Use an FCPHD movie in imovie6

What is the best way to get an FCPHD movie into imovie6? I really need to use an iDVD6 template for my FCPHD movie. I guess another way to ask the question is, How can I import my FCPHD movie into iDVD6? Thanks

I have a great family FCPHD movie. If I go thru compressor, it takes forever, and I cannot use FCPHD, would I lose PQ if I export to QT, and then go to comprssor, or directly to DVDSP. Obviously, the QT export would be self contained. Opinions ? Thanks in advance,

Rick, whether you use dvdsp OR compressor, you are using the same software engine for encoding. Each application interfaces differently, that's all.
I have always done my encodes right in DVDSP and have always been perfectly happy. Others swear by compressor. You're going to have to try both and make your own conclusions. There's absolutely no way around it. We can't see the footage from where we are, and everyone has their own opinions about what is "good enough for TV."

No sound when using Airplay for Movies on Apple TV

For reasons unknow, when I try to stream full length movies (Lion King and Nemo bought from iTunes) from my iPhone or Macbook Pro using Airplay, there is no sound. When I stream smaller movies, like Boundin' the Pixar Short, there is no problem.
Side note 1: Why do purchased movies not show up like purchased TV shows on Apple TV? I feel like I shouldn't have to use Airplay for movies if I don't need to use it for TV shows I buy.
Side note 2: For some Netflix movies played directly from Apple TV there is no sound. Other movies work fine and the movies that work or don't work seem to change day to day.

Apple has not negotiated the rights to allow this is the assumed reason.
We can't even play Purchased music or TV Shows from the cloud in UK.

Background posting in MIGO using 501 E movement type

Hi Experts,
I do have a requirement in which I have to post excess quantity to same batch , storage location and under same grid value by movement type 501 E after posting with 101 movement type is done.
I do need that after creation of a PO .
I have to do MIGO ,GR wrt PO by movement type 101.
Let PO Quantity(goitem-bsmng) be 100.
But when entered quantity in delivery note(150 ) is more than over delivery PO tolerance quantity(110) ,
then 110 should be posted as under movement type 101
and remaining 40 quantity should be posted to same storage location , batch and grid value under movement type 501 E and that too in background.
Any one if face the same situation , please help me out.

See that Mvt 311 is trf betwn st.loc to st.loc, where the goods are not leaving any valuation area, hence there's no value change, which means Accounting Documents are not created as they are not necessary.

I have got VLC which runs them fine but cannot get movies saved in iPhoto to play in VLC...and of course its a real bugger to copy moves from iPhoto to another folder; in fact if anyone can tell me how to do that I will accept defeat!

I saved a new workspace and it did not help.
No problem before I went to Maverick.

I found the fix, go to System Preferences and open Mission Control and uncheck the box to keep monitors as they were (When switching to an application...........)

I m using apple mac pc, when we start windows 7 , apple mouse doesn't work properly it take to much time to gain signals from the pc and many times it not work but when we use mac it moves fastly and works properly. please suggest me. thanks ravi

All computers are personal computers, a PC though is also "non-Apple" in common usage.
Mac also is platform and OS.

Problem using "Photo to Movie" and "Toast 8 Titanium" for dvd slideshow

I used photo to movie to compile a 20 minute collection of photos for a relative's funeral. All the files were still photos (no video) but I added 4 songs (that I had in iTunes).
When I go to "create movie", I normally select NTSC for toast, but when I do so toast gives me an error saying "filename.dv is an unsupported format and cannot be imported".
I just went throw this process a day ago for a wedding slideshow (using same computer and workflow) and it worked fine!!! What could be causing this?
I have downloaded all the latest updates of both toast and photo to movie.

I finally figured out (after 8 hrs of troubleshooting) that there was one photo in there it didnt like. When I finally found the photo (by process of elimination) and replaced it, everything worked fine. Just wish the error messaging would be more specific to help me locate the problem!

What the Fox said. ( my question I believe fox!) sort of although it wasn't that complicated.
I don't think i did build the replicator myself, It think i used the built in one, Library -> replicators ->Transitional -> Dots In Left etc. No point reinventing the wheel.
I did mess around with the sequence replicator to get it more even though.
Once I got the replicator working I probably exported it as a movie and then imported that to use as the mask. That's just me I don't like to many moving parts in a project. Another way would have been to create a Clone of the replicating layer and use that where needed.
I didn't use the mask to remove the image, I simply had a black solid above it and revealed that. And then another footage layer above that, etc etc. The effect looks more complicated because sometimes the footage being revealed changes mid flow.
ll quite simply really. The reason why we did this was because we didn't have any footage, and the stuff we did have the artiste didn't like, so we had to try and disguise it.
In answer to your other question, yes all titling is done in Motion. even the 3D stuff. I used to build 3D titles in Cheetah 3D and export movies into Motion. Then I discovered Element 3D, which was great , After Effects only sadly. But now we have mObject from motionVFX which is great and motion 5.0 all the way.

Moving Stock Directly to a Fixed Bin using a Special Movement Indicator

I am trying to set up moving stocks directly to fixed bin using special movement indicator.
Found the below in SAP documentation:

Each time a goods receipt is posted for material ABC, you want to move the material directly to storage bin FIX-ABC in storage type 005 of warehouse number 001 without creating a transfer requirement or transfer order. To do this, you need to set up the system as follows:
1. Create the fixed bin FIX-ABC in storage type 005 that is defined in the standard system using the fixed bin search strategy.
2. Create a special movement indicator for your warehouse number.
3. Add the special movement indicator and the fixed bin FIX-ABC to the material master for material ABC.
4. Create a new WM movement type to move materials directly into fixed bins without creating transfer orders or transfer requirements.
5. In the reference movement type table, create a new entry that links an appropriate IM movement type to the new movement type using the special movement indicator.

You can go to LE-WM-interfaces-Inventory management-Define movement types-
a) Assign WM Movement Type References to IM Movement Types - here you can assign your IM mvt to WM mvt
b) then LE-WM Interface to Inventory Management - here you can assign the ref movement type assigned in 1 above to the actual WM movement type you want to carry out and you can assign your special movement indicator here as well.
So this will be
<WH No.> <ref. mvt say 101> <mvt indicator say B ( for PO)> <spl mvt indicator that you have created> <Wm mvt type> <TR creation - X or A > <Immediate To creation X or A >

What setting should I use for exporting movies?

I've read quite a lot of posts on these forums - I am getting
the dreaded whitespace instead of the movie I want to see on my
webpage.
I created an flv from Premier Pro, put it in Flash CS3 +
exported a SWF. the SWF plays fine in Flashplayer 9 and when I
select 'play' in the properties bit in Dreamweaver CS3.
I used the 'insert movie' option (just using the flv) at
first in DW but could not get it to work - despite making sure the
Scripts file was uploaded. So I went with the old fashioned bit of
script and used a Flash created SWF.
I uploaded a swf i didn't create to test and that did display
correctly in IE etc. This makes me wonder if I am doing something
wrong in Flash. should it be as simple as file>export>export
movie>OK?
Grateful of you help. The morning has just disappeared trying
to figure this one out...

I still had a copy of Flash MX 2004 installed, so i created a
swf that i was able to publish successfully from - well - the
output ran slow. This suggests i am still doing something wrong at
the publishing stage.
