USB Port Extension Error Message?

I purchased a USB port extension device. When I brought it home and plugged it in, I receieved error messages telling me the system memory was too low to support the device? I didn't have anything else plugged in? It worked at Apple Store?

I have the same exact problem, but what's weird is, that it worked before. I was able to get songs onto my nano initially, and then it started to have problems.

There are two types of USB 2 devices - low power which consume 100 milliamperes or less from the USB bus and high power which consume up to 500 milliamperes. Your flash drive is probably a high power device and is overloading the USB bus of your computer. (Some notebooks can support only low power USB devices.)
I know that my MBP's USB ports support high power devices but I've come across reports that not all high power devices will work on the MBA and that might be the case for your flash drive. My guess is it has a large capacity? 32GB or more?

Port 993 error message, now can't set up MacMail for GMail account.

I've been using MacMail for years without a problem. Recently a little exclamation point came up with an error message indicating that the server couldn't connect with the 993 port for my Gmail account. After trying to update my software, restart the program, etc etc I deleted the account, thinking I'd just recreate a MacMail connection to my Gmail account. Not I'm receiving an error message that the server imap.gmail.com is not responding, and I can not set up a MacMail account linked to my Gmail.
I've seen lots of people with this problem, but no sufficient answers to correct it. I am not using a portable device, I am using my iMac to try to make this happen.
Please help! Any incite is much appreciated.

I am trying to connect my iPad mini to my Samsung camera using the USB camera kit, I keep getting the error message ' device to powerful'. Is there anyway to fix this or do I need to take it back?? The shop assistant in Currys assured me it should work and it wasn't cheap at £25 for a tiny wire! The camera is drawing too much power for your iPad. This can happen on cameras which charge their batteries using the USB connection. Make sure that you have the camera set to the correct settings for picture transfer - check the documentation that came with the camera.
Note that you can return the USB kit and get the SD card adaptor or get a powered USB hub if you can't get the camera to work any other way.

I keep getting a "Flash blocker browser settings or extension" error message in Soundcloud after installing fire fox. I have tried flash 11 & 10.3

I keep getting an error message saying "It looks like you have a flash blocker browser settings or extension. Please enable flash to hear sound" error message come up when I try to play music in Soundcloud. I have just installed Firefox on my laptop and upgraded to the latest Flash player. I then tried down grading to Flash 10.3 but this didn't help. I have been watching programs in iplayer and had no problems there. Please help!

I have been through this process several times. It sometimes works and sometimes it doesn't. Running in safe mode proves nothing.
Youtube videos work fine. So flash is working. Hosts file is the default one so nothing blocked). No sit blockers etc. all disabled in add-on manager.
Old Soundcloud works fine. Sometimes the new one does. Most of the time it does not.
Switch to IE8 (yuch) and this gets even worse. Old SC works but new one says I need an update and provides a link. I click the link and MS site says I am a;ready running the most up to date browser.
Bottom line...
1) if you use IE, better go to Windows 7 or 8. Otherwise Soundcloud should be avoided. Sure, the old SC still works ... for now.
2) if you use Firefox, roll dem bones and see what ya get. Maybe it will work. Maybe it won't. But it's a pain to have to keep clearing the cache and cookies to fix the one and only site that has this issue with Firefox 18.
3) go to Chrome if you love google. It seems to be OK.
4) ignore soundcloud all together. It's not going to survive long in this mode.

When trying to load slide shows, gifs, jpg at www.nytimes.com and other sites with graphics I get the error message: QT Unavailable. The QT plug-in requires the QT System Extension, Version 5 or later."
Running W2K, Opera 8.5 QT 7 installed via Itunes. Does not happen in IE or Firefox.

Every time my system updates I get system extension error messages.

Every time my system updates I get system extension error messges. It reads that certain extensions could not be loaded/used which seems to be an apple issue. Unfortunately, unless you have apple care there is no way to contact them. I am on LION and my updates are current. Is anyone else having this issue?

A "clicking noise" is often a sign that a hard drive is malfunctioning. Suggest that you power down the device and take it to an Apple store to have them take a look, or contact Customer Service at Apple for instructions.

Usb ports driver error 37?

i am so frustrated. i have a hp dv5 1251 series and all the sudden the usb ports arent working. it seems to be a driver issue but when i reinstall it doesn't help. it's out of warranty so please help!

Unable to launch extension error message

When I got to Debug As>Adobe Illustrator Extension, I get the following error:
Unable to launch extension. Could not launch Illustrator CC. Please check your installation and ensure that the correct launching path is specified inside Adobe Extension Builder 3 Preferences.
I tried to change the launching path in Preferences>Adobe Extension Builder 3>CC Launching Paths but the "Target Applications Option" doesn't even appear (refer to the picture). How can I fix this problem?

I'm still with you, just having a hard time wrapping my mind around the fact that you reinstalled OS X, which is like shooting a mosquito with a cruise missile, yet the problem remains.

Admittedly there is not much to it, but it should have eradicated the problem.
I would guess that the 17 "hp_" messages have something to do with Hewlett-Packard and in fact I do use an HP printer with the computer. I uninstalled the printer software and reinstalled it. The printer seems to work fine, but the kernel extension error messages still keep appearing. I'm inclined just to delete these 17 kernel extensions and then, if the printer doesn't work correctly, unintall and reinstall the printer software again. Sound sensible?
It certainly does. The only thing I can think of is that the OS reinstallation did not recognize those kernel extensions and left them untouched, AND the HP uninstaller did not remove them, AND the HP installer did not perform correctly. Having suffered through several HP botched software attempts I tend to believe that remains a posssibility.
If you are so inclined, I would remove the troublesome .kext files as you say, then reboot. Be prepared for the printer to stop working, but once you remove them try the printer again anyway. The vast majority of printers do not require any specific downloads since their drivers are already built into OS X.
As a last resort try reinstalling OS X again (I know...) and run Software Update to bring everything up to date. Apple released some new printer drivers a few weeks ago.
Finally, if this doesn't work post the same question as a new topic since I am out of ideas. A new topic will get more attention than unresolved questions with responses.

IPod Nano Drawing Too Much Power From USB Port

My daughter plugged her iPod into the USB port of our iMac today, something she has been doing for months and months, and yet this time she was greeted with an error message telling her that something was drawing too much power from the USB port, so my iMac was shutting down that port. I moved the iPod to another port -- same error message. I moved the iPod to another iMac -- same message. So I am confident that the culprit is the device and not the computer. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue? The iPod is an iPod Nano 7th Generation (current model).

My issue has been solved. The USB cable was bad. I am unsure how to remove my question from the forum ... sorry for taking up anyone's time.
