I have 2 Problems
1 . Driver not found for the PCI Modem -
2. Optical mouse stops working suddenly -QLX Mouse
i have reinstalled the XP before reinstalling i had no problem with mouse it working fine

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

As I understand it you reinstalled Windows XP and now you have devices that are not being installed correctly? I would suggest that you visit the Compaq Presario V2000 CTO Notebook PC Drivers page and ensure that ALL your drivers and software are up to date. I would start with any BIOS and Firmware updates first than ensure your Drivers are up to date before moving on to your software.

MacBook 2008 wifi suddenly stopped working and says no wifi hardware. Took it to an apple shop, they said it could be the airport card but wouldn't do anymore then that.
Any help on how to fix this? How do I know if it is the airport card or not?

Go to the iFixit.com and Powerbookmedic.com web sites. They have parts and installation instructions. To install an Airport card is fairly easy.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. We can't know. You have not told us what exactly the problem is. If there are any warnings, you need to provide them along with other info like the crash logs. If not you have to explain the situation in more detail. Just saying that it doesn't work anymore is not particularly useful.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

Usb optical mouse doesn't work on MacBook Air
Hi, I need a mouse for my MBA but I only found a cheap USB optical mouse that i've used several times on my pc and worked perfectly fine, I tried using it on my MBA but it doesn't work. I searched in system information to see if at least the mouse is detected and surprisingly it is detected. The mouse has no brand and i don't think it needs any type of driver. What should i do?

Elements 11 suddenly stops working and program closes
After a few minutes of working on a collage or photo book page in elements 11 a message appears saying the program has stopped working, and the program closes. I have 4 GB RAM, 100 GB free space on a 287 GB hard drive, and a 64 bit version of windows 7. What's going on?
Added to aboev comment. Even in when in the Metric (cm) Photo Project Units setting, if you select the Horizontal orientation under Create\Photo Collage the whole application will crash. Tried this several times (even after resetting preferences per ~bridge_mastero~ above.
BTW, Thank you ~bridge_mastero~, at least your suggestion allowed this application to partially work. Adobe needs to get this bug fixed! -
PS/2 keyboard and mouse suddenly stop working
This problem only started happening today (it occurred twice). My keyboard and mouse suddenly become unresponsive after a few hours of use, yet everything else seems to be working (video kept playing). I plugged in a USB mouse and it worked fine, so I could reboot.

Optical mouse repeatedly stops working
I have a Logitech optical corded mouse that I have used successfully with my iMac for a long time. In the last month or so, it will periodically stop working -- no cursor appearing on the screen. To get it working again, I have to unplug from the iMac and replug into the same or any other USB port. It is happening more and more frequently. All other USB devices work correctly in every USB port on the iMac without any such problem. I did not install any new software before the problem began, other than regular installations of Apple updates from Software Update. My diagnosis: For reasons unknown, I need to buy a new mouse. Any other suggestions? Thanks much.

USB optical mouse won't work in PS/2 port
I have a lenovo USB optical wheel mouse that I want to plug into the PS/2 mouse port (I need to free up the USB port for something else). I have a green USB to PS/2 adaptor that works fine with a borrowed logitech USB mouse and also works fine with a microsoft USB mouse. Any ideas why it won't work with a lenovo (or IBM) USB mouse?
My system is a ThinkCentre M51 type 1843-wnv running win xp pro. Have 2.5 GB DDR RAM and an ATI Radeon 4550 in the PCIe 2 slot. HDD is a WD Caviar Black 500 GB with 32 cache.

No, however, I've encountered similar issues with mice and keyboards using USB -> PS/2 adapters.
I'd suggest another solution: A simple USB hub. No external power is necessary for mice and keyboards so you can use whatever hub is least expensive. A hub will also provide you with extra USB ports that you can use with other devices. You can never be too rich or too thin or have too many USB ports
