USB Port error on start up
Last night suddenly i plug a mouse on usb port. Then something show on leftbelow on the screen, something that show error on USB port. Then i try to restart my laptop. Is Presario C300EA. After the first screen bios it shows all boot working normal but show error like this :
Error 0701: USB Over Current On HC/Port - Bus:00H Dev :1DH Fun:01H / Port:00H

Is anything i can do to fix it myself ???

No, it is integrated into the system board, to replace it you would need to replace the whole board. Have you tested it with a different USB mouse?

Eğer böyle bir özelliği yoksa, periyodik olarak kimlik bilgisini sorgulayabilirsiniz. Ancak bunu ana programınız içinde farklı bir "thread" içinde asıl işinize (örneğin ölçüm alması için cihaza komut göndermek veya ölçüm sonuçlarını okumak gibi) paralel olarak yürütmeniz gerekir.

I have a T410s (Type 2912-3AG) that has some kind of issue with the USB ports.
After starting W7 the USB posrts work fine, but if I disconnect any device that is connected to them it will then not reconnect.
Furthermore the computer is not able to shut down (everytime I have to keep the On/Off button pressed).
I would like to try to reinstall the Lenovo driver for the USB ports, can anybody help me finding the right driver?

Alternatively, you can copy the contents of the driver CD on a USB drive using another PC and then via it you can install the driver on your Edge.

My problem - when syncing and error messages comes up: iTunes could not sync calendars to the iPhone because an error occurred while margin data." I've tried turning the phone off and back on, & tried both USB ports but get the same thing. What can I do next since it doesn't give me even one clue as to what the error would be?
Before I started to resync calendars one by one as suggested in the troubleshooting article, I remembered something that came up in a sync when I first attempted : a 'which one do you want to keep' message about a repeating calendar event, which came up with three options, one from Calendar, and two from iCal on the phone. I deleted that event, then went through the calendar resync one by one, and all seems OK now.
In Music there is a way to find 'ghost' items that show up as grayed-out on the menus, so that you can try to reassociate or delete them. It would be nice to have a similar way to work with Calendar!

I ve upgraded my MBP to SL and since 3/4 days ago i ve been experiencing problems whit the USB port. A nice "error window" pop up saying that one or few USB port is driving too energy and therefor will be shut down. The error continued to pop again many times, sometimes 5 of this windows pops up simultaneously. Yesterday i took a decision (a big step) and reset my mac (after trying other solutions and check ups such as reset the parameter random access memory (PRAM) and nonvolatile RAM (NVRAM) and hardware check ups). Been there done that. I ve decided to install first tiger and no error was shown, then i ve upgraded to leopard and again no error was shown... At last when i ve finally installed SL and reboot the system the first thing that showed up was was that nice error...At least this time it shouws up only at start up... I must conclude that there is a kind of bug in the SL system is there anyone that has an alternative solution to this annoying problem, apart from changing mac ....=D....?Marco,
Just to let you know you are not alone. I have a similar problem with my MacBook but the message does not seem to affect operation. It occurs when I plug in my USB speakers, but the speakers work just fine and the message does not reappear unless I unplug them and plug them in again. I chatted with a specialist at an Apple store and it was suggested that I make an appointment with a "genius". Because it does not appear to affect operation, I am inclined to wait and see if 10.6.2 changes this behavior.

Random Errors fix one another pops up - One USB port won't install device's drivers
I am trying to get this computer to work and every time I fix something another issue shows up. It is like a sinking boat in a carton. First it was slow and just acting up. After a few tweaks I got RestoreHealth to run and fix the issue. No SFC isn't reporting
any errors. For the longest time chkdisk wouldn't run manually but every startup it would run says checking.. fixing... fixed. This would happen on every startup now that is solved and it reports back okay. There were some drivers not working got
those working. Visual Studio had some sensor drivers that were reporting errors to it is uninstalled to rule out that. Currently one USB port won't install any drivers for the device plugged in, or use a driver already installed. Other ports work and all the
devices plugged in work in other ports. I would assume the port is bad but there are some programs that used to work and now don't. I am thinking there is an issue installing programs but I am out of my depth currently.
One think I am wondering is about a line in the CBS.log. I really wish I could find a resource to learn more about how to read the logs. I know how to read some but there are things I just don't get, yet. A link to an article(s) about CBS logs
would be great.

USB Port Extension Error Message?
I purchased a USB port extension device. When I brought it home and plugged it in, I receieved error messages telling me the system memory was too low to support the device? I didn't have anything else plugged in? It worked at Apple Store?
I have the same exact problem, but what's weird is, that it worked before. I was able to get songs onto my nano initially, and then it started to have problems.

Disk write error, can't see iPod in usb port, could not format or restore
I have had them all folks. I won this schuffle in a golf tourney with closet to the hole, I wish I could take that shot back and shank one. In short the iPod new sw releases are crap. Here is what I did:
Plugged the ipod in a usb port in the back of my desktop to restore, would not restore from the high speed usb's in the frt of my Gateway, why? who knows.
I did not update the ipod when it asked me to upgrade after the restore, however, I did upgrade iTunes to version 6.0.1.3.
This config seems to be working, I can go into the ipod, delete the songs that are there and use the autofill and it has worked several times now. Prior to this I would get a disk write error, could not see the ipod in the usb, yada, yada, yada.
Apple has a serious problem with the latest sw as is evident from this forum. If I helped one person out with this post I am thankful as I am a tech kinda dude, not too much and have played with this, reinstalled the sw, faced east and chanted to Mecaa while rubbing the side of my machine, to no avail.
While I type this email message it's still working, put a pound in the till folks. This is a first kids, have not been able to do this several times in a row without some sort of error.
It's all trial and error, hope this helps some of you, let me know.

I keep getting 'USB port is drawing too much power error'
I have an old 2010 13" MacBook Pro. Just tonight, it started giving me a 'USB port is drawing too much power' error. The only thing I had plugged in to my MacBook was my iPhone cable (without the phone) and an Intuos tablet I recently bought. At first I thought it was the tablet, because the tablet started acting wonky after that error message (it worked just fine earlier in the day).
After restarting, the tablet works with no problem so I thought the problem must be the iPhone cable. The thing is, I read in some other forum that a cable not plugged to the iPhone shouldn't draw power, and they said if it does then it's a sign for a short circuit. My iPhone cable is a little bit worse for wear, to be honest.
So my question is: Is the problem my cable and if it is is it dangerous if I use this cable to charge my phone with a USB wall charger? 2nd, Is there anyway to fix this other than buying a new iPhone cable?

Equium A200-26D - Error code 19 in device manager on USB ports
I have decided to try Windows 7 but the usb ports don't work in device manager all the usb root hubs have a yellow triangle and the device status says "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)".
I've tried uninstalling them through device manager and restarting the computer and downloading and reinstalling the vista drivers, as I can't seem to find Windows 7 drivers, but none of that fixed anything. I was wondering if there was anything else I could try or if I could get a link to the right drivers.Firstly I'll state I know first hand that sarcasm and being generally rude via a forum will not get issue's resolved any faster , but I feel raped by Toshiba and 3rd parties and obliged to post

Ok so, I get this machine home , TOSHIBA EQUIUM A210
everythings fine and dandy for about 1 week
A) DVD DRIVE
-At first I notice the DVD drive acting funny , reading discs then not reading them it lost all function except the ability to read ,ok not a problem I have a home PC that can burn discs ,I'll let that one slip .
B) PAINT FLAKING OFF
the paint on front panel "where the lights are " starts to flake and fall off .
-Ok I'll put that down to wear and tear but its still only a month old
C) OVER HEATING (MEGA) Burnt my daughters arm .
- As I mentioned above I do graphics , this machine main purpose was to browse the internet ,maybe a few world docs , not render out 9 million polyz , I fully understand this concept .
but it started to overheat , I'm not talking about a little bit warm , I'm talking full on ,that much you could cook an egg on . not only did the machine but also the power pack . remembering this machine is still less than 2 months old .
The heat was that intense that it burnt a perfect rectangle onto my 3 year old daughters arm .
-arguing with my wife not to sue for faulty/dangerous electrical goods I phoned customer services up , and spoke to a very nice gentlemen that was happy to help .
Excellent Laptop getting picked up and taken away to get fixed ----SEE CUSTOMER SERVICES NOTES .
I was that considerate that I re-formatted the machine ,dragged all the essential tools onto the desktop ,you know control panel , system setting ect . and even made a nice jpeg schematic where the faults are "because I know how much off a pain in the teeth it can be working on the tech side and anything I can do to help "
1 or 2 weeks later I get my newly refurbished laptop back .
Superb , or so I thought ...................
Jump forward 6 months later , just before the manufactures warranty runs out IRONICALLY
Inbetween random faults and the paint starting to fall of AGAIN ,
The machine starts to switch its self randomly off ! without prior warning .
"Ok , maybe it was just a system fault , I'll restore .
Nope still doing it , Maybe its the battery not holding charge and it's struggling to detect it ?????
Nope its still cutting out ................
May I also add after the return off the machine ,which in my professional opp " YOU JUST REPLACED THE SHELL AND BLEW THE DUST OFF " . --------- PLEASE POST CUSTOMER SERVICES NOTES ...."maybe I'm wrong ?"
Now due to the machine randomly switching it's self off it caused massive corrupt sectors and chkdisk errors and loss of data ."some of which was costly , but functionally I'm an intelligent spices I managed to back MOST data up .
Ok so not a problem It's getting old (1year and 3weeks to be exact ) , its generally used for Internet ,theres some work and some personal photos ,nothing thats going to rock your world .
I'll use it for that .

Now this can be caused by dust ,also quoted by one of your ignorant members of staff .--

THIS IS CAUSED by poor programming and bad development
BIOS :
Its called BIOS lock "and yes i did try , TOSHIBA , ADMIN , 12345678 blah blah blah " effectivily the machines decides to encrypt or maybe not encrypt a password , just depends how it feels that day .
Toshiba know about this fault and offer a fix ##maybe at a price ,just depends on what sales rep you get ##

I have an iPhone 4. It is in great condition, always protected. A couple months ago, it randomly went black and wouldn't turn on. I put it in recovery mode, plugged it in to my MacBook Pro and would get error code 2001 then I'd get error code 2006. I read some different forums and many people said to try using a different USB port and different cords. The last cord I tried, worked and my phone was back. Last night, my phone did the same exact thing. So I used the same method I used last time, however nothing has worked. I tried plugging it in to a PC and that didn't work either. This seems like a hopeless problem that's going to continue to happen. Any advice?
Soooooooo.... You obviously need to restore the device
It seems that you have tried several options to restore it. What I would do is leave it plugged it and hold down the Home button AND the Power button together till you see the white apple appears. Then let go of the Power button but continue to hold the home button. You should get the message in iTunes again saying that the iPhone needs to be restored. Hit OK then RESTORE.

Non operational USB ports and stuck on grey apple start up screen
Two problems
1. USB ports are non operational. I believe I fried them by accident. When hooking up an external USB hub, I may have connected an incorrect power supply. Now the USB ports on the front and back of my tower are non operational/do not work. As a work around, I bought a USB pci card and installed it. This has been working for my keyboard, mouse and external hard drives but my iPhone will not sync. My ilok is recognized in system profiler but I cannot download anything to it.
Anyone know how to fix this? Is it possible I fried my main USB port?
2. I was reading different threads and a possible solution to the USB port problem was to reset my PMU. I have no clue why or if this would fix it but I gave it a try. Disconnected power supply and everything else after shutting down the computer. Found the pmu button on logic (or is it the motherboard or is it the same thing?). Pressed it, waited 20 seconds, put computer back together, connected power supply mouse and keyboard and tried to power up. The computer would not power up and the front power light was on but would not power up/boot. In a dumb panic, I opened up the tower and pressed the pmu button again without disconnecting the power. This seemed to work bcause my computer powered up! A red light on the logic board turned on and I got to the grey apple screen. This is where it froze. Hard reset, powered up, same problem. Unplugged power supply and tried again. Same problem. Tried pmu reset (unpluged power this time) and a repeat of the first pmu attempt. I tried starting up with cmd opt o p (I forget the exact letters but it was a reset with starting chimes), then I tried reinstalling with boot DVDs. It would get through the first DVD then restart and get stuck. Finally, I got it to accept second Boot DVD and finish installing and tried starting in safe mode. Got to safe mode and went to disk utility and checked first aid. No reported repairs necessary. Copied all files needed from HD and shut down. The computer did not shut down properly (this has been an ongoing problem before all these current problems and it has had problems booting fulling with hard resets needed once and a while). From here I tried restarting, pulling power supply, staring again and it keeps gettin stuck on grey apple loafing screen. The spinning wheel spins and then gets stuck, fans increase in speed and nothing. I can get back to safe mode either.
I'm very wordy I guess but more info the better, right?
The tower is very very very dusty. I will compress air it to clean it and attempt to clean connectors with alcohol. I will let it sit over night disconnected an then try powering it up.
What could the possible problems be? What can i do? Any suggestions on proper cleaning. I know how to ground properly and not to use a vacuum. I might have pressed the pmu button more than once. I'd the battery dead? Could it be a power supply problem. ****, I'm out of ideas and I really tried solving without posting but I'm poor and need my computer! Help!Welcome to the forums. OK, first, let us know more specifically which of five flavors of Power Mac G5 you have. Find the serial number on the build plate on the inner bottom panel just below the CPUs and use this site to get the exact configuration:

In the meantime, assuming that you haven't replaced the PRAM battery in quite a while or ever, that would be a good thing to do.
Getting dust out of the system is a must. The power supply is especially prone to dust buildup. You might want to deal with that by taking the machine outside, as it can get pretty thick coming out. -

Sometimes you have to reset the SMC two or three times for it to work, don't know why. I've seen that error message before and 100% of the time it was fixed with an SMC reset. I suppose it's possible that your keyboard or mouse IS drawing too much power, do you have access to another you could try?
