USB printers and harddrives - HELP!
Dear All I bought an airport Extreme and expected it to work with printers and disks. I use a PC with Windows xp with updated service pack. Does anyone have succes with conecting, printing and sharing files with simarlar setup I have.
The PC can find the printers and disk but no response.
I am ready to buy a new printer and harddrive if anyone can tell witc works.
I have a HP Laserjet 1018 and a Epson Stylus Photo r265. The harddrive is a Lace

I just set a color laserjet usb to airport Extreme. On the Mac it took three minutes. On the windows side about an hour of frustration. Download Bonjour for Windows and use the Apple printer setup function to get you going in the right direction.

I have an Epson Photo RX500 printer scanner attached via USB to my eMac. I am planning to upgrade to Tiger (OS X 10.4.4) and would like to use Bonjour to allow PCs on my home LAN access the printer.
My question is "Is the RX500 compatible with Bonjours or can only certain printers by used, and if so whgere can I find out which printers are Bonjour enabled?"

eMAc Mac OS X (10.3.9)Installing Bonjour for Windows on your PCs will allow them to discover the Epson Printer but not in the way you think.
The Epson Photo RX500 does not have direct support for Bonjour (Zeroconf), only network printers can be configured to support it.
In your case, upgrading to Tiger (10.4.x) and attaching the printer to that Mac and turning on printer sharing will allow the PCs to discover the printer connected to the Mac.
Make sure you install the drivers for the printer on the PCs, if they don't already come with them, so the PCs know the features available in the printer. -
anyone else having problems with USB printers and USB hub. I can use them for a few pages of printing until the printer will hang in the middle of a print and not recognized by the airport anymore. I was of the belief i had to reset the airport (n) but now i think i've discovered all i need to do is turn the printer off and back on....anyone have any clues or suggestions...i'm running 7.1 firmware
Im having similar problems, but without the hub. My parents have there 2 PC's downstairs and the APE base station is also down stairs. The printer is connected to the APE via usb cable and there 2 PC's are connected to the APE also. Some times I able to print from my MBPro and other times I cant. My Dads Pc can print to it also and he occasionally cant print to it. Here is the weird part , it seems when ever my mother prints something from her PC my dads pc and my Mac are unable to print. Were all not try to print at the same, all at different time(just so you no) My Dad then has to re configue his PC and my Mac to be able to print again
Any Help would be greatly appreciated -
I'm thinking about upgrading my old 802.11g router for a new airport extreme. Can it connect to a usb printer and external hard drive at the same time and acutally work. It only has one usb port on the back.
thank you!To add multiple USB printers and/or HDDs, you just first need to connect a USB hub (powered prefereably) to the AirPort's USB port, and then, add the USB devices to the hub.

Now the first question is, when you are saying connecting to personal hotspot, have you always been using the iPhone to connect to the internet? Are you someplace where the only place to connect is available via tethering to the iPhone's celluar network? Or do you have other options? -
I've upgraded to OS 10.8.2 and my Bowers and Wilkins MM-1 Speakers were working fine until today, and now they won't play any sound at all, even though iTunes shows the audio is playing. I've tried both the headphone jack and the USB port. Please help! I don't want to have to be stuck using my internal speakers!

Thanks. I haven't mixed down the audio or checked the number of tracks in Prefs. Good points.
As far as a mixdown goes, I'll definitely give it a try, though I wonder whether or not the tracks will be recognized during mix down recording - given that you can't hear either of those segments in playback. Just have to try.
Re the preferred number of allowed tracks - I'll go check as soon as I send this off, but I'm not sure that applies in this case, since the two Channels containing the segments that are pinked out are not in additional tracks. I should have mentioned that other audio clips and segments on the same Channels in the SAME tracks ARE heard in playback. As are two additional track in the 2nd Sequence. It's only when the two sequences are joined that the pink tinted segments can't be heard. Within the sequence the same audio cuts playback as they should. Thanks again &

Plug the stick and/or card into the appropriate slots on the side of your Air. Do you see icons for the devices appear on the desktop? Click into them to see what files are there.

i bought the iPad and got it home and when I turned it on, all I see is the iTunes logo w/ a usb connector and arrow. How do I clear that and go to the home screen??? HELP!

It's disabled and tells me to connect to iTunes. But when I do that, iTunes wont detect the iPod.I have put the iPod in USB- mode, and by that I mean I have tried connecting with holding the home button when connecting the USB. Help?
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

hi there, I need help .. I have 2 gen ipod touch and I restore my ipod around 11:00 pm and now its 1:20 am and on my screen its the iTunes logo and the usb cord and when I plug my charger in my laptop .. iTunes comes up and this what it saids "iTunes has detected an ipod recovery mode. you must restore this ipod before it can be used with iTunes" so what do I do.. do I let my ipod died right out & then try it .. because I restore it ,... it was beening to slow... so please help me ?

In the attempt of updating my ipod touch, i am faced with the problem of not being able to be connected to the itunes in my computer (windows xp ) because my ipod touch got blocked up, leaving the icon of USB cable and itunes on my touch screen. Please help! My mac is about 6 months old and I was just playing with my keys and stuck it in the USB port and then it crashed and won't turn on, it's not picking up the charger (the little led light isn't on) and pressing the power button does absolutely nothing

Reset the SMC first. If this doesn't work, reset PRAM. Move down troubleshoot with links below. First, SMC reset for MBP models 2009 and later:
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
