Use Ajax with OAF developed in JDeveloper 9i for Oracle Apps 11.5.10.2

Hi,
I am looking to use Ajax to have the same Google type functionality to be impelmented in OAF pages.
Example : Searching of employee names, organization etc.
JDeveloper version is 9i
Oracle Apps - 11.5.10.2
Please advice.

I dont think thats possible using OAF. OAF is not designed with AJAX in mind.

JDeveloper 9i for Oracle 11i 10 with RUP4

Hi,
I am trying to download JDeveloper patch 9i with OAF extension for Oracle Apps 11i 10 framework with RUP4. I am having issues with finding the right patch number as metalink says different patches in different pages. With the one I downloaded, I am having some database connection problem which gives me "IO Exception: The Network Adapter Could not Establish Connection".
Can some help? Pls?

5455514 is the patch for rup 4 based system.
As for the error, it is very generic. Either try to follow the steps for hello world carefully or search on forum, you will find many similar threads on this topic.

No you won't necessarily lose your photos when upgrading but it's very very unwise not to back up first. Backing up is like using a seat belt in a car. You can drive without one for years and have no issues, but if you do have a problem the outcome will be a lot worse. So, too, with back ups. And upgrading is one of those times when the risks of a problem are higher.
Most Simple Back Up:
Drag the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to another Disk. This will make a copy on that disk.
Slightly more complex: Use an app that will do incremental back ups. This is a very good way to work. The first time you run the back up the app will make a complete copy of the Library. Thereafter it will update the back up with the changes you have made. That makes subsequent back ups much faster. Many of these apps also have scheduling capabilities: So set it up and it will do the back up automatically.
Example of such apps: Chronosync - but there are many others. Search on MacUpdate or the App Store

Disco for Oracle Apps with Scheduling not in Apps ~ Throws Error ORA-06502

Hi All,
I have had an SR with Oracle for almost 1/2 year now to set-up scheduling with the scheduling schema not being Apps. They have not been able to fix this yet.
I have used note 757831.1. When I try to set-up a schedule that is recurring, the following error is thrown: ORA-06502.
Does any one have a success story associated with setting-up scheduling in a Disco Oracle Apps end user layer where the scheduling schema is not apps?

Yes, otherwise you will have to pay for those apps again. If an app is purchased by one Apple ID, he/she will be able to redownload it again for no cost (note: this does apply to songs, but NOT to movies).

Using SCM with 10g developer suite

i am using Oracle SCM utilities with 10g developer suite. can any body tell me that is there any way-out, or mechansim exists so that i can add existing coded objects in the database (e.g. procedures, functions, or table definitions) into the repository, and can check-out those objects...make the changes in them, and then check-in back, and SCM repository automatically maintains the history for those database objects (procedures, functions). i don't want to use any designer tool for this purpose. i want to make changes at the code level and want that version history be automatically maintained. tell me that whether oracle SCM can do this or it works only with the definitions created through oracle designer. Or any other alternative solution will also be highly appreciated.

Using ChaRm with 2 Development (source) systems

Before I get into the full description of an issue we are facing. I would like to know if anyone out there is using ChaRM and has 2 development systems defined.

This is the problem I am having
We have 2 landscapes each with a development and quality system. Also there is a single volume test system. Both landscapes point to a single production system. So it would look like this
DW3           DW4
QW1           QW2
           VW1
            PW1
The DW3 landscape is defined as the production landscape (normal releases) and the DW4 landscape is defined as the emergency landscape. The emergency landscape is synchronized with the production landscape during a normal release.
The migration path for a normal release would be DW3, QW1, VW4, (now synchronizing) DW4, QW2, PW1.
The migration path for an emergency fix would be DW4, QW2, VW4 (if performance testing is required), PW1.
All these systems are defined in the ChaRM landscape
When a task list is generated, you are asked which development system, DW3 or DW4. When the task list is generated, it starts at DW4, QW2, PW1, DW3, QW1, PW1 (We have not defined a volume VW4 system in or test landscape).
As well when a creating a transport, and DW3 is selected, ChaRm generates an error stating the task list is out of sequence,
You will notice that the task list goes to PW1 twice. Is there a way to generate the task list in the correct order. DW3, QW1, DW4, QW2 and PW1.

First of all I am sorry if I have posted question in a wrong forum but I have tried posting my problem in struts forum also but didn't get reply & I am pretty new to struts.
I am trying to use ajax in struts 1.2.9.I have used 1 dependent combo.When I am changing value in 1 combo it will call an action class which will fetch data for 2nd combo .My problem is ,action class "success" has to be forwarded to some particular jsp.But I want to refresh only a part of page not the whole page.How to refresh just a part of page?? Problems using Ajax with Apex 3

I've got a client website biult with Application Express on a Oracle Database System. I attached some Ajax funtionallities on fields and there are standard Interactive Reports which are biult on Ajax as well.
When I try to access the site normally (http) there are occuring no problems at all. But when I try to access the site via https, the Ajax functionallity doesn't work right.
For example: There is a field named P37_STD_ERFASSTER_WERT which has an onblur javascript event: onblur="viertelstunde_runden(this)". This calls the following javascript function.
The Java Script code calls an Application Process which calls a PL/SQL function on my database.
JavaScript code:

As a proxy I've got an Apache2 server on a Ubuntu Server 8.1. Is there something wrong defined in the Apache2 Config?

JSF RI 1.1 = Java Server Faces Reference Implementation 1.1.
It is the Sun reference implementation of JSF. There are also 3rd party implementations of JSF available, like MyFaces, Tomahawk, IceFaces, ADF, etcetera.
If you aren't limited to JSF RI version 1.1, I recommend you to use version 1.2. It provides more features and benefits.

How to use TAXBRJ with TAXBRA activated at core level for Brazil

I am supporting Brazil localization customization in ECC 6.0 for our company. We activated TAXBRA for Brazil. We flagged off CBT for all SD pricing procedure knowing the value of RVABRA. But one process in brazil we presently using in 4.6C with TAXBRJ along with customized pricing procdure make use of formula based calculation.
So we would like to follow the same method in ECC 6.0 also. However the condition based calculation RVABRA does not support this process as this process requires more formula based calculation.
So we need to know is there any chance to use TAXBRJ with customized formula based SD price procedure for our requirement.
I read through document (Condition based calculation in R/3 for Brazil version 3.1) the following steps to do alternate calculation procedure:
"In R/3 Enterprise, an extension to the concept described in section 5.8 has been introduced. In the table J_1BMWSKZKALSM,
alternative calculation procedures can be specified that are to be used for certain tax codes instead of the standard one. This is achieved by reading this table in a BAdI before the call to the pricing procedure and modifying the communication fields that contain the calculation procedure and the tax code.
Thus the user could e.g. use the external tax calculation for some tax codes (by specifying TAXBRJ in the above mentioned table) or use several smaller calculation procedures, e.g. in case of performance problems or new requirements."
