Use Adobe Acrobat 3D for web CAD viewing

We use Autodesk Inventor and pay a third party to host our 3D CAD viewing for our website. A user can go to a parts details page and click on view CAD model and a 3D, moveable model will pop-up. Can we use the 3D aspects of Acrobat to bring this service in-house?

Did you try to uninstall A3D then clean up your registery data base and then re-install. It should fix the problem, please keep us updated.

You won't be able to install your original Acrobat 7 at all, or use your original serial number. The server which used to allow this was switched off.
But assuming you have a compatible system, like Mac OS 5 or Windows XP, licensed users of Acrobat 7 can download a replacement and get a replacement serial number.

Not enough memory on adobe acrobat 9 for web page capture

I use adobe acrobat 9 pro for creating a pdf with web page capture function.
After a while (about more of 500 pages) the free ram became insufisant and the program stop.
I am running on windows 7 with 4 Go ram.
When i take a look on memory utilisation i see that adobe use more of 1.7 Go ram .
During capture the ram is always increasing , i didnt see disk saving .
Who has a idea ?

The .rpt file size is 14MB with the Data Save option enabled, 12MB without Data Save. Presumably the 12MB file size is because of the 24bit PNG we have as our background.
The Designer executes the report in less than a second and we can scroll through all pages and see the image fields perfectly.
When we Export to PDF, the Designer takes a long time, eventually gets to the 77%, the 7th record and returns "Export report failed" followed by "Memory full". If we export only page 1 of the 3 pages, it also returns a Memory full error. However, when the same report is run with only 1 page, that page exports to PDF but with a ridiculously large size and export time.
The machine has 2GB of physical memory with an 8GB pagefile with Windows 2003 (latest everything). The process runs up to about 1GB before reporting the memory full error.
We've also tried a variety of other suggestions posted in the other thread with no success.
We're happy to provide the RPT file to the Report Team to diagnose the problem. Ultimately, we need to be able to produce a 15 page report with approximately 45 images.
Our preferred scenario is fixing problem 2. The CR Designer seems quite capable of rendering our report and printing it to our third party PDF printer in a timely manner with small size. However, the API reports memory full.
The API resides in a dedicated reporting web service with NO other code except for loading the report, setting parameters and printing. When executing, it uses up to about 1.1GB before reporting the error.
Are there any other suggestions for fixing what we have? Are there known problems with large images in reports? Do we need to lodge a formal support request?

Labview6.1 hangs on windows 98 when using adobe acrobat control for activex to open pdf file

I downloaded the attached vi from this forum and it works perfectly in windows XP with the same version of labview(6.1) and adobe acrobat reader (6.0). However, it hangs immediately when i am just trying to open the vi on windows 98....
I have also experimented with the MS browser activex control(activex container + object), it works on both windows XP and 98 for opening html files and on XP, it can open a link that leads to an PDF file display properly in the container window but it fails again in 98.

Of course, the user will need to have either Acrobat or Reader installed – depending on which APIs you choose to use.

Could you please let me know if you have tried converting other web pages to PDF and checked if the same issue persists.
How have you been trying to convert the web page to PDF?
Are you trying to convert to PDF directly via browsers or using "File > Create > PDF from Web Page" option in Acrobat.
Let me know more so that I can analyze where actually the issue persists.

Viewing PDF Portfolio using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro in Sharepoint Foundation 2013

When opening a PDF Portfolio, created using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, in Sharepoint Foundation 2013 the pages are blank in the default Layout view but you can see the contents in File view. How do we correct that so the files appear in both views? Local IT stated it is an ADOBE problem.

Not sure what you mean by that: is that URL in an image, or is it actual text?
If it is in an image, then you need to extract the image, edit it with something like Photoshop, then add it back to the PDF.
If the URL is actual text, I suggest that you remove the entire URL, then add the corrected link.

Figured it out. It had nothing to do with the software levels of Safari or Adobe Acrobat. Here's the fix:
Open Finder/Applications
Search "Internet Plug-Ins"
Move any Adobe plug-ins to the trash
Quit Safari
Launch Safari
Your pdf document should now render in Print Preview and print properly.

Question: Using Adobe Acrobat - Is it possible to execute JavaScript to report to LMS to track pdf was viewed?
What I would like to do is to create a pdf with an Acknowledgement button that when click will report (via JavaScript) to the LMS (Learning Management System) that the end user viewed/acknowledged the pdf.
Can this be down with JavaScript in this fashion?

Thanks, (My fault, as I should have specified this.) Due to legacy reasons I need to use ie, and so I can't use the PrintPdf firefox plugin. So from reading the rest of that thread, the best method does seem to be to get hold of a copy of acrobat, and add a Print() script in each file, and open it in a new tab.
At least it gives me somethigin to try anyway :-)

I have Windows 8.1, and when I right click on the Windows flag (bottom left), the menu gives me a "Search" option. When I enter "%temp%", it goes to " "my username"/ appdata/temp" which is a list of file 1718 file folders. Many are empty but I did a small sample. Is that the right place to delete? PDF Searching using Adobe Acrobat Plugin Find Function in Safari

I currently incorporate the Adobe Acrobat Pro (9.1.2) plugin for viewing PDF files. I like using Safari for viewing PDFs within a web browser, but I find Safari's built-in Find function (open apple-F) inferior to Acrobat's ability to search for text within the PDF, as it never finds the words that I search for.
My question is: Is there an efficient built-in shortcut within Safari to search text within a PDF using Adobe Acrobat's plugin Find function? If not, is there a relatively easy, keyboard-based shortcut that could be made to direct the Find function to the Adobe Acrobat plugin Find function within Safari?

I have some question to ask about Adobe acrobat reader and Adobe acrobat professional.
Is it possible if I use Adobe Acrobat reader to input data in PDF file that is generated by interactive form using web dynpro or Abap program. I try to use acrobat reader. It can not input anything into PDF Form but I'm not sure it may be can or not.
After I change PC that is install Adobe Acrobat Professional (offline: I save pdf file form web browser). It can input data into PDF Form.

1) You only need a Adobe Reader (Version 7.0.9 or higher) to enter and Save data in Adobe form. Just install the latest version of Adobe reader (8.x)

2) Please make sure you are creating Interactive Forms, and not Print Forms. for example, if you're using Java Web Dynpro, you need to enter the following code to make the form Interactive (so data can be saved within):

iForm1.setDynamicPDF(true);
