Use "Additional File"

Hello,
I have attachments to a document e. g. a Word-file with one or two PDF-Attachments. I would like to use the function "additional file" for the Word-File. However, you can only see that there is a additional file, if you open details from the document. I want to see it under "Original" that there is an attachment. Is it possible?
The reason is that we want to convert both documents in one pdf, when the word-file is finished and released. If the attached pdf is handle as an attachment, I can differ, if the pdf is an attachment or converted pdf-document.

  • SFTP to File Scenario using multiple files

    Hi All,
    I have a scenario wherein 2 separate CSV files ex a.csv and b.csv has to be picked up from the SFTP folder and the same has to be mapped and send to one single file ex c.csv.
    Say a.csv contains fields Name,Address and b.csv contains Phone,Mobile and I need to map them as per FSD into c.csv which will then have Name,Address,Phone,Mobile
    I am bit confused on how to do it.
    Shall I use Additional File name option in SFTP sender channel configuration? In that case how will I use the FCC as we have 2 separate csv files and both the files are CSV files and needs to be converted to XML.
    Any related threads will help.
    Regards,
    Shaibayan

    Hi Inaki,
    Thanks for your reply.
    BPM is not an option in our case as we are told not to use BPM.
    However as per the thread from Michael
    "pick both files in one run (one as file, the other one as attachment - so one communication channel )
    inside the mapping you can get the values from the attachment and do the mapping"
    This part is fine and we can do the mapping by creating N:1 mapping but since our files are .csv files so a content conversion is required for both the a.csv and b.csv. How to go through with this.
    The structure will be something like below in the message mapping after we add both the source structures in Signature Tab:
    Message
         Message1
              MT_FILE_A
                   RecordSet1
                        Name
                        Address
                        Field3
         Message2
              MT_FILE_B
                   RecordSet2
                        Phone
                        Mobile
    Can I use the below values for Content Conversion?
    Document Name:MT_FILE_A,MT_FILE_B
    Recordset Structure:RecordSet1,*,RecordSet2,* or we have to use MT_FILE_A.RecordSet1,*,MT_FILE_B.RecordSet2.*
    And in the Name Value for Name do we need to use dot for each Document Name i.e.
    MY_FILE_A.RecordSet1.fieldSeparator?

  • Using Additional parameters in file receiver

    Hello all,
    I'm trying to use additional parameters the following way:
    In my receiver adapter:
    File Name Scheme : %var%.txt
    Additional Parameters:
    %var%     |   myvalue
    Checked "Set Adapter Specific Message Attributes" and "FileName" in both sender and receiver adapters.
    XI doen't pay attention to my variable and outputs the file name as is (exactly as the original name).
    Can anyone please help me solve the problem?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    since you are using both variable substitution & Set Adapter Specific Message Attributes, the second one has highest preference. So only Adapter Specific Message Attribute works in this case.
    So use either Variable Substitution (or) Set Adapter Specific Message Attributes according to your scenario requirement.

  • Deletting the file that has been used in 'Additional Files' in FILE SENDER

    Hi people.
    I've developed an interface that has to send a ZIP file to an email address.
    I pick that file using a dummy file. This file is picked as an attachment and has been defined in 'additional parameters' of SENDER FILE.
    My problem is that i want to delete that 'additional file' once it has been procesed. I think that this could be done running an operating system command.
    My problem is that i don't know how to do this in UNIX systems.
    Can anyone tell me how to delete (in UNIX) a file with name dummy.zip located in folder /usr/sap.../ ?
    Regards,
    Inigo

    You can probably do this by executing a shell script on the server!
    You can only run commands on the PI Server
    See here for details and help on writing shell scripts!

  • Illustrator CS6 won't open additional files after 30 minutes use

    Illustrator CS6 (on an iMac, OS X Yosemite, Version 10.10) sort of freezes up after I've been using it for about 30 minutes - it won't open or create additional files or copy/cut/paste objects.
    It did this with OS X Maverick as well. I tried uninstalling the software and reinstalling it.
    The only way I can fix this issue is to save all opened windows and quit Illustrator. When I reopen it, it seems fine but it freezes up again every hour or so.
    Please help! Thank you

    Hello worksmc,
    I looked at the above snapshot and it helps a bit but would like to know if above snapshot is at the state when the AI stops opening the Ai files? If not, then please attach the one for that state as that would really debugging the issue.
    Btw, what type of files do you open for the first half 'n hour? What kind of objects are in those files? Do you keep the multiple documents open, if yes, then how many are these?
    Appreciate your understanding!
    Thanks,

  • In CS4 Use of File Place Does Not Center Images

    I have been using CS3 for about 1 1/2 years, so of course had to give CS4 a try. I downloaded the trial. I immediately had an issue with File > Place.
    I often use File > Place to add additional items into a document. I believe the expected functionality of File>Place is that the file should then be centered in the document.
    Here is what I have done:
    + Create a 12"x12" document at 200ppi (I have also tried to create a document at 2400x2400 pixels)
    + Use File>Place to add a square 2400x2400 pixel image (JPG file) into the document
    + The added layer is now offset ever so slightly in the new document.
    + Further observation shows that the horizontal reference point is at 1202 (screen shot attached), thus creating an offset from center. I change it to 1200 and sure enough the paper is centered perfectly. I thought maybe changing it once would make it the same next time, but that is not the case.
    + When I used the File>Place command, I was zoomed out (25%), and the entire image was viewable on screen. If I zoom out further, say 8.33%, the offset is 1206.
    I am able to duplicate this on two different computers with the following configurations:
    Computer #1
    + Windows XP Professional Version 2002 SP2
    + AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ (3.01GHz)

    "Place" ..... It is not all the easy to understand how place works without studying its behavior.  Often it will work in a way your not expecting if you do not understand how it works. There is a setting in Photoshop preferences Resize Image during Place. Un Checking this setting does not mean the image will not be resize nor does checking  this setting mean that it will be resize. On top on top of that the seems to be something in Photoshop on My system that keeps changing the setting to the checked state.
    What the heck am I writing am I trying to make this worse.  No I'm not.  To prove that I first tell you it is very easy to center position a placed layer in an action after the Place step add a step select all the two layer>Align layers to selection>Horizontal Center then vertical center. The deselect...
    Place....
    There is a lot going on remember in Photoshop a Layer can be any size  Larger/smaler/same as the canvas and can have any aspect ratio. If the placed image has more pixels them a canvas side size and the preference is checked the placed image will be transformed to fit within the canvas size. If not checked the placed image will transformed to the same dpi resolution so no pixels will be changed.    The only time a place image is not transformed is when the the preference is not checked and the placed image file has the same dpi as the current Photoshop Document.  In this cast the image is placed in at 100% size be it smaller/larger/same as canvas size.

  • Time Machine: External Hard Drive with Additional Files + Back-up

    Hi-
    I am hoping someone can clarify something for me. I use a 500GB external drive (WD-My Book) to back-up my macbook periodically (2x month). I also use this same external drive to store additional files from an old computer.
    I just spoke with some folks at Apple and they confused me and made me think that I might have inadvertently deleted some of the original non-back-up files. However, I have scoured the drive and everything seems to be there IN Addition to the backups.backupdb folder.
    Can someone reassure me that I have not somehow corrupted/lost either the original files or the back-up files?
    I have read the tutorials posted in 2009 - and realize that I should have partitioned the drive, but I didn't. Moving forward I will purchase a dedicated drive just for back-ups - but want to be able to sleep tonight and not worry . . .
    Thanks!

    claisb wrote:
    Wow-Thanks again.
    Apple Support was marginally helpful. After the rep told me I probably lost data, my anxiety rose . . .
    My original Time Machine question to Apple Support =
    My MacBook cannot handle all the media I have. So, I bought a Seagate 1TB to hold movies, photos, and music. If I have the 1TB Seagate plugged in to my MacBook at my designated back-up time, will Time Machine back both the HD and Seagate 1TB to a new (yet-to-be-purchased) 2TB External drive (which will be purchased solely for Time Machine files)?
    Yes, as long as both are formatted for a Mac (see #1 in Formatting, Partitioning, Verifying, and Repairing Disks).
    The Seagate might have been automatically excluded from backups; if so, it's easily removed, via Time Machine Preferences > Options. If it's listed in the exclusion box +*in black,+* (while it's connected) just select it and click the minus sign at the bottom. If it's listed in gray, it's not formatted properly -- Time Machine can't back it up, and you can't remove it from the exclusion list.
    I'm having a difficult time knowing if I'm utilizing Time Machine properly. Since I have a MacBook it doesn't make sense for me to have Time Machine continuously running in the background. So, I only back-up 2 or 3 times a month. And, each time - I seem to get nervous that I'm not doing something correctly.
    Time Machine was designed to back up hourly. On a desktop Mac, it's best to let it do just that.
    On a laptop, of course, that's rarely practical. But you probably should back up more often -- when your internal HD fails (they all do, sooner or later), or something else awful happens to your Mac, you risk losing everything you've done since the last backup. Think of your Address book, browser bookmarks & history, documents, and especially your media files.
    You might want to consider backing-up over your network. It doesn't sound like you also have a desktop Mac, but if you do, you can back up to a "shared" drive on it.
    It's a lot more money, but Apple designed the Time Capsule as a combination wireless router and hard drive specifically for Time Machine backups. Most folks do the initial backup while connected via an Ethernet cable, but subsequently Time Machine can do those hourly backups wirelessly, as long as your Mac is awake and in range of the Time Capsule. See http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC344LL/A/Time-Capsule-2TB?fnode=MTY1NDA0Mg&mc o=MTMzNzU2MjI
    But as long as you're diligent about doing your backups regularly via an external drive, a TC may not be worth the big bucks, especially if you already have a wireless router.

  • ZIP FileName (Additional Files)

    Hi, My sender FTP channel picks two files Main& Additional file suing adavanced options and zips it using Payloadzipbean and writes to the target without any mapping,however the name inside the zipped file is "MainDocument & File"
    How can i get the original file name as in the source directory inside my zipped file? I think I need a module for this but not sure how to access the source filenames inside the module any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

    Thanks Ryan, as i cannot attach the screenshot here is how the soap header looks..

         MainDocument (application/xml)
         <File> (application/xml)

  • Dynamic file name using reciver file adpater if no Mapping  involved

    Hi XI/PI experts,
    I am working on one scenerion where I have to poll the files from one server and send them to target FTP server with no content conversion( no Mapping involved).
    for example:
    if the source file is ABC_Invoice_item.csv
    then the target file is expected as  invoice_YYYYMMDD.csv
    Please advise how we can acchive this?
    Many Thanks in advance for your valuable inputs.
    Cheers,
    Mohan

    Hi,
          You can refer the following link for selecting additional files using a single comm channel :
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/EN/44/692ab8a4b633eae10000000a1553f6/content.htm
    You can also use a Java mapping instead of adapter module to store the filename dynamically in the message header. In this case, use a data type that has just one field under it. Use the same data type for both sender and receiver.
    In your Java mapping, use the code for dynamic configuration to retrieve the sender filename, alter it and then store it in the message header again for use by the receiver adapter.
    No changes will be required in the sender comm channel. There will not be any conversion to xml format and the data will pass through as is.

  • Specifying Additional Files in an FTP Sender Adapter

    Hi,
    Has anyone worked out how to specify additional files in a File/FTP Sender Adapter using the FTP transport protocol? This functionality comes 'standard' in the File/FTP Sender Adapter using NFS transport protocol so that additional files can been included as attachments, however, it doesn't seem to be available when trying to use the FTP protocol.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Reuben.

    Yes this is available in only NFS mode check sap help

  • Accesing additional files in the sender adapter

    Hi,
    I'd like to use this option in the sender file adapter: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/44/692ab8a4b633eae10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm
    --> "In the sender file adapter, you can specify additional files to be included in the XI message as attachments" ... "Additional files are transported unchanged without conversion options"
    After testing I'm getting two files in the soap message, which is what I wanted. But how can I get the content of the second file (not the main one).
    For example, in a custom module in the file adapter I can get the main payload as this:
    public ModuleData process(ModuleContext moduleContext, ModuleData inputModuleData)
                                       throws ModuleException {
    Message msg = (Message) inputModuleData.getPrincipalData();
    I guess that to get the second file it could be something like:
    inputModuleData.getSupplementalData("?");
    but don't really know what to insert there as a parameter.
    Basically I would need to find out a way to access the content of that second file: it could be in a custom module, it could be in a graphical or java mapping...
    Thanks!

    Finally I could access that attachment in a Java mapping using this code:
    private String getAttachment(TransformationInput in){
         InputAttachments inpAttach = in.getInputAttachments();
         Collection<String> collIDs = inpAttach.getAllContentIds(true);
         Object[] arrayObj = collIDs.toArray();
         getTrace().addInfo("Number of attachments: " + arrayObj.length);
         String idAttachment = (String) arrayObj[0];
         return new String(inpAttach.getAttachment(idAttachment).getContent());
    and so getting the attachment in a string.
    You also have to set on the flag "Read Attachments" in the Operation Mapping (PI 7.1, old Interface Mapping), so that the ABAP side passes the attachment to the Java runtime.
    I'm not sure if it's possible to access the attachment in the sender adapter in a custom module

  • How to handle additional files.

    Hi,
    In PI we can pick up additional files in the Sender File Adapter.
    My scenario would require to pick up invoice1.txt and and invoice1.jpg (the .jpg is the additional file)
    I need to get FCC for .txt file, map it,  and send it out to R3 with a proxy.
    The additional file should go to a share (also on the R3, and then be accessible via a link)
    Is this possible?
    What configuration is needed to separate the .txt from the .jpg? Would it require BPM?
    Any useful pointers/documents on the subject would be appreciated
    kr
    Robert

    Hi,
    I know how to configure the sender file adapter to pick up the additional file.
    What i am looking for is how to handle it inside the integration engine, because i need to split the message from the additional file.
    As mentioned above i need to send the .txt file via proxy to R3 and the .jpg file as is to R3, but it needs to go a share on the R3 directory.
    file.txt + file.jpg  -->  Sender File Adapter --> PI   / -->  Proxy  --> records form the file.txt
                                                                                 \ -->  Receiver File Adapter --> .jpg
    Thx

  • Adobe X Pro - requires additional files to be installed by system administrator...

    Error message:
    Additional files will need to be installed to create PDF from this file.  You must have Administrator privileges to install these files. Please contact your local system administrator.
    1) just an 'ole lady here - on a pc - not a system administrator (though I think have admin rights in windows 7).
    The details:
    a) had a lenovo small format pc running XP - Acrobat X Pro worked fine on this pc, could create pdfs and fillable forms etc.
    b) Just bought a used pc with Windows 7 Enterprise - after a week of issues - duh - I realized X Pro was not working on the new(used) pc, except to let me open a pdf, and even add a text box, or sign or line out a change in a pdf. - that is all it will let me do..
    c) I had a purchased CD of Adobe Pro Standard.  In 2012, I was able to upgrade it to Adobe X Pro 10,  while still on XP, with a digital download, for which I have the registration key.
    The X Pro version showing this morning was 10.1.12 (before I uninstalled it, and I assume after various updates).
    I've also tried repairing the installation - and selecting the function I need PDFMaker (to work with MS Word) -
    I have uninstalled Adobe, and re-installed it, from my old downloaded file the version is 10.0.0
    Finally read that I should have deactivated it on the old pc.
    Called Support, and they gave me an all new, full version (download) of Adobe X Pro at 5 pm est, and a NEW S/N.
    I uninstalled, the old version, ran ccleaner, restarted the pc, installed the new X Pro 10.0.0, used the new s/n and still cannot use Adobe.
    Still  can't, create a pdf, combine files from word or create a form from a word doc - nada.  Also, do not seem to have Adobe Reader anywhere on this pc, either (a good thing from what I've read).
    When I was on XP I did not have this problem.  Now that I am on Windows 7 Enterprise, I have the problem.
    (I am using MS Office 2003 and do plan to update to 2010.  Using Google Apps for Work, small business working from home, did not like Office 365 since I am on a MiFi hotspot for internet (country living))
    Maybe all of this was more information than you'd want or need... just was not sure what is is causing the conflict/problem.
    Feeling out of my depth with this and really need some guidance / help / specific steps to take - Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi Linda,
    Please try the steps mentioned below:
    > Enable the hidden Admin Account on Windows 7 ( Ref :  http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/enable-the-hidden-administrator-account-on-wi ndows-vista/ )
    > Disable all Non-Microsoft Startup Services. (Ref : http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/disable-startup-items-services-windows.html )
    > Disable all the Antivirus softwares like CA, Norton,Mc Afee etc. temporarily from the computer.
    Reboot and try installing in the new enabled Admin user account and check.
