Usb phone trouble

When I plug my droid bionic in with the charging chord it is telling me that the device plugged into the usb is drawing to much power and it is going to turn the usb off. I have used this to charge and summit data to my mac before. Any suggestions?

I'm trying to connect my N95 to my WinXP Pro (SP3) system. The system identifies the phone, but fails to install it. I switched USB outlets, but the problem is still unsolved.
What else should I do?

Next time you plug your phone,the USB Phone Parent driver will be automatically installed (or upgrade drivers from Device Manager in Control Panel > System > Hardware. If not, try to uninstall all nokia apps (pc suite,etc), rename the file above, then install the nokia apps.

i cant connect my phone on my computer using PC suit, it always shows Nokia N80 USB Phone Parent then a window will pop up showing "Cannot install this hardwear" wat can i do???? PLS Help

same problem. USB PnP tries to install the driver time and time againe - no good. always "Fatal error"
- removed PC-suite 6.8.X...
- removed other Nokia SW using the cleanup
- re-installed latest PC-suite
- rebooted and rebooted
- tried even to installa only USB drivers
always "Fatal error" in USB driver Parent etc. installation
bluetooth works fine, but USB cable not. I would'n need it for anything else than to update firmware. I bought my N80 as discounted just last week - of course with original SW from May 2006 + operator (elisa) add ons, SIM locking was removed fortunately :-).
Nokia_PC_Suite_rel_7_0_8_2_eng_web ... worked otherwise ok. but not the section to update the firmware.

Usb phone parent fatal error, yet again!

Hi there, i need some help.
i've searched through all the other threads and nothing seems to work for this problem.
i have windows media home edition, and i have installed pc suite fine, it works ok, but i would like to use the video manager, and i can't use it without updating to the latest version, this is where my problems start.
i've updated to the latest version abd i keep getting the usb phone parent fatal error message, i've uninstalled pc suite on several occasions, i've removed everthing nokia from my pc and re-installed pc suite. admittedly i'm not brilliant with computers so i haven't tried the really advanced stuff with devcon i think it is, as i wouldn't know where to start. my phone works fine with previous pc suite, but as soon as i update it to the latest version, it all goes to rats poo with the fatal error message and won't connect, any help would be greatly appreciated

Looking4 Driver for VoIP USB Phone (C-Media CM109)

I've got a VoIP USB Phone for Skype (form SPC telecom). It brings a CM109 chipset. The case is that this phone only works in XP (SPC provides you only the driver for XP) although I was almost able to make it run in Linux-Ubuntu Hardy with some additional tools. I would like to use it in Mac however I do not have the drivers. I was looking for in the net but C-Media.com.tw web site is off (where it is supposed to be the driver for this common chipset)
Anyone has had the opportunity of using these sort of phones in Mac?
Any help will be highly appreciated

Sometimes it happens to me too... My advice: in Audio MIDI Setup Utility try checking and then unchecking the mute box in audio out section.
This should modify the core audio settings unfreezing the software and fixing your problem.

HELP - USB Phone parent and 5530 and 6120c

It was impossible to connect my mobilephones (6120 classic and the new 5530 xpress music) to my PC via USB.
Everytime I connect, there is a messagge "nokia usb phone parent" ... impossible to install this device.
My OS is Windows XP sp2
Nokia PC suite version 7.1
Nokia OVI suite version 1.1.
I read other topic, but in my folder windows\system32\drivers THERE ISN'T a file named WDF01000.sys!!!
WHat could I do???

Hi:
You download the drivers onto another PC with a CD burner, and you burn them to a CD.
Insert the CD into the PC's DVD drive and install them that way.

N82 - Nokia N82 USB Phone Parent

When i try to start Nokia PC Suite or Nokia Ovi Suite, it says the driver is not found. My laptop tries to find it (Windows vista) and than i get the message:

Class is not registered.
Previously Nokia Pc Suite worked fine.

p, as the drivers gets installed, it fails to install the driver for "NOKIA N8-00 Phone Parent". Please help

USB phone distortion with Equium L20-198

Hi
When I use a US Robotics 9600 USB phone on this machine, the voice picked up by the microphone is very distorted (crackly and with interference). Sound heard from the other person is fine. The phone works fine on my other laptop and PC, and this is the second phone unit that does this. Installation according to USR instructions and identical to other PCs, and using Skype. Have tried all 3 usb ports and adjusted sound settings but no improvement.
Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply. I have checked out US Robotics and they are unable to give any help. I am wondering if the USB properties for my L20 are different from those on my other PCs. So, I am really looking for general advise on USB problems rather than specific advice for the phone. I have tried the following troubleshooting since my last mail with interesting results.
1. Changing all the audio settings I can find makes no difference
2. I have tried to update the drivers for the USB controllers and hubs and the Intel chip, and received the message that no more recent ones could be found
3. If I connect the phone through a USB 1.0 hub without external power I get a message saying there is insufficient power and the phone does not work at all (phone is rated at 190mA on its label). If I connect it through this hub with external power, the original problem remains.
4. If I connect the phone through a powered USB 2.0 hub it works fine!!
When I connect the phone direct to the laptop I get a message that the hi speed device is connected to a lo speed USB port and would work better in a high speed one. However, the ports on the L20-198 are described as USB 2 in the product details. I also get this message on my other PCs, but the phone works fine on them. When the phone is connected to the L20 through the USB 2.0 hub the message does not appear.
I am not sure if this information is any help for you to suggest how I might try to improve USB performance or functioning to allow the phone to work better.

USB phone not recognised

My new late 2008 MacBookPro does not recognise my Thuraya-SO2510 when connected via USB. The command ioreg *-p IOUSB -l* returns no relevant entries.
My old 2007 MacBookPro correctly recognised my Thuraya-SO2510 when connected via USB.

I am interested to use Thuraya Vehicle Docking Kit (By SatCom) in my project. My hardware contains a PIC microcontroller (Having host USB support). I want to interface this Thuraya Set to the PIC controller using USB and want to develop an embedded application which will configure the Thuraya Set and will make me able to use Thuraya Set as phone. But the problem is that I could not get any technical low level details or commands as you shown in your question. Could you please help me in getting this USB Interface details. Force unmount of USB phone connection

I'm running 10.6.2 on an MBP. My wife has a Sony Ericsson G90 and I have a modu. Both phones have PC software, not Mac.
I have previously set up the G900 PC Suite on a VirtualBox VM, and run it successfully. I have three G900 devices in networking, representing the three modes the G900 can be in when communicating via USB. However, I'm finding that when in file transfer mode on the G900, I can't unmount the G900 from the Mac and pick it up in the VM. Every time I connect, iPhoto fires up. When I unmount, it just mounts again.
THe same thing happens with my modu phone. I have the modu PC Suuite installed in the VM, but I can't get it connected. Every time I try to unmount, it immediately re-mounts.

USB Phone

I have been given a USRobotics 9600 handset that I have plugged into my laptop. The digital display say VO IP-PHONE.
Beyond that I have no idea how to make it work.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
When I plugged the handset into the USB on my laptop for the first time I got a message to say software had been installed.
I am clueless about what to do next.

By default the USB audio drivers can be installed for that device, this MAY allow you to use that device as a mic/speaker in Skype but nothing more. It requires additional software to interact with Skype. I believe this device uses SkypeMate to interact with Skype. You will need to get a version of SkypeMate that is compatible with the Skype 6.x Desktop releases. I have supplied a link to that version.

Since SkypeMate uses the Desktop API, which is slate to be discontinued next month. Skype 6.10 may be the final version this software works with. You may have to remain at this version to continue to use the device unless you find another solution that will make it work in the future releases.

I phone troubles HELP ME!!!!

my iphone will not let my listen to my music every time i press play my volume does not work. but when i have someone call me it works what can i do?
like if i talk to siri it works but when i have my phone on volume it doesnt make that noise when i text or play music or games just only when someone calls me....what the **** is wrong!?

What has been done so far?
Is the iPhone plugged in?
Reset or restarted the iPhone?
Closed and reopened iTunes?
Restarted the computer?
Tried a different USB port or cable?

Faxing with usb modem trouble

I found out the you could fax right from the Mac and was thrilled, but hit a snag when I discovered that you could only do it through a analog modem that connected directly to your phone line (DSL or ADSL doesn't work) so I bought the apple usb modem, at first I could send faxes just fine but couldn't receive them, so I tried attaching a 2wire filter on the phone line too filter the DSL out. Now I can receive part of the fax, but only part of it. Some times half the page and sometimes jst one line. what am I doing wrong now????? Please help I've been trying for 2 weeks to get this going, and I'm so close, but this ain't horse shoes. Going Crazy.

What happens if you take the DSL modem out of the picture altogether (unplug it and any DSL filters from the phone wall jack) and plug in the  USB modem into the phone wall jack all by itself? Can you send/receive faxes okay then?

USB cable trouble

I'm out of the country, and my iPhone USB wire that I use to connect to the wall adapter and my laptop doesn't charge my phone or even recognize that it's attached.
Is the wire busted? or is my iPhone not working-- both, to the eye, are in perfectly good shape.

or AC Adapter - USB Cable - iPhone you can not get a charge?
Have you tried to charge it on a computer?
It is hard to say what part it is without more testing. And sadly if you needed a replacement you need to be in a country that offers iPhones. As they may carry the spare parts.

SkypeMACMate for USB phone Audio problems

Not sure where to post this.
A friend of mine has a Voip cordless phone (Senda SE-W1D) he no longer uses with Windows driver. I'm interesting in buying it off him if I can get it to work. i downloaded SkyeMACMate and managed to get the phone connected to Skype. I could see me contacts, dial numbers etc. on the phone, only that I couldn't hear anything. I turned on the USB device option in Skye, but still nothing. Then I turned on the USB device in the system preferences and managed to hear the dialing tone it makes as it dials the number, but as soon as it finished dialing everything went silent again..
has anyone any ideas what it could be?
And surely there must be a way of using the phone without turning off the inbuilt speakers of the iMac

I found the answer on Skype form. Apparently there is an audio problem with the latest version of Skype. I downloaded the previous version (2.5.0.85) and it now works fine.
