Usb not seeing mp3 player? brand new s10!

brand new s10, all ok but neither usb port seeing mp3 player.(sandisk clip) mp3 used on other computers, no problem.

USB port does not see MP3 player. I looked at "support & downloads". Nothing there about USB's.
This is crazy, I have never had to download drivers for a NEW computer to make the USB's work.

Yes, however they aren't practical for many people since they aren't compatible with Yahoo's unlimited music service. Many people would rather get a Zen Micro or Sleek and pay $60 a year to Yahoo to fill up their player with music rather than pay over $,000 to Apple to fill up their 4 gig player with music at 99 cents a song. With the Yahoo service, one can also change the music in their player without additional cost.

With Creative's Nano and Nano Plus, one can use a rechargeable AAA battery. Rechargeable AAA batteries are great since most chargers can charge 4 at a time. Four nimh AAA rechargeable batteries and a charger can often be purchased for under $20.
With the ipod Nano, once the charge in the built in battery runs out, one can't listen to it until it is recharged. With the Creative Nano Plus, one just switches to another battery(remember I just mentioned how AAA nimh batteries can be conveniently charged 4 at a time?). Taking an ipod Nano on a long trip would be annoying. While the player is small, the notebook computer one would need to carry with it to recharge the player is quite large. I would much rather carry a few extra AAA batteries than a notebook computer(I as many others don't even own a notebook computer).

I was going to buy a Zen Stone until I found out that it doesn't have an AA or AAA battery. I prefer not to buy .mp3 players that don't have user replaceable batteries.
An AA .mp3 player would be great- slightly thicker, but <i>much</i> longer battery life.
There's a point in miniaturization that goes too far into 'style' and away from simple ergonomics.
Human eyes aren't getting more powerful and fingers aren't getting smaller, so many new devices have become too tiny to use easily.

Cannot install mp3 player on new lap

Hi there,
I have a Creative Zen 40GB and I've had it for about a year. I used the installation cd to install it on my pc last year, however soon after the installation cd snapped. Recently I have bought a laptop, which uses Windows XP, and I thought that i'd be able to install it using downloads from the website. After a month of downloading about 30 different things, i'm still unable to use my mp3 player on my laptop.
Does Creative still send out replacement installation discs?
And does anyone have any tips at all?

This sounds very similar to me. I recently got a new XP computer (albeit not a laptop) and had all sorts of problems. At the time of me getting the Zen and the current time, the software (Creative MediaSource Organizer) had been updated.
I had to download the latest version (never knew there was one until I posted a thread here) and then with some help from the very kind people here and tinkering myself, I sorted it. My specific problem was that it wasn't allowing me to burn CDs, but the whole thing and your situation were inter-linked.

The audio device is not working in my brand new hp

I bought the pavilion f4j02la and after 10 days of using it, out of the blue, the sound speaker on the desk appeared with an "x" as if I had put mute on it. It appears to be no device no more and the automatic "help" that searchs for the problem and then fixes it, says that it can't fix anything and that probably one or more audio services are not being executed. It is still brand new.
So far i've tried downloading a bunch of new drivers, uninstalling the ones I already had, restarted the computer, erased evertything I had and try to set it back as when I just bought it... and this support hp is unreacheble.
I'm all the way to Germany where I just found out they are not in the market... so, if anyone has any idea how can I fix this I will really really appreciate it.

A dvd will not eject from my brand new IMac. I have done every suggestion in the help area. Any suggestions on how to get this DVD out of the computer?

My brand new IMac will not eject a DVD. I have tried everything that was suggested in "help". It didn't recognize the dvd, and whenever I try to eject it, it is not highlighted. I have tried to restart while holding the track pad, and nothing happened at all. The dvd is from the library...so it needs to be returned! Any other suggestions?

Have you tried all of these?
1. Pressing the Eject key while opening the iMac.
2. Pressing the Eject key while closing down the iMac.
3. Holding down the Option key while restarting the iMac.
4. Using Disk Utility to try to Mount, Repair and Eject the disk.
5. Holding down the Mouse while restarting the iMac.
6. Pressing the O and F keys while closing down the iMac.
7. Opened Applications > Utilities >Terminal and typed in 'drutil tray eject'.

FCP 7 will NOT open with my brand new Retina MacBook Pro, any ideas?

I got my brand new retina-display macbook pro in the mail today. I installed Final Cut Studio 3, with dmg file I made from original disk, right serial numbers etc. Upgraded to 7.0.3 through the software update.
Final Cut opened once (which was fine) and I realized I had to install magic bullet looks to keep working on a project I had been working on.
After I did so FCP would not open. Thinking this was the problem, I completely uninstalled all plugins using Red Giants official uninstall app. I also deleted the Boris continuum plugins lots of people say is a problem in Mountain Lion with FCP startup issues.
I then used FCS remover to completely remove the entire suite and restarted, emptied the trash etc for a clean slate.
Upon reinstalling, Final Cut will not open. The startup screen shows up, goes through profiling for RT extreme etc and then closes and the icon disappears from the dock. Everything else opens, motion, compressor, dvd studio pro. Everything is fine except for Final Cut. I have trashed preferences and reinstalled numberous times and triple checked there are no rogue plugins lying around. Nothing seems to work. The only thing I haven't tried is restoring the machine to factory settings and starting from scratch.
This is incredibly frustrating, does anyone have any insight?

Thanks David. I wiped the machine and rinstalled Lion and started from scratch again which was a bummer but worked. I feel like the earlier plugins I installed had something to do with it.

IChat will not launch from my brand new iMac - What do i need to do?

Just purchased a brand new iMac 24". Really nice machine except that iChat will not launch. I click on the icon but it just bounces once and does nothing. Any ideas what i need to do please?

Very odd.
OK I think we have at least one app that has not installed properly.
It could also be that a Font is missing. Certain Apple Apps will not launch if Helvetica is not active in the Font Book.
There are two ways to reinstall the Application.
Both are listed here in Ryan's FAQ.
Both methods require that you download the Combo Install and run that as well.
This catches all the iChat Updates that come with OS updates so that iChat and the OS are at the same level.
You might want to try the Combo Update on it's own first before the Reinstall as it often sorts things.
The link in the FAQ to downloads may not work now since the Apple Site has been reorganised.

My iPod Nano will not sync with my brand new Mac Air...will charge

My iPod nano (touch) will not sync with my iTunes on my brand new Macbook Air. It will charge my iPod and give the option to eject the iPod, but it will not recognize my iPod to sync. Any ideas why and how to fix it?

Hey all, I had to call Apple Support to resolve the issue as nothing on the web provided an answer. So for all you out there having the same problem, here's the ituation and full resolution, so you can save time and money (if your product's warranty is expired).
Situation: I bought a brand new Mac Air on 12/7/12 and tried to sync my 6th generation iPod nano (previously configured to a PC) with no sucess. ITunes was only allowing me to charge and eject the nano.
Solution:
1. Go to View>sidebar
2. In the sidebar, click "iPod" under the Devicies category
3. Click "Music" section next to "Summary" under the status bar
4. Make sure "Sync" box is checked with your preferred preferences underneath
5. Click "Sync" in bottom right corner of window
Apparently, iTunes 11 is quite different and the sidebar with usual options and playlists does not appear unless selected in the "View" drop-down.

We have just installed our brand new MacMini Server 10.7. Since then, we cannot connect from outside our LAN (at home, at others offices, ...) to our VPN (who run on the MacMini). Our clients are Apple Only (Mac, iPhone, iPad) and they use the "plain-vanila-Apple-VPN-Client".
The connection problem does not occur when the client is on the same subnet than the server.

There is no router between the server and the Internet : just an ADSL modem, no PPPoE or whatever, the WAN IP is set on the server directly. The firewall is activated (GRE, ESP, L2TP... ports are all open. Allowing all the traffic doesn't help. The client can connect to the server and the IPSec connection seem to be established, so I don't think the problem is here), and the Lion Server acts as a NAT (which by the way doesn't work as it was in SLS: it won't work for any local subnet different from 192.168.2.x??) for my local network. I tried to reinstall the system completely twice, with the same results.

Premiere Pro CS5 will not install on a brand new PC

I am trying to install CS5 on a brand new PC running Windows 8.1 Pro . The installer says that my computer does not meet the requirements to install Premiere and AfterEffects. However, I know that the hardware meets at least the minimum requirements. Any ideas on how to bypass this and install the two components? THanks.

CS5 has not been tested on Windows 8.1 Pro.
64 bit support is required for After Effects and Premiere Pro CS5

ITunes doesn't "see" MP3 player device

Any thoughts? My computer knows the device is plugged in. Windows Media Player knows the device is plugged in. iTunes doesn't. I'm sure it's some silly setting I haven't clicked or unclicked or something along those lines.

As Meg already pointed out, you won't be able to sync the device directly with iTunes.
However, if all you need to do for the MP3 player to find the songs is copy them to the device, find the device in "My Computer" and open it. Leave this window open.
In iTunes, select the songs you want to copy to it, then drag the selection into the open Explorer window. The files will be copied to that location.
