  • Boot camp and windows 7 but window wont find usb to download support drivers

Used Boot Camp to partition, downloaded support onto USB zip drive, installed Windows 7 fine I thought, but in Windows 7 now it will not find my USB so i can't download the support drivers from my zip drive back into Windows.  No internet found either (probably because i can't download the support drivers).  HELP QUICKLY please!!!

Boot Camp in Windows has nothing to do with Boot Camp in OS X. So, there was no need for you to reinstall Leopard.
Since you're using Leopard, your Leopard disc will have the 2.xx drivers, which, (apparently) will not install in Windows 7.
You'll need to get a hold of the 3.0 drivers. The 3.1 update downloaded from the Apple site won't install without 3.0 drivers installed.

  • CRIO USB Support software drivers

    Hi everybody,
I'm working on a cRIO 9012 with a NI-9215 module on LabVIEW 2012 (evaluation version). The cRIO 9012 disposes of an USB port on which I put a stick.
I want to put data on my stick, I made a VI and use the path u:\texte.txt where "texte.txt" is already created in the USB stick.
I found in ni topics that I have to install "USB Support" software, I tried to add it on my RT target but it is not present in softwares' three. I get only "UBS passport", you can see it in attached picture.
I suppose that drivers/softwares are avaible but I don't find its. Somebody could get me out of this ?
    Thanks.

  • Boot camp 4 can't install windows support drivers

    Hi everyone,
I have the new imac 27" with thunderbolt and preinstalled Lion. They dont give you a CD.
I run Boot Camp assistant (version 4.0) and try to install windows on a purchased DVD Windows 7 x64 ( i am a recent convert to mac but still need some windows proggys.)
Ok so once I run the installation It asks me to download the windows support drivers... I do this but then it stops 3/4 through the process and comes up with an error "can't install windows support drivers".
Do any of you out know how to fix this???
Also If I dont use the option to update the software before installing and just select install windows 7 (second option) from a disc. It installs windows fine BUT it wont install any of the network, usb, camera, graphics and sound drivers. so basicaly I am blocked from the internet for windows to update the drivers. I also cant get the driver files from another computer as the mac in windows mode can recognised usb sticks as the drivers arent installed.
I need help urgently on this as it is doing my head
    Thanks in advance.
    Daniel!

    Yes, but.
Open Network Preferences>Network>Advanced>Proxies and uncheck everything (try Passive Mode on, and off, but no auto Proxies)
    And try again.

I dont like windows 8 and would rather use w7 (i dont like windows at all but need it for using VB for a class at school) can i install a linux version like scientific instead of windows ? if i can ill just buy a cheap PC to use VB on

i have a usb super drive can i use that instead ? i dont have another usb stick and the one i have has 27G of data on it and tranfering it takes time. I can buy one if thats the only way to do it on a mac air but i figure i have the super drive and could put the w7 support files on it and i have the w7 on disk and iso img saved on the mac.

  • Is there a workaround on installation of drivers (Windows support drivers)?

I get a crash everytime I try to install these drivers on my Bootcamp partition.
Windows does a crash dump and restarts computer. I do not know exactly at what point during the installation of the Windows Support drivers this happens.
Other comments: I am using at the moment generic PC mouse and keyboard connected via USB as my bluetooth drivers have not installed properly (it seems).
    Thanks for any help!

Forgot to mention, I installed Windows 7 Professional with service pack 1 debugged and checked build 64-bit.

  • HP F4580 on Imac in windows 7 bootcamp, won't install "no usb support" works OK on Mac side

Trying to install my HP F4580 so I can print from the Windows partition on my iMac,. Downloaded and ran the drvier utility but it fails saying "this PC has no USB support". Whereas the printer works fine on the Mac side of the partition.
    This question was solved.

    Hi,
Although installing the printer on Windows by using Bootcamp may work, it is not guaranteed...
The windows OS actually being installed as a virtual envoirnment, which means your Windows OS is using your Mac OS USB drivers as the host, and not those intended for Windows.
Therefore it is not being recognized by the software.

  • Can't install Windows 8 on rMBP, installer does not find Windows support drivers.

First I downloaded a W8 ISO, and used it with bootcamp and created a bootable USB drive. Followed all the steps, downloaded the support drivers and partitioned my HD. My system restarts after and boots windows 8 installer. On the screen were I am supposed to select the BOOTCAMP drive, it will not let me load up the Support Drivers, so I can't continue to install the OS. They are on the Drive and I can see them...
I've been trying for hours, searching the net and now I decided to ask the community..

  • Delicacy of USB-VXI drivers

I've been having problems with the USB-VXI drivers.  The cause can be different, but the symptom is always the same.
Symptom:  The computer hangs inside a VXIMove.  There is no way on the computer end to recover once you are there (killing LabView takes a while, with a "Resetting vi" message, and then the computer won't even reboot without a hard reset).  I did find that cycling power on the VXI chassis does get out of the lockup situation.  But in any case, it's not a stable environment.
I have seen this happen at times on a straight USB connection, but the big problem system is admittedly more complex.  It uses USB-to-fiber transceivers so that the VXI chassis can be 50 meters away from the control computer (tried the fiber-VXI connection and had a multitude of problems; inconvenient power-on sequence restrictions, problems passing fiber through bulkheads, etc.).  Anyway, in this form, it may work fine for a while, but seems to hang when the rate of VXI traffic increases.  This is an application that has run for years using MXI-2 connections.
On another (straight-thru) system, I've seen the identical problem simply when another near-by device was powered on during times of heavy VXI access (power was properly conditioned; this problem is more rare but still happens).
Of course, these systems are using the only form of NIVXI drivers that supports USB (3.5).
So my questions are:  any thoughts?  Will an updated version of NIVXI in the near future likely resolve the problem?
Note:  on the key problem system, we originally used USB-1.0 to fiber transceivers.  These gave no problems, but VXI operations took way too long...
Never had any problems with MXI-2, but it's not suitable for this one version of our system...

    Hi jraber:
I'd like to get a little more information from you if possible.
    1) Can you give me some information about your host controller?  What kind of computer is it?  What chipset?  Are you using the motherboard USB or a USB port from a plug in card?
    2) How often does this problem occur?  Can you post an NI-Spy capture of when the problem occurs?
    3) Finally, when the problem does occur you say you can power off the chassis to get it working again, have you tried just unplugging then replugging the USB cable?

  • Need Chipset Driver for USB support

    Hi.
This Windows XP-SP3 PC has 4xUSB2 or 2xUSB3 on-board ports, and all have failed. All USB devices are yellow-flagged in device manager.
I have run SFC \SCANNOW and it runs to completion, and I have tried right-clicking on a yellow-flagged USB entry in Device Manager and selecting Update Driver, but that only results in the following dialog:
    Cannot Install This Hardware
There was a problem installing this hardware:
    Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller
An error occurred during the installation of the device:
The driver installation file for this device is missing a necessary entry. This may be because the INF file was written for Windows 95 or later. Contact your hardware vendor stop
It has been suggested to me that I should try to obtain the Chipset Driver for USB support. Running Speccy reveals the following about the mainboard:
       Manufacturer   MICRO-STAR INTERNATIONAL CO.,LTD
       Model   MS-7267 (CPU 1)
       Version   3.0
       Chipset Vendor   Intel

             BIOS
             Brand   American Megatrends Inc.
             Version   V7.1

Can you help me out with this?
    Thanks very much.

  • No Usb 2 Drivers In Sp1

According to MSI info about USB 2 drivers should be included in SP1 and are not available for separate download for Win XP.
I got SP1 but no USB 2 drivers could be found i still have the old ones from Microsoft.
I can imagine that many users did not check if they really got USB 2 drivers.
    Appreciate any help.

Microsoft added the USB 2 support in Service Pack 4 for Win2k and Service Pack 1 for WinXP
the thing is thet after installing the Service Pack don`t expect Windows to detect the USB 2 ports by itself  ... you`ll have to delete them from the Device Manager then run Add/Remove Hardware to force it to detect them.

  • USB Cable drivers expired certificates

Trying to create an msi for a silent unattend install of Vivado 15.2 on Win 7x64 and I'm having a problem installing the USB cable drivers in that after installing a "Progam compatibility Assistant" window appears that states "Windows requires a digitally signed driver". Having checked the certificates installed I can see that both certificates from Jungo and Xilinx expired on 2011 and 2008 respectively. How do I go about resolving this?

    Hi
I suggest you to try the steps mentioned in the section "Batch Mode Installation Flow" to install Vivado 2015.2 from the following user guide: http://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/sw_manuals/xilinx2015_2/ug973-vivado-release-notes-install-license.pdf

  • USB Support for RT

The only functionality of RT USB is mass storage. It would be helpful to add at least RAW Data USB support to use USB port for connecting i.e. USB / RS232 adapter. Many analyzers use integrated serial/USB converter chips to transfer data to PC, because no need of specialized driver (you get the driver with the chip). The ability of RAW USB support allows to connect these analyzers to cRIOs and RT PC Targets.

For VxWorks-based cRIO devices, we do support a USB-Raw functionality.  You configure the USB device through MAX and you are then able to use NI-VISA to communicate with the device; it then requires the end-user to write a "driver" to communicate with the device using NI-VISA.  It's fairly easy to do, but can be a support nightmare if you don't have the detailed spec sheet on the device.  We're currently looking into options for providing this for PXI and Desktop RT systems.
I am not sure how "no specialized driver" fits in with "you get the driver with the chip" - USB/RS232 adapters generally use a USB-Serial bridge inside them, usually an FTDI or Prolific chipset.  FTDI does not provide open source drivers, though someone reverse-engineered the device and wrote a driver in Linux that "supports" it - we would not be able to support FTDI devices under RT because there are no available open-source drivers for it (that's intentional on the part of FTDI).  Prolific devices could be supported, at extra cost and development effort to port the Prolific drivers to RT.  Just because a driver is "included" with a device for Windows doesn't mean it's not a "specialized driver" or that we can even use it on a platform not supported by the manufacturer (like RT).
We are always looking at ways we can improve LabVIEW Real-Time, and due to common request this is one of the areas we're investigating.

  • Sunray Server and DTUs USB Support

I'm looking for help on usb support through the Sunray DTUs. I would like to be able to connect a usb device as I would with inside of Windows from a Sunray. USB drives are about the only thing I have working but not consistently. I've used the USB drive daemon posted on the Thinkthin blog and that works most of the time. I would like to use printers connected directly to the DTU. I have an idea on how to add the printer using the tmp/SUWut/units/<macaddress>/dev path but it seems that I cannot get it to work; maybe I'm using the wrong settings/drivers. I would also like to use USB cdroms, floppys, etc. Basically anything that doesn't require a special driver in Windows I would like to use on a DTU. It makes it hard to convince people that these can replace desktops when the functionality of things like USB are nowhere nearly as developed as Windows desktops. BTW, I need it both on the Solaris side and through the Sunray Windows connector. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure about sunray connector (windows) but within solaris it is rather transparent as long as the usb drive device is not NTFS. Plug it in and it should show up in /tmp/SUNWut/mnt/user/. I use a dvdwriter (lightscribe) the same way.
Whenever I have problems with users not being able to mount thumb drives it is always a NTFS issue or a high density thumb drive (8-16gb).
Not sure why sun doesn't put something more apparent on the desktop when you mount a drive. The rest of the world does that and it would make it a bit more user friendly. If you want a pain in the rear try using virtualbox through a sunray and mount usb devices. It works but it is really convoluted.
    Never bothered with printers.

    Hi:
Install the amd chipset driver first and reboot.  You want the first file listed on the webpage.
That should install the smbus and usb 3 controller drivers.
    http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/chipset?os=Windows 7 - 32
If it does not install the usb 3.0 controller drivers then download and install both of these drivers and you should be good to go.
