.
