Use a Zen wall charger on an iP

I have a Zen V Plus and have the wall charger. Someone gave me a Nano iPod and I wondered if I can use the Zen charger with it. Thanks.

Most chargers output 5 VDC including the Zen wall charger. Just check on the back of the wall wart.
What you need is probably a mini USB to Ipod "conversion" connector for the "fruit company" music player.
When using your "fruit company" device tell me how the FM music plays on the device? <--- a bit of humor.

  • Can I use my Firewire wall charger?

I know that the new ipod does not support firewire charging/transfer into the computer, but is it possible for me to use my Firewire Cable and plug it into, from the dock, my Firewire wall charger?

This is in regards to the charger, not a computer connection. Unfortunately, a firewire connection will not update an Ipod. I wish apple would've included this feature in the new Ipod because the only fast connection I have on my windoze box is firewire.

  • Can I use my old wall charger?

I used to have a 4th Gen iPod which recently broke. I went out yesterday to buy the new 30 gig 5th generation iPod and to my surprise it didn't come with as much accessories as my older iPod. I was wondering if it is ok to us my old wall charger on my new iPod?

Yes, you can use the wall adapter and the firewire cord to charge your new 5G iPod. Just know that the firewire cable that came with your 4G iPod (the one that connects to the charger) can only be used to charge the iPod with the adapter, not to sync the iPod with the computer.
But for a simple answer, yes you can use that charger with your new iPod

  • Iphone 4 set up query have a brand new iphone 4, I have plugged it in using the wall charger and it does not seem to be doing anything. Trying to turn it on it is not working either. Is there some vital part of set up I have missed or is this a dud??

I have just received a brand new iphone 4 in the mail. I have plugged it in using the apple wall charger for around 3 hours now and it does not seem to be doing anything. Tried to plug it into the computer, again no response. Trying to turn it on has not had any success either. Should I be concerned that the screen is blank and not showing a charging symbol?? Have I missed some vital step in set up??
    Thanks for your help!!!!

    Try resetting the phone:
Press the sleep/wake button & home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release.
Then, launch iTunes & connect your phone...what happens?

  • HT1476 Will the ipod touch charge with a wall charger?  I tried to use a wall charger by Nook and it didn't work.

Will the ipod touch charge with a wall charger?  I tried to use a NOOK wall charger, but the ipod touch wouldn't charge.

Likely the Nook charger does not provide enough power to charge the iPod with the screen on. You can try leaving the charger connected overnight (iPod sleeping) and see if it is charged in the morning.

  • Charging Shuffle 3G using A Wall Charger

my shuffle 3G can be charge using a PC. But when using regular USB wall charger it is not showing the light to indicate the Ipod is being charging! So I bought following charger from ebay!
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/120671316940?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m143 9.l2649
    But the result is same!
Is shuffle 3G need data signal from PC to charge?
(I'm using the USB cable which comes with shuffle)

No, there is no need for a data signal to charge an iPod.  However, the quality of ultra-cheap items from eBay can be questionable.  $1.98?  How good could it be?  It is likely that the item you bought does not provide sufficient power, or is otherwise faulty.
Apple just announced the "USB Power Adapter Takeback Program" to provide customers of Apple devices with high-quality power adapters for a reasonable price ($10).  Details here
    http://www.apple.com/support/usbadapter-takeback/
You may want to take that one from eBay and exchange it for an official Apple USB power adapter (on or after 8/16).

  • Wall Charger - Use in London

I have a 2nd gen ipod touch and am going to london in a few months. I am not bringing my laptop, but would love to bring my ipod touch to keep me entertained in airports and on the plane. I currently use a Dynex wall charger. If I get one of the cheap adapters will it be okay to wall charge it in the UK or will I fry it? The input on the Dynex wall charger lists it is okay for 100-200v.

  • Can I use a regular USB wall charger to charge my Sixaxis controller?

Hi. I have a Sixaxis controller and I'm wondering if I could charge it using a USB wall charger like the ones that come with smartphones. I want to charge my controller but I have the PS3 plugged into an extension cable with my TV, set-top box and DVD player. In order to charge my controller atm I have to have all those things turned on and it's expensive and somewhat dangerous. So, can I use my phone's USB wall charger to charge my Sixaxis controller?  Thanks.

Thanks. I just didn't want it to explode or something.

  • IP4 Charging..USB to PC (MAC) vs USB Wall Charger??

Could there be a difference in the way the battery is recharged when charging the IP4 using a USB cable connected to a USB dock, which is connected to a Mac Mini vs charging the phone using the USB wall charger?
Couple days ago my IP4 battery drained normally, indicator went red since it was less that 20% capacity, so I plugged it into a USB cable that I had been using to charge my IP 3G. That cable goes to a USB dock connected to my Mini, my 3G always seemed to charge fine using same calbe...seems the IP4 charged ok as well...though it did seem to take longer for a full charge. I briefly used the phone that evening. When I went to bed, battery was at about 90% charged, almost full charge. Next morning, it was down below 20%. Charged it again next day using USB wall charger, used the phone more last night, but phone was close to 90% available this morning.
I don't believe the previous evening I ran any wacky app or process that could have been running overnight, I checked that first, same few apps I normally used showed.
So, does how the IP4 get charged, USB to PC vs USB to wall outlet make a difference in how the battery charges?

it will take longer to charge on a computer because there is less power going to the phone thats just the way it works
however no matter where you charge it and how long it takes to charge its not going to deplete quicker based on one source or another there must have been something that drained your battery

i just want know if is possible use the iphone's charge battery for the i-pod touch. Thank you!

Using an  iPhone wall charger for the iPod is fine.  You can also use an iPhone cable for the iPod.
The term " iphone's charge battery" is not really clear.

  • Is possible to charge Ipod touch 4th with Ipad 2 wall charger?

    Hi to all !!
Just wondering if it's possible to use Ipad 2 wall charger to charge my Ipod touch 4th generation...
    Any help?
    Thanks!!

Yes you can do that without problems.
The other way around (charging iPad with iPod Touch charger) will not work because the wall charger of the iPod Touch does not deliver enough power for the iPad.

  • Wall Charger for ipad

I recently purchased an ipod mini. Can I use the same wall charger I use for my ipod touch or will that not work.

See link below about iPhone, iPod, Using the iPad Charger
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
    http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • IPad 2 Wall Charger not working at my home only

This is a strange one.  I'm hoping someone has seen this and has a solution.  My iPad 2 will suddenly not charge when using the included wall charger but only at my home.  I took everything into Apple and the tech found everything in working order at the store (adapter and USB cable as well as the iPad itself).  He suggested I try different wall outlets at home (which I had).
On my way home I tried what I thought was a long shot and plugged the wall adapter into a adapter I have that allows you to plug a 110 volt device into your cigarette lighter.  This worked and I was able to charge the iPad 2 on the way home.
I have tried a dozen outlets at home now and none of them work.  I read some posts about cold booting the iPad and tried that with no effect.  I also read posts about changing the order of plugging in the cables.  This hasn't changed my situitation.
This iPad 2 is only six weeks old.  I was ready to try purchasing a new wall adapter until it charged fine at the Apple store and in my car.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I don't want to have to drain my car battery or waste gas just to charge my iPad.

Update:  Apple support hadn't heard of anyone having this problem so I tried something else on my own.  I let the iPad2's battery run completely empty and then plugged tried charging it normally (using my home electrical outlet).  It worked!  My iPad2 is back to charging and working normally.  I'm still concerned that there is something wrong with the unit but I'll have to keep monitoring it.

  • HT1665 USB Wall charger

Please advise, if a USB wall charger itself should be certified by "Made for iPhone"?
Is there any compatibility issue in case of use any USB wall charger (output: 5V / 1A), by an "iPhone" original cable (USB to lightning connector)?
    Thanks in advance,
    Shmulik

    Thankd Allan,
The question is if Apple also mark / certify a stand alone USB wall charger (without the cable)
with "Made for iPhone" as with other accessories?
    Thanks in advance,
    Shmulik.
