Use BPEL Java API in JDeveloper 10.1.3

I am now trying to use JSF with BPEL.
I found that the JDK version in BPEL10.0.2 is 1.4.2_06 and in JDevelpoer10.1.3 is 1.5.0_05.
Can I use BPEL Java API (invoke , worklist...) in JDevelpoer10.1.3 ?
Or I have to use Web Service proxy to invoke BPEL?

technically yes, from a jdk persectuve, nevertheless the 10.1.4 ormi stack needs to be patched to be able to work with 10.1.2.0.2 .. pls get the appropriate patch from metalink.. as desribed here at a friends blog ..

I check for the result only after I have checked that the instance is closed (completed or faulted) by using IInstanceHandle:getState() and InstanceHandle.STATE_CLOSED_COMPLETED, or IInstanceHandle.STATE_CLOSED_FAULTED
I would like to add that so far I had no problems with invocation and geting result of sync BPEL processes. I do not what is missing for async processes.
Any kind of help is appreciable.

Using the Java API to address a specific instance

Hi,
I've created another operation (onRequest) in the client of an async. process.

I then use this operation in a recieve activity so that I can stall the flow of the instance, and then call it whenever I whant from a RMI client.

My problem is that, after the creation of one or more instances of this process, how can I send a post message to a specific instance using the Java API?
I understand that i should use something like...
deliveryService.post("Exp2", "onRequest", nm );
but there's nothing to "say" that this post message is to be delivered to the instance with the ID "xx".
I also know that I need to use correlation on this but I don't know how.
I would really apreciate some help on this.

This is a very good question: here is a code snippet that shows how you can add a conversation id to the NormalizedMessage that you are sending to the delivery service.
HashMap properties = new HashMap();
properties.put("conversationId", "yourUniqueKeyHere");

nm.setProperties(properties );
// The rest is the same

Please note that you will need to use the conversationId property both with the message you use to initiate the BPEL process and the message you use to perform the onRequest call.
Please note that if at some point you want to perform any of the 2 calls through the SOAP channel, you can embed he conversationId in the WS-Addressing header within the relateTo element.

How to disable BPEL java api logging in SOAP mode?

Hi,
I have build an 11g ADF based application using the Oracle BPEL java API to access the BPEL and workflow engine. Since i am unable to make it running with the REMOTE_CLIENT on Weblogic 10.3 we run it in SOAP_CLIENT mode. This generates a lot of logging which i want to turn of in our production environment. Does anybody know how to achieve that? Or even better, how to use the bpel api in REMOTE_CLIENT mode from a 11g adf application?

No you dont have to change your startManagedServer.cmd/.sh everytime you need to have a Java Embedding activity. You only need it in case of using Log4J. As log4j requires a configuration xml viz log4j.debug.xml and log4j.dtd you need to let the soa managed server know about it. The best way to load this configuration files is using the JAVA_OPTIONS command during server startup.

Error while using LiveCycle java APIs with Http servlets:"Remote EJBObject lookup failed for ejb/Inv

When i try to run more than one servelt of the Quick Start samples that using Livecycle Java APIs and i get an error of "Remote EJBObject lookup failed for ejb/Invocation provider" from any servelt i run.
I try some Quick samples which is not servelts (java class) and it works fine, which makes me sure that my connection properties is true.
Environment:
The LiveCycle is based on "Websphere v6.1", and i use "Eclipse Platform

I assume here that your application is deployed on a different physical machine of where LCES is deployed and running.
Do the following test:
- Say that LCES is deployed on machine1 and your application is deployed on machine2. Ping machine1 from machine2 and note the ip address.
- Ping machine1 from machine1 and note the ip address.
The two pings should match.
- Ping machine2 from machine1 and note the ip address.
- Ping machine2 from machine2 and note the ip address.
The two pings should match.
Usually this kind of error would happen if your servers have internal and external ip addresses.

Is it possible to load a non-standard image using some Java API?

Hi,
My "problem" is:
1. I have an image called "mediterranean_sea.IMG" (non-standard image format)
2. I need to process it (histogram, palette, etc).
3. I'm wondering if it is possible to load this image an process it using some Java API.
4. I've tried to do this using JAI but I think that this API only works with TIFF, PNG, JPEG, etc.
Any idea?

It consists of MDM iViews like Item Detail iView (allows to create,edit and delete the records) , Resultset iView (Displays the records, allows to add the records in workflows etc), Search iViews (for searching)i.e. Data Manager functionality.
Java API are used when you need some functionality that standard MDM iViews dont have.MDM Java API consists of set of classes and interfaces with the help of which customization can be done.

I have SAP MDM 7.1 SP11 and SAP Portal 7.3 and developing the custom webdynpro application using the JAVA MDM API. I want configure the SAP MDM destinations in SAP Portal .
How to access the MDM destinations in java code using API? and how to create the connection with MDM using the MDM destinations.
Please provide the code for access the SAP MDM destinations in java code using MDM java api and creating the connection to MDM.

Problem with creating customer account using TCA Java API

Hi,
I am trying to create customer account using TCA java API. i am getting exception saying PL/SQL numeric error: character to number conversion. but this error raises when calling API method
HzCustAccountV2Pub.createCustAccount.
can any body help me in solving this issue, any clue why this exception raises. i have tested even the code given in TCA API user guide. that code also gets same error.
