USB SB Audigy 2 NX (SB0300) on Windows 7 multiple problems

Hi there,
as the Topic states i have a lot of trouble installing my USB Soundcard under the newly installed Windows 7 [driver, headphones, general sound bass redirection etc.]
Here is what i already tried and (kind of) worked or not..
. Original, official Drivers from Creative Download Page:
Only Vista-Driver available, can't be installed ..
2. Tryed to download beta drivers from the support page:
http://support.creative.com/kb/showarticle.aspx?sid=605
http://support.creative.com/Downloads/searchdownloads.aspx?filename=USB_PCDRVBETA_US__0_ 0097.exe
But as you can see there is no driver at all..
3. Tryed to install the original software from the years old Driver-CD
did not work at all
4. Found in a Forum a link to this beta driver:
http://files2.europe.creative.com/manualdn/Drivers/AVP/50/0x43FDFCA/USB_PCDRVBETA_US__0_0098.exe
installed and working. BUT!
Nothing is really working at all - sure now there's sound coming out of some of my 5. speakers but:
- there is no bass redirection available - the sub remains silent.
- i can't switch to headphonesmode (has an own plug), speakers still running
- there are no Speakersettings, i can't change speakervolumes
Fun Fact:
- If i unplug the sub chinch from the sub/centre cable coming from the USB card, the sub kind of starts working (sounds inaccurat and washy)
I tried to install the speakersetup individualy, not working at all. (someone in some forum somewhere suggested this)
http://files2.europe.creative.com/manualdn/Applications/AVP/055/0xB3F7BC78/CSL_PCAPP_LB_2_40_09.exe
5. Newer Version of the beta driver found:
http://support.creative.com/downloads/download.aspx?nDownloadId=263
exactly the same **bleep** as with the 098 Version ..
6. Found out about the Daniel K Drivers and dlt the 3.8 Audigy Support Pack
Unable to install, the setup is telling me that it's not able to find a installable device ..
Now i'm completly running out of ideas ..
Is there any way to install my SB0300 and make it work as it did under windows XP ?
I'm REALLY looking forward to your suggestions!
Sincerly T4b

Jurel,
Which games in particular are giving you these problems? Also are you using XP SP2? Make sure you have the latest updates for Windows as that might help also. Do you get the stutter in places other than games?

  • SB Audigy 2 NX on Windows 7, speakers + headphone problem

Hi All, I plugged my USB SB Audigy 2NX into a Windows 7 x64 laptop. I have 2.1 Stereo speakers plugged in to the SB 'FRONT' Jack. And sometimes plug a stereo headset into the 'SIDE /PHONES' jack.
This works fine on my XP system. And when I plugged in the headphones, the sound will just play on the headphones
THE PROBLEM IS, on the Win 7 laptop, when I plug the headphones into the Audigy 'SIDE /PHONES' jack, the sound still plays thru BOTH the speakers AND the headphones. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?
USB Sound Blaster Audigy 2 NX
Installed Driver: the Creative Sound Blaster Audio Driver .0.0099 (Feb 200), no errors detected on the install.
    Creative Labs I-Trigue 3330 2.1 Speakers

Ok, thanks. Is the PCMCIA Audigy 2?ZS able to decode from external sources? Or is there a way for the laptop (via software) to decode, effecti'vely only using the NX as a hub to connect to the speakers?Message Edited by Alonso4 on 03-27-200704:54 AM

  • Audigy 2 Value with Windows Vista 32-

I have a situation where I have the beta driver working for my Audigy 2 Value but Windows does not give me a choice to select a 7. setup. It only allows a mono and 2 channel setup. With the Creative program that came with the driver I was able to select 4., but that leaves 3 of my speakers in my 7. setup useless! Is there any program I can use to configure 7. with Vista, just like how Media Source had?

The DAV-BC50 appears to have only stereo analog input ( pair of L/R RCA jacks). You need a cable with a stereo miniplug on one end and 2 RCA jacks on the other. The soundcard should be set to 2-speaker mode. The DAV-BC50 does not have any way accept discrete multichannel from the soundcard nor to accept encoded AC3/DTS from the soundcard. You can use Dolby Prologic II to get all your speakers going, but you should not use processing when playing DirectSound3D games because it will dilute the intended 3D soundfield produced from 2 speakers.

Virtual PC does not support USB.  Windows 7 XP Mode Virtual Machine supports the use of USB devices.  Virtual PC and Windows 7 XP Mode VM are not the same thing!

  • USB 3.0 Not working in Windows 8

    Hello all,
I have a msi 990xa-gd55 and cannot get my usb 3.0 to work with windows 8. Everything worked when I had windows 7 installed, tried installing the windows 7 drivers but they do not work. There is no usb 3.0 windows 8 driver on the download page, anyone else having this problem or found a solution?

Are you using the most recent bios?
    7640vM5.zip 22.5
    http://www.msi.com/product/mb/990XA-GD55.html#/?div=BIOS
Also, try a full cmos clear and see if that helps anything.
No I am not using the most recent bios, just the one that came with it when I bought it. It worked when I had it installed with windows 7, then i had it out for maybe 3 months and built a new comp with it. Do you think flashing to the latest bios would solve the problem? It could not hurt i guess. Also, yes, usb 3.0 is enabled in the bios.

  • Audigy 5 Rx and windows 7 64

I have just purchased the Audigy 5 Rx and windows 7 64 will not install this sound card , I can find in the device manager the Multimedia Audio controller card but when I try to install the drivers windows returns an error in installing them is there a trick or something I am missing , I have tried since Dec 30 with no luck even took the card out and put it back in , I am using a PCIe slot

Look on your CD for a "drivers" folder and then the WDM. You can browse to this in device manager and manually install your drivers by finding your AUDIGY 5, double clicking, then choose update driver, and then browse my computer for driver software. After installing, reboot. Retest the card. I have done this several times over the years when "setup.exe" on the CD wont work.

  • Zen MX Causes "USB Hardware has Malfunctioned" Msg from Windows Xp

MZen MX Causes "USB Hardware has Malfunctioned" Msg from Windows XpKNew? guy here.
I have a THREE MONTH OLD Zen Mx 6gb. I noteced the past several weeks on playback it has started to "miss" or "hiccup" while playinmg back songs. Annoying.
NOW, when I attach it via USB it causes a flag to jump up? above the bottom toolbar that says "USB device not recognized"? One of the devices attached has malfunctioned. Try re-connecting or replacing the unit"
I have tried every port, same thing. I plugged it into two different computers and got the same message.
It still charges and plays what little I have loaded on it, (only about 250 songs)? I just can't add anything.
I have searched for this extensi'vely and the 'help' function on windows is no help at all.
    ANYONE?

QRe: Zen MX Causes "USB Hardware has Malfunctioned" Msg from Windows XpyUhh, Yes.
I used to same cable to attach my Motorola Razr and the computer correctly found it and identified it as such.
I also tried another cable (brand new) same thing.
I went to recovery mode and did a "CLEAN UP" but no dice.
I also got my I.S. tech guy to look into it and on the USB page it say "UNKNOWN DEVICE"? when he tried to delete it it did not help, it just reappears as "UDVC"? Also in looking into it it seems to have no drivers.
He came to this site and tried to do somethinm through here but it did'nt work.
Now in listening to it last night it began to 'skip' or what I call 'HICCUP" terribly. Where a song starts and stops, during the middle of it. ? It's always done it a little but it has been getting more and more common and now? It's WAY worse about it.
It has never been dropped, or nishandled in any way. I bought the clear hard case to protect it. And only has about 300 songs on it. Never used for anything else. No vids no pics, nothing.

  • Audigy 2 Value and Windows 7 64bit driver don't work

my first Audigy SE before Audigy 2 Value (SB0400) worked perfect on Windows 7 64bit
with Audigy 2 Value SB0400 i tried 3 drivers , including the beta from the creative support , original and daniel_k driver and after reboot the windows hangs at LOGO and stays there.

Re: SB Audigy 2 ZS and Windows 7 - Full Package driver?T While Creative has written new drivers and some applications for Windows 7/Vista for the Audigy, they have not re-written or updated all of the original applications on the CD. This card is very old now. What Daniel K. did was take all of the applications or most of them, and tweaked them to properly install and include themselves in the registry on operating systems other than Windows XP. For the full and most recent package, check here:
    http://forums.creative.com/t5/Sound-...009/td-p/53838
If the application you want is not included in his package, then you can try downloading the official Creative version and install it on your system in "compatibility mode" by right clicking the file, and choosing properties, and then the compatibility tab and choosing "Windows XP service pack 2 or 3" and it may or may not function.

  • Usb & sdcard port wont work in windows 7

    Hi all,
my usb & sdcard port wont work in windows 7, also i cant install drivers for coprocesor and the sm bus controller,   I have a macbook pro 13" A1278,
I have tryed to install the drivers from the osx cd,  but to no avail it just wont work,
    Please can anyone help

the reason i ask is base system device can be a few differant things but about 90% of what i have seen it show up is the card reader. try to uninstall anything in device manager that has to do with the mic and restart the laptop. this will allow windows to try to find and install the correct drivers. also open realtek HD audio manager and make sure the mic is not muted.

  • Gigabyte EP45-UD3P Audigy No Sound in Windows 7 (64-bit)

    Hi,
I just installed windows 7 64bit. I have a sound blaster audigy as installed the latest drivers from creative (SBAX_PCDRV_LB_2_8_00.exe). I get no sound out of the card at all. Device manager shows the device is working correctly. I have also picked it as the default in the sound settings. No sound at all.
Running a Gigabyte EP45-UD3P wtih 8gigs of ram. This board has onboard audio which I disabled via the bios. Still got no sound from the audigy.

Wow, that fixed? my problem also by disabling soundblaster enhancements. How were you able to figure that one out? I was trying to figure it'sout also many months ago when I first got windows 7 beta and couldn't do it. Anyway,
Seems like most people don't like this start navigation sound, but I do.
I don't like the fact of having to disable soundblaster enhancements also.
Have you noticed that if you change the windows theme to something else it will actually work?

  • Audigy 2, spdif dropouts windows 7x64

%Audigy 2, spdif dropouts windows 7x64B hello, i have this problem with dropouts in windows 7, every few seconds the sound pops, there's no problem when listening to a stereo signal through the spdif, only with the dts/ac3 passthrough.
i have searched far and wide for a solution for this problem but it seems fruitless.
i saw a thread regarding this error in vista from last year with no solution found...
does anyone else have this problem nowadays? is there a work around or should i just wait for newer drivers?
now my real question is this, is there a creative soundcard that works as intended in windows 7?
i'm thinking of upgrading but i see many similar threads about the x-fi series, i don't want to spend alot of money and come home with the same problem....
    thanks /Bj?rn

    ) this stuff is bananas
i actually stumbled upon a solution!
i put the ac3codec to wave output, speakers as default output in win7 devices.
now if i just start a movie, the dropouts start clicking, most likely clock-error (jitter)
    BUT!
if i start a mp3 in winamp before the movie that locks my reciever to 96khz stereo, and then start the movie wich shifts it to ac3 movie mode, there's no jitter...
    as i said. bananas.

  • Audigy 2zs Gamer and Windows Vista / Windows 7

.Audigy 2zs Gamer and Windows Vista / Windows 7? Hello, I am just wondering if it is a known issue to have really loud static and crackling when playing games using this card in Vista or Windows 7. I had this issue playing Bioshock a few months back on my Vista boot. I never figured out a way to resolve it so I belei've I just eventually uninstalled the driver and used the card without a driver install (not sure but I think this what I did). It worked but I might as well of just ran onboard sound...
Now I have installed and tried to run Windows 7 on a dual boot but I started receiving really loud cracking and popping in Warhammer Online and realized I had not installed a driver for my sound card. I did not expect creative to have a Win 7 driver yet but thought perhaps the Vista driver would work in compatibility mode, it does and sounds awesome and really makes me remember what I am missing without my driver installed on Vista but unfortunatly it randomly starts the crackling and popping again after a while...especially when a lot start happening on screen (pvp raids with many characters on screen and magic effects).
When the crackling starts happening I have no choice but to exit the game and restart the computer to get rid of the noise, but randomly it comes back after a while during gameplay. So as a temporary solution I have installed my onboard sound drivers and have been using that for sound output and my mic port on my sound card for my microphone. I would REALLY love to get my sound issues worked out in both Vista and Win 7 because it sounds SOOO awesome while it's working, the popping though is terrible, I never had that issue in XP.
I know this is an older card but any help would be appreciated!?

One thing you do need to learn is that SHOUTING IS MUCH HARDER TO READ!
But, if you are using Audition 1 and it works with XP, then if you have the chance, I'd stick to that on a new machine. Apart from anything else, it's completely untried with Windows7 and with Vista its a) likely to have problems, and b) going to run slower.
The other part of your question about the 'look' of later versions is that 1.5 looks pretty similar to 1.0, but with 2.0 and 3.0 things have changed somewhat - rather more with Multitrack View than Edit View. Basic operating principle remains the same, though - most people have had very little trouble transferring from one to another.

    I am novice in computers.
