Usb interface not on aggregate structure list

when i pull up my aggregate device box the structure list only has only built in components listed what do i do to get my usb interface on there?

The problem lies with Tascam and their inability to write stable drivers for OS X...  and isn't anything to do with Logic Pro ..
As you know, you are not the only person to have had this issue and the reality is, while the 1641 might work fine with  Windows, when it comes to OS X Macs.. it's an entirely different story... depending on the version of OS XS you are running.
The one tip I have read, that seemed to fix it for most people.. (Though not all) is as follows;
(Thanks to Paulypaulpaul for this)
-uninstall your tascam driver 2.10
-restart
-install driver 1.03
-restart
-plug in your tascam
-goto where you download your drivers (http://tascam.com/product/us-1641/downloads/), scroll down to the bottom where it says firmware, Download the firmware 1.02 (3rd from top under firmware), install it. your control panal should now read 1.03 for your drivers and 1.02 for your firmware.
-install drivers 2.10
-restart
Follow each of the steps exactly.. including all restarts when indicated..
...and good luck...

  • Updater - ipod usb interface not recognised at PC

I have a a 15GB ipod with dock connector. It was working fine playing songs and was visible from my Windows XP PC via the single USB cable. I could see ipod files.
I downloaded ipod updater 2005-09-23 and selected update.
    Thereafter :-
Ipod is no longer recognised by the PC, it gives - "usb device not recognised" when the menu button is pressed.
The ipod screen is blank. Reset gives the apple logo then the icon asking to connect the cable ( which is already connected).
Other usb interfaces on the PC give the same message.
Other devices connect OK to these USB interfaces.
The cable was working prior to the update.
Another PC ( compaq laptop ) gives the same "usb interface error message" when the ipod is connected.
the problem is within the ipod usb interface.
The updater appears to have corrupted/changed the ipod "usb interface"
I am unable to update again or restore as no connection available to the PC.
How can I restore the ipod's usb connectivity?

I went out and bought a firewire cable today.
The ipod was immediately recognised and ITUNES updated. I then connected the USB cable. It now works OK as well. I am so relieved.
On the updater screen, if you right click on the top bar, it drops down the "ipod models" updated by this version.
For my model it shows a firewire icon on the ipod. Is this co-incidence? I expect so.

  • M-Audio Fast Track USB interface not compatible with Logic Pro X and Yosemite

    Hello All!
I've been trying to simply record some guitar and vocal tracks onto the latest version of Logic Pro X. It worked before I downloaded the update of Yosemite, however now, I can't find a solution to my problem. I've tried everything! Installed new drivers onto the M-Audio and even tried to search for a later update of Yosemite. I have read a few things online about how Yosemite doesn't accept 3rd party drivers. So any USB plugged in to the macbook/mac that isn't mac based it doesn't accept.
Please can someone help me solve his issue!
    Thankyou!
    Felix

I know many, many of us who are running things just fine.
I have to be really honest with you Ben and say... Where are you getting that idea from because it simply isn't so.....
I have a quite large client list of Logic users from all over the world... and of those that have attempted to use Logic Pro X and Yosemite together... over 80% have had to revert back to a previous configuration because of performance and/or stability related issues...
I personally, have on test here at the studios...  7 different Macs  ranging from 2010 Mac Mini i7 Servers to 2011 32GB 3.4Ghz iMacs.. to a maxed out 2013 i7 MBP to a top of the line 2014 Mac Pro and all have demonstrated issues regarding performance and stability with LPX and 10.10.x using a variety of different Audio/Midi interfaces, all of which have supposedly 10.10 compatible drivers... and all of which have no such issues running LPX under Mavericks...
Just a quick scan across the various forums.. indicates that very few people are successfully running LPX under Yosemite without performance problems.... so that's why I am asking where you are seeing 'many many people" because I am just not seeing that myself...
    Cheers..

  • My USB Has Not Arrived But Is Listed As Delivered

Hello. I'm hoping someone here will reply and assist me, as I have been leaving messages and calling for weeks now regarding an order I paid for but did not receive, and urgently needed when I ordered it on August 13. The order was a usb recovery device for my mini-notebook, which is not functioning at all, even after troubleshooting over the phone. The order summary Toshiba emailed me on August 14 reads as follows:
    Order Number: SFF415546
    Item Shipped: SW Media - USB-MINI NOTEBOOK-NB505-Windows 7 32bit Starter-EN for mini notebook NB505-N508BL
    DHL Tracking Number: SFF415546
When I go to the tracking page, the device is listed as delivered in my city of Woodside, but I have not received it. I have also called DHL numerous times, but I am treated in much the same manner as with your firm, unfortunately; sent round and round to different departments where no one will tell me anything of tangible value. The above tracking page also lists a USPS delivery confirmation:
    USPS Delivery Confirmation
    9102901000433256226557
I did go to the Woodside post office this past Friday and the manager is checking to see who the USPS carrier was and where it might have been delivered (meaning someone else may have taken my order!). The building super and my neighbors do not have it, either. At this point, after so much runaround, I really need a. some human assistance and b. a replacement usb sent out or a refund from Toshiba. This has been an awful experience thus far.

When you contacted Toshiba, did you get any case number or anything?

  • USB Interface Not Working With Logic Pro 9

    Hello,
I've had a Tascam US-1641 for several years now with absolutely zero issues on my old PC. Ever since I upgraded to Mac (early 2011 17 inch Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard) I've had nothing but problems with the US-1641. No matter how many times I uninstall-reinstall the drivers and what USB port I plug it into, whenever I turn on the device and it's connected to my Macbook, it crashes my operating system and it freezes everything I was doing. Logic Pro doesn't load and when it sometimes does (10 minutes later), it immediately crashes when I click anything.
I've tried several tips to fix it and nothing worked. The most popular choice was select the default input/output in Logic to the system audio, then quit Logic, turn on the interface, then restart Logic. No such luck. I have to reboot my machine at least 5 times, uninstall/reinstall the driver and hope it works to use the interface. I thought it was the operating system, so I upgraded to Mountain Lion and installed the new driver for Mountain Lion, after of course deleting the other drivers and removing all previous data, and it is still giving me the same problems.
I don't have the money to afford a replacement model or a different interface from a different company, so I'm hoping you guys can help me figure out what exactly it is that's causing the interface to freeze my operating system and crashing my Mac whenever I try to use it. I am getting extremely frustrated at this and as much as I love OSX and Logic, what good is this piece of software if I can't use it? I need help.
    Thank you.

  • USB Interface not working

So I have a Lexicon Omega that I've been using with garageband to record 2 guitars. Recently it was accidentally unplugged while recording and Garageband won't recognize any sound coming in from the device. The device shows that there is sound and the sound panel of Preferences shows that there is sound coming through but garageband won't do anything with it.

  • Aggregate Device doesn't recognize my Tascam US144 USB-interface

Hi! I hope this is the right category to post in...
Well, I would like to create an aggregate device with my Tascam US144 USB-interface as input and the built-in MacbookPro-speakers.
    The problem:
When I open the "Create Aggregate Device"-dialog and create a new device it doesn't list my US144, so I can't include it into my aggregate device.
It would be really awesome if you could help out.

I am having the same issue.
Ive called Tascam, the phone tech claimed they are unaware of this issue and told me to talk to Apple.
Ive called Apple and they believe it is in the driver support of Tascam - which I particularly believe more.
Has anyone found the answer to this?
I was trying out a M-Audio interface hardware yesterday that was showing up in the aggregate device list with the USB icon (US144 does not).
Was anybody able to use the Soundflower option to map the inputs from US144 to the Apple Default In?
I advocate a call campaign to TASCAM to get their software engineers working on a support for this!!

  • IPhone 5 not working properly with  USB interface in Honda Accord.

The iPhone 5 seems not to work properly with the USB interface in my 2012 Honda Accord. It says I have 500  songs when I only have 430, it skips over songs and freezes during play.

I actually have a different problem. I am unable to play Pandora through my USB connection in my 2012 Honda Accord SE with my iPhone 5. I can't get map directions through my speakers or any sounds at all. Any idea if a fix will be available?

  • This an IPOD I bought used.  Everything else works fine.  It syncs to my computer and plays my music but will not connect to the USB interface in my car. My wife's IPOD, which seems to be identical, works fine.  Any ideas?

Then my last suggestion is to Reset it, while connected to the BMW Audio.
Toggle the Hold switch, make sure you dont see the red mark when you do the  next step
Reset the iPod -> Press Menu and Center button simultaneously for about 10 secs or till the Apple Logo comes ON
    Then release the buttons
    Select your preferred language.

  • Software needed for the USB device, "USB Interface Controller TEST2.0"

My mother recently acquired a digital camera. She acquired it from a second-hand store, which did not include an interface cable or software. The manual (and the USB port on the camera) indicates that a male-male USB cable is necessary for photos to be copied to the hard drive.
I was not successful in locating such a cable at any local electronics store (I assume such a cable is now out-of-date). I purchased one from a seller on eBay. The brand is "e circuit electronics".
Upon powering up the camera with the cable connected to it and the computer, the following message appeared:
"Software needed for the USB device "USB Interface Controller TEST2.0" is not available. Would you like to look for the software on the Internet?"
I clicked "Yes". After an approximate two-minute wait, another message appeared stating:
"Software Update is not able to connect to the Internet. Please check your configuration and try again."
I deleted, "Software Update Preferences" in the Preferences folder inside the System Folder, without solving the problem. How do I solve the issue of allowing Software Update to connect to the Internet?

Thank you for your continued assistance, BDAqua. Unfortunately, the driver you linked to does not seem to be compatible with the camera. It is a driver for the V20 model, whereas my model would correspond to be a V2755, as referenced from a list of other Vivicam models when during a search at the Open Drivers web site.
From the system requirement about the card reader you gave me, it will not work, as this system is running 9.1. I am hesistant to upgrade this computer to 9.2, as I have experienced system unstability with that version, with even the 9.2.2 update applied.
In the mean time, I have e-mailed Vivitar regarding this issue, but have as of yet received a reply.
I am not certain as to other specifics to give you, in order to solve the Software Update problem. Please elaborate.
Yes eww, the computer in question is able to fully connect to the Internet for all that I need. I am fully aware of the difference between a computer connecting to the Internet, and a computer connecting to a digital camera. I have 15 years of Macintosh experience.

  • How do I add a USB interface back to my network preferences

Help, I mistakenly deleted the usb interface from the list of available interfaces from my network preferences. How do I add it back?

    Hello,
I found a website that you can download mail for. I dont know if you can trust the website, but this is just to let you know that it is out there. http://en.softonic.com/s/mail:mac
Also, if you do not want to download that, you can alway have a safari tab open with you email. That also works.

  • Setting output to onboard and input to USB interface ?

    Hi all,
Does somebody now a way to "split" the input and output in logic?
What I want is using my Alesis USB interface for the incoming signals and the onboard (headphone) output for the the master output. The reason is, when recording guitars through ie Amplitube, the Alesis interface is giving both the clean guitar input signal and the processed signal form Logic back on the output. There's no way to stop the clean input signal going to the output... IF there's a way to set the output to onboard, I only monitor the Logic output.
In Garageband you can easily set both the input and output in Preferences, but Logic only gives me the option to select the soundcard for both in and output.
I hope someone can help me out. Thanks a lot
    Kind regards,
    Martijn

You may be able to configure your interface to do this...
But if not, you can create an aggregate device (in Audio MIDI setup - may be in Applications>Utilities).

  • 6610, dku-5, usb device not recognised

    Hi...
Have a 6610 and Windows XP (SP 3) and need to save all my data... so trying to use PC Suite. Bought a DKU-5 cable:
    1. Installed driver from the accompany DKU-5 CD and installed suite... when asked, connected cable and phone. Not recognised
    2. Uninstalled all the above, including registry settings
    3. Installed latest downloaded driver from the Nokia website. Connected cable and phone to PC. Not recognised - sometimes the system just stays quiet, and sometimes i get an error message that the device has failed or not been recognised
    4. Tried running PC Suite from the original CD... doesn't find the phone
    Grateful for any suggestions?
    TIA

    Hi aspergerguy...
First, thanks for the response and sorry for the delay in replying... but have been trying out various routes.
    1. Your suggestion does not even come up in the interface options i get...
    2. Have also bought a CA-42 cable and tried that.
    3. Have downloaded the latest drivers from the Nokia site and the latest PC Suite...
    4. Have aggressively uninstalled by removing even registry entries
    5. Have tried installing and rebooting in various configurations
Nothing works. The CA-42 cable goes as far as saying "New hardware detected" but then gives the "USB device not recognised" error. Just doesn't seem to recognise the driver.
Regarding the COM port suggestion... if i go through the Nokia Connection Manager and click the DKW-5/CA-42 options which are listed under Serial cables, alli get is a COM1 option...
    Any other ideas?
    Cheers...

  • Stereo to multichannel USB interface

Hello, I'm having a bit of a problem with my sound.
I bought a Hercules Gamesurround MUSE Pocket LT, a USb interface for 5.1 audio.
I've got it working with 5.1 games and movies but I'd like to output iTunes to all of the channels (so not real 5.1, but just fake it) as well as all other applications that output sound.
At this point I wouldn't even care if I lost the 5.1 surround, I only want to have the music coming out of all of the six speakers. I've used splitters in the past but for now that's a no go. It's a long story.
SO are there any drivers that output stereo to 5.1/multichannel ?
I've tried "USB Audio ASIO driver" but it only puts a beep every few seconds on the output and still uses only 2 speakers.

    YAY!!!!
together with AULab from Apple, soundflower can set up stereo->surround audio.
    http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=148492
    Quote here for future reference:
Parastie wrote on the insanelymac forums:
It's taken me quite some time to figure this out, and considering how easy it was I should have gotten this done a long time ago. For a little bit of history, I purchased a X-Fi Surround 5.1 for my Macbook Pro. Anyone who has this sound card knows that it has wonderful audio quality, or at least in Windows. In Mac, it has no ability to upscale stereo sound to 5.1, which is something I really enjoy. I have this device connected analog out to 5.1 speakers, and here's how I got it all to work! I'm using OSX 10.4, and the instructions should be similar for 10.5.
    1.
    Download SoundFlower
    http://code.google.com/p/soundflower/
    2.
Make sure you have AULabs installed. It's part of the Dev Pack, so check
    Developer/Applications/Audio for the AULabs
    3.
Now we need to make sure that OSX knows that you're dealing with surround sound stuff. Once you have everything installed, go into the MIDI Configuration panel, listed under Utilities.
3a: Under the 'Properties' category, you need to select your SB X-Fi Surround 5.1. Click on Speaker Configuration and choose Multichannel, then select 5.1 Surround. Make sure you click apply!
3b: Again under 'Properties' choose the Soundflower (16ch). Click on Speaker configuration and choose Multichannel, then select 5.1 Surround. Make sure you click apply!
    4.
This is where things get interesting! Launch AULabs. For Audio Device, choose Soundflower (16ch). You can experiment here, but I found it easier to add filters by manipulating each channel seperatly.
4a: So under Outputs, look for Output Channels and choose 'mono'. Now you'll need to add 6 channels. To prevent crossing signals, you need to make the channels 11-16, instead of 1-6. Now click on Inputs and add channels 1 and 2. Click Okay.
4b: Now, you should have 2 channels under Audio Device and 6 under Master Out. Under Audio Device, look down where Volume is listed. You should see numbers 1-6 listed for each channel. These numbers correspond with the Outputs. For Audio 1 (which is the left channel), you want to choose 1,3,4, and 5. For Audio 2 (which is the right channel), you want to choose 2,3,4, and 6.
4c: Remember, you don't want to close this window, but you can choose File and Save, to save this right now.
    5.
Now we're going to configure Soundflower using Soundflowerbed. Under Applications, open the folder for Soundflower and launch Soundflowerbed.
5a: Soundflowerbed is an application that hangs out in the menu bar at the top right. Click on it and look at the Soundflower (16ch) and you want to choose your audio device. for me, I chose SB X-Fi Surround 5.1.
5b: Click on Soundflowerbed again open the drop down menu for the Soundflower (16ch). What we need to do is route sound to the proper places. Under channels 1 and 2, you want to choose 'none'. You might also want to change channels 1-6 to 'none', but that's up to you.
5c: Now you need to route channels 11-16 to the proper places. 11 goes to SB X-Fi Surround 5.1 [1], 12 goes to SB X-Fi Surround 5.1 [2], 13 to 3, etc.
    6
Play something! You should have sound going to all 5.1 speakers! Experiment with some filters in AULabs. I'm using the AULowpass filter on channel 4, which is the subwoofer and i've been tinkering with Hipass filtering on the center channel to isolate voices.
Let me know what everyone thinks. There might be a way to use this application to build a true application, but I don't know how. the AULab must be running for these features to work. If you close it, the audio will stop. Enjoy!

  • Ipod not recognised by Windows, USB device not recognised

    Hi hope someone can help
I have recently received my ipod back from Applecare who have sent the ipod back in ' working order ' but it will no longer be recognised by my windows. It says USB device not recognised and i cant find, nor will it install drivers that i located on the ipod updater etc.
I have tried several methods on this forum but none seem to work.
The letter from mycare says the iPod is formatted for a computer operating Mac OS X. Although i stated wi use Windows. But the leter states this can be changed bu installing the updater, but this wont make a diff as comp still wont regonise the device after i have followed there instructions. Any advice?
    Thanks

I'm not really up on the complexities of the Windows OS but try this tip I picked up a while back, hopefully it might help.
"USB Device not Recognized in Windows".
    1. On the Start menu, click Control Panel.
    2. Double-click the System icon.
    3. Click the Hardware tab.
    4. Click Device Manager.
    5. Scroll down the list of devices to the Universal Serial Bus controllers
    6. Click the plus icon next to the Universal Serial Bus controllers.
    7. Double-click one of the indented USB Root Hub entries.
    8. Click the Power Management tab.
    9. Deselect the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" option.
    10. Click the OK button at the bottom of the window.
    11. Restart the computer.
