  • How to read ZIP files(having PDFs,Image) using MQ Series link for R/3

    Hi,
1)Is it possible to transfer a zip file (having an image or pdf) using IDocs in SAP 4.6C using MQ Series link for R/?
Scenario: "MQ Series link for R/3" converts Business-Reports from a third-party software, into SAP IDocs. Each Business-Report contains one XML file and one ZIP file.
2)Being on ABAP side,do I have to worry about how the zip file would be converted into IDocs?
    Detailed descrption:
This scenario requires integration of a non-SAP software which talks in XML with SAP R/3(4.6C).The customer has decided to go with 'MQ Series link for R/3' (which integrates any non-SAP application running on IBM MQ Series to R/3,by converting data(in any format) into IDocs). He is not ready to go for XI.
The Problem area is a functionality which requires the non-SAP software to send XML file along with an attached Zip file. So,XML document, basically, has a 'zippedFile' XML element having actual file in XML keyword 'file'.
This XML document ideally, should be converted by the subsystem(MQSeries link for R/3) into IDocs i.e. into a stream which could be stored in a table on R/3 side and later, sent back to the non-SAP software through MQ Series link to be converted into zip-file again with corresponding pdfs, images.I want someone who has worked in a similar scenario to confirm this.

  • Configuring 2 NICs for Load sharing

I have 2 NICs installed in my desktop system. I need to establish a TCP/IP connection through one NIC With a server. At the same time I need to load balance the packets through both the NICs.
The above setup incolves coding in Windows. Also the implementation involves programming the dynamic routing table for packets to be distributed(for Load Balancing).
Also Wont there be any packet loss instances while drivin the packets through the NICs.
Any ideas and Suggestions on the above query is very much welcome.
Please elaborate the processes if possible.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
I'm guessing that your network cards will use some kind of channelling to load balance at layer2 and both cards will be treated as one logical link to the network. In Cisco speak this is called Etherchannelling however in other vendors speak it can be called trunking.
You will have to find out if this is true and then set up channelling using the correct method between your PC and switch. Unless you are using 3750 switches in a stack, i think both NICs will have to be connected to the same switch, both these ports will have to be put into the same etherchannel.
Cisco switches support the dynamic creation of channels using PAgp or LACP, my guess is that your NICs will either support LACP as PAgp is Cisco proprietary or it won't support the dynamic creation of a channel at all.
Have a look through the documentation and see if i'm on the right track, if so report back and if you need further help i can show you how to configure this on the Cisco switch.

  • Dhcp address used in terminal and for windows sharing

Ok. I posted something about this before but with a large PHP reference.
Want I want to know is why when I open terminal I get a DCHP address and not the name of my HDD? I even went as far as to reinstall everything and the same thing shows up. It also shows up this way for file sharing... what is going on? Please help.

The computer name that shows up in the Terminal app is controlled by System Preferences->Sharing->Computer Name. Click on the Edit button and put in anything you want. As a long-time Unix user, I prefer localhost, so that's what's on my machine.

  • I have used up my limit for home sharing.

I have multiple laptops that are no longer in use, i know some of them have iTunes (Home Sharing) on them but i dont know which ones do. I want to figure out which computers have home sharing so i can disable them. Is there any way to do that?

    Hello Rahim.Alrai
The first thing is to make sure that you are using the same Apple ID on your HP laptop as the same one on the iMac and your brother’s computer. If all is good there, then check out the second article to troubleshoot the issue further.

  • Using Sym Links for .dbf, .log, and .ctl files?  Will this work in 10g?

    Hello,
We have an old database server we use for testing/development and it's running very low on diskspace on one of the filesystems on the box. At this point in time, adding space is not a simple option for several reasons. However, there are several other data partitions on this server with plenty of space available.
I read a paper published by Sun Microsystems that advocates the use of symbolic links for dbf, ctl, and log files:
    http://www.sun.com/blueprints/0103/817-1048.pdf
Are there any drawbacks/caveats we need to be aware of, or is this really as simple as just stopping the db, moving a few files to another fs, symlinking their locations, and restarting the db?
    Thanks for your input/advice.

I think you should verify this with Oracle Support.

  • BGP - Load sharing - q

My server LAN is – 172.30.1.0/24 , and using BGP for primary and secondary Links on a single HUB Router,
I need to Load share the secondary Link by specific ip address ,
172.30.1.5 and 172.30.1.6 server traffic only via the Secondary Link using BGP on Router.
Note : When secondary is down it should use primary Link for all my spoke sites
Need help what to change on HUB and spoke Router BGP configs

I agree with Rick, some more details would be helpful.  However from your description it sounds as though you have a hub with multiple spokes and you are exchanging routes between them using BGP. You want traffic between the spokes and hub for the specific server IPs you provided to use the secondary link ?
If so the problem you have trying it with BGP is the return traffic. ie. you could advertise the server IPs as host addresses from the hub site down both links and use AS prepending so the secondary link was preferred at all spoke sites. All spokes would then use the secondary link to send traffic to these servers.
The issue with that though is when the servers reply the destination IP is one of the spokes site addresses. How are you going to make sure that the secondary link is used for this traffic. You cannot tell the hub router to use the secondary for all spoke addresses because then all return traffic would go via the secondary link ie. all return traffic being for any device sending traffic back to the spokes.
So i don't think BGP is the solution to this or it could only be a partial solution. PBR could solve the problem of the return traffic though so you could either -
    1) use PBR on the hub router and PBR for all the spoke routers. This would be quite a lot of config as you would need to update all routers.
    or
    2) use BGP to make sure the spokes use the secondary link for traffic to the specific servers and then use PBR on the hub to make sure traffic from these specific servers uses the secondary link. The advantage of this would be all the configuration would only be on the hub router.
If you do use PBR you may also need to track the availability of the link so that if it failed it would failover to the other link.
Having said that, Rick may know of a better way to do this though, so some more specifics would be helpful.

  • BGP requirements and load sharing

    Hi !
I have been reading memory requirements for running BGP. But, for a tipical scenario with dual ISP for load sharing which are the requirements for the router ?
Could we use a 1841 or thinking about 37x5 or higher router ? I know that it depends on size for routing table, AS, and so on but what is the rule of thumb for choosing the correct router ?
    Thanks

Achieve Optimal Routing and Reduce BGP Memory Consumption

Routes is one constraint and traffic is one more and the kind of policies i apply would be another. If i took a default from my upstream with about 1 MB of traffic, i would definitely look at 1841. If received routes ( atleast 20,000) and about 1 MB or 2 MB and 2 or more upstreams, I may even settle for a 3850.

  • Load Sharing

    Hi,
I have a data guard setup having physical standby. I have a client requirement which may require more than 800 concurrent and simultaneous connections. I want to share the load across various reaources. I would be having 3 different physical servers. Can anyone please suggest me how shall I plan for load sharing?
Would it be feasible to use Oracle Application Server for thr purpose?
How to use Oracle Application Servers ?
    Vinita

    Dear Vinita,
    Please find below explanation;
    Oracle RAC
    Oracle Real Application Clusters.
Option that allows multiple concurrent database instances to share a single physical database.Do you know the difference between an instance and a database by the way?
Think of a structure like you have 3 *nix operating systems. One will be the database and two will be a completely seperate instances. You are going to create two instances on two boxes and mount them on to the same database on the other box. So it create an Active to Active clustering and one instance will fail instantly the other instance will continue to operate without any errors to the end users.
    Please also find an explanation about the Oracle Clusterware;
    Oracle Clusterware
A set of components that enables servers to operate together as if they were one server.
    Oracle Clusterware is a requirement for using Oracle RAC and it is the only clusterware that you need for platforms on which Oracle RAC operates.Here is the 11gR2 RAC Guide;
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/rac.112/e10743/toc.htm
You will find detailed information on that guide.
    Hope That Helps.

  • Scheduled Discoverer report link for viewer in portal

    Hi,
When a link for scheduled report for plus users is created in portal Oracle suggestes the following. This is good since it does not need the run number and the same link will work for all reruns.
    http://<host.domain>:<port>/discoverer/plus?cn=cf_a156&opendbid=SALES_ANALYSIS2&sheetid=42&workbooksource=Scheduled
whereas for opening a scheduled workbook result in viewer the link needs the run number which prevents using the same link for every run.
Do anyone found a way to workaround this
    Thanks for the help

    Hi Jay
