Usb HP v250w USB Flash Drive not working

My name is goutam kundu and my new bought usb HP v250w USB Flash Drive is not working and not formatting also.Please provide me some information or to send the service center.

I have the same problem too. (USB was working on windows XP but no longer does but windows 7 is fine. ) I logged a request on the HP website and got an email from [email protected]
they suggested I try (as below)
Please try to use our repair tools (Uifx-I or Uifx-II) that maybe could solve the problem.

I've then put the USB into my winxp machine (which I had it working in previously)
and it is not recognised
but it does come up in the computer management section as below
And that was a month ago and I haven't heard from them since. I then emaield them and have had no response. but looking around the internet a lot of complaints exist regarding the v250w.

Usb flash drive not working in iMac

PNY 128gb flash drive is not working in my iMac when I tried to copy.

Did you partition and format it?
Drive Partition and Format
1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Apply button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.

Flash Drive NOT WORKING

My flash drive does not show in the my computer, whereas it is there in the computer management where I have tried formatting and renaming it. I have tried 2 flash drives HP and Sony both didn't work

Recovery Flash Drive Not Working

I ordered the recovery flash drive for my laptop. I have been trying (since yesterday) to complete the recovery process. It seems to just repeat the same steps over and over again. Seriously, it did this for several hours before I realized that I was doing the same thing. Do you think there is a problem with the recovery flash drive or the actual laptop? I'm so confused. I can chat with HP...been waiting 45 minutes. I've also requested a phone call and never recieved one. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

USB Flash drive not working after upgrade.

Its a SanDisk 8GB USB memory stick with the U3 filesystem on it. It works fine on Windows machines and on 10.5, but won't show up as a useable volume in Finder when inserted into my MBP.
Oddly enough, it does show up when I run Parallels - but only in the windows VM. It also shows in Parallels in the list of attached USB devices.
It just won't mount as a volume.
Any ideas?

copy anything on your drive to your desktop in parallels then reformat the drive.

USB Flash Drive not readable using 10.4.6 but is with 10.3.9

I noticed that a 32MB USB Flash Drive that used to work on my Powerbook when it was running 10.3.9 became unreadable when I upgraded to 10.4.6. This flash drive still works on my Dell WinXP system and I just tried booting the powerbook off a clone of my 10.3.9 setup (on an external firewire drive) and my flash drive works on that. So it appears to me that 10.4 has introduced a software bug that has disabled support for some flash drives. I will note that I also use a USB compact flash reader for transfering digital pictures and that does work under 10.4.6 so the problem does not affect all USB flash devices.
Is Apple aware of this? Are they working on it?

Have you tried to open it in disk utility? Probably won't, but worth a shot. If not and you don't know who made it, then I'd say your out of luck. Probably time for a new Flash drive.
A 32meg Flash Drive today is very cheap if you can find one. You can get a 250 meg Flash drive for $20-$30. That's 8 times the storage you have now.

Check the manufacturer website if the device is supported on Yosemite.
If not, you can get a SuperDrive from Apple which can run on any OS X version.

The only thing you can do is place the iPod in Recovery mode and restore via iTunes on a computer. It is a good security feature.

I just tried this, no luck...
I connected a different USB cable, still the same problem. Tried both cables with the problematic hard drive on two different computers, still the same problem.
At this point I assume I'll probably need professional help in saving the files, thanks for the assistance.

Actually BACK is standard user command so it is not stopping and going to selection screen.
Give some other use command like 'BCK' and try....

Flash Drive Not Recognized

I have an 8GB flash drive that worked until last night. I was uploading a 3.6 GB file and it crashed. I tried using Disk Utility to reformat the drive, but then that crashed too, along with Finder. I had to hold the power button to shut down my computer.
Now my flash drive isn't recognized by my Mac and does not come up with Disk Utility. I tried using it on a PC and the PC realized it was inserted but it was not recognized.
HELP!

Can't get flash drive to work consistently

I am having trouble getting my Buffalo RUF - C/U2 flash drive to work consistently with my iBook. Sometimes it magically connects, other times it doesn't. When it's connected, it works perfectly well. Getting it to work, though, is starting to drive me mad.
I've an iBook, running OSX 10.3.9. Processor 1.2 Ghz Power PC G4. Memory: 768 MB DDR SDRAM. There's about 20 Gb of free space.
I've tried to narrow down the cause of the problem, but with no luck. Re-booting and/or disabling the other USB port doesn't seem to make any difference - neither does attaching the device with the machine powered on or powered off. It seems to have a mind of its own.
Any advice?

It is just "VERY" annoying that i can't get it to work.
I found out something by going to www.adobe.com with my iphone 4.0 and search under flash
No wonder i could not figure out what was wrong, the reason for it is that Adobe and Apple is not
very good friends apparently. Or so i could understand, don't take my words for knowing this correctly.
I would still like to know a "date" for when it comes out, currently our whole firm is using Apple Iphone 4.0 cause its nice but, we would really like to be able to make some use of flash for the firm.... So we are thinking about changing our phones out for another model that might be able to do and run flash.

My flash drive which worked fine for 2 years crashed

I have a 32G flash drive which worked fine for 2 years. Then the Disk Utility says it needs repairing but the repair command is disabled.
So I transferred the entire content of the drive to another drive .
Now I want to reformat the drive that needed repair and hopefully save keep it as a spare drive. Somehow I don't know how to format it and I'm too lazy to drag up my PC and do it there.
How do I format it straight from my Macbook Air.
